ThirdLove is trying to upend the lingerie industry and their big sell is making the lingerie shopping experience more seamless and customer friendly. This is simply not true.
They sent me a bra with a strap sewn in twisted. Clearly not a bra anyone was going to wear.
Emailed them - no response. Called them - no response.
Finally got them on live chat and instead of apologising and immediately sending me a replacement, ThirdLove insisted that I spend the time dealing with USPS to send it back.
Not an issue you would have to deal with when buying bras with a traditional retailer, online or in-store.
Poor quality control AND poor customer service. Sorry you're having to deal with it :(
wow that's pretty crappy! Did they at least refund you for the return shipping or send you a free shipping label?
They didn't offer to return the USD 2.99 shipping.
They did send me a free shipping label - though in the same email they threaten to charge me for the full amount of the bra if I don't scurry over to my local USPS and send it back.
Thanks for the encouragement!
F those guys.
I've had a pretty decent experience with them, and plan to post my two bras up here soon. The customer service is definitely a little bit slower than they could be, but I got what I needed handled easily and at no cost to me.
As for the bra selection - they ONLY offer my size (30E) in the 24/7 T-shirt bra which was disappointing. The bra itself is pretty comfy although the band seems a bit stretchier than some of my other ones. The cups are also a TINY bit smaller than, say, my Cleo but they are EXTREMELY comfortable and really mold to your shape after the first wear.
Overall I'm impressed - I did buy a second one, after all ;)
michpe I just noticed you had your issue around the same time that I had to do a return because I ordered extra sizes to try. They were slower than the first time I dealt with customer service... Maybe due to holiday fallout? LOL
Either way that stinks that you had to deal with a crap customer service person. That's never fun :(
I had EXACTLY the same experience just recently , and I was so looking forward to their business model. However, in reality, they are IMPOSSIBLE to get on CHAT or phone, and i was unable to get any personal reply via email. I continued to get standard email responses which forced to to return rather than exchange my bra (their app suggested a size that was not available). They are not living up to their hype one bit. Stay clear!
I found out AFTER I ordered my first bra that this company supports and PROMOTES Planned Parenthood. DEAL BREAKER.
Funny the mention about Planned Parenthood... That actually makes me want to but ThirdLove exclusively! Planned Parenthood was there for me when I was afraid to go to my mother about testing and it was there for my mother and her sister when they were teens in need of screenings, birth control, yeast infection testing and medicine, and more. They are affordable and easy to get into - that's something we need more of these days.
Using the closest size to my size calculate some this site, I tried a few ThirdLove bras. This one fits very well. The small removable pads allow me to even out my breasts. The fabric of very soft, we will have to see how long it lasts. The low fire helps with my close set breasts. This band fits well, but the t-shirt bra version using the same fabric had a band that was 2 inches shorter. I’m not sure if that was a manufacturing mistake or a design issue. This one works for me though, so I am keeping it. I am excited to see if this stays as comfortable when I wear it all day.
I wanted a perfectly plain, smooth black bra and was sold on the promises of heavenly softness and shapeshifting memory foam cups.
Unlike the Everything strapless, the 24/7 fits and feels exactly as advertised. It really is perfectly soft and squishy, but not bulky -- the cups are thickly lined but I wouldn't call them padded. The band is smooth all the way around and has the label printed right on to the padded hook closure so there aren't any itchy tags. All of the hardware is metal.
The 30D band fits well on the tightest hook right now, so the band is true to size. I think I may ...just have to make peace with loose bands because 28-anything is an inconvenient size to find.
It's a little hard to tell how the cups fit by looking at them. Going by feel, I think they're just slightly too wide, which is not an issue. They do however appear to cut in pretty quickly at the top, similarly to the 30D Claudette Dessous. Somehow, inexplicably, this doesn't seem to cause any visible quadding, so I guess it's not a problem either.
Appearance wise, this bra looks absurdly projected. I don't understand how the cups feel completely filled and don't cut in, because this bra is absolutely not the same shape as my boobs. Underneath a clingy shirt, it makes me look unnaturally perky. In theory, there's no way a bra shaped like that should fit me, but my boobs are convinced that it does. Witchcraft.
I don't know how I feel about the ultra-round shape or the weird pleated straps, but it's so pillow-soft and comfortable that I don't even care. This bra is going straight into regular rotation. Read more 176 more words
Very comfortable and stylish. I like that I can remove the pad on my larger size to even out there fit of the cups. The wires are not digging into my armpits bit the fabric does cut through in a weird way. I need to avoid some of these triangle shaped plunge bras to not have that fabric problem. The soft fabric means it doesn’t bother me much. I did NOT use the ThirdLove measurement system and just went with the closest size that they have to what I got from the calculator here.
5/25/2020: I've always been hesitant to buy a lacy bra because I've always felt like you can always see the bumpy lace under thin shirts. I am so glad I took a chance on this bra! I wore it under a relatively thin cotton Jersey knit top last night and you couldn't tell it was a lacy bra. This bra fits so well and makes me feel sexy and pretty. The band isn't as smoothing as Thirdlove's full coverage bra, but it's wide enough not to accentuate rolls (at least for me). I'm so happy with this bra so far. I'll try to give an updated review after a few wears.
Looks great. Glad you like it. I’ve been curious about them but suspect that they will be a shape mismatch as I need narrower cups that are projected. And that’s a rare thing in non Polish bras.
I've had my eye on this one too but also concerned it would be wide and shallow!
This is @ThirdLove's 24/7 Classic T-Shirt bra and I was so so excited to try it. I want to love it so much but the cups cut into my armpits. It's so soft and smooth and I love the company but I just don't think I can keep this bra. This is a common problem for me. I wish I could deal with this but I am all about comfort when it comes to clothes. I'm going to try a different style from ThirdLove and hopefully find something that works.
Edit 2/23/17: After wearing this bra a day or two and loosening the straps almost all the way (a ...thing I have NEVER had to do before), I have changed my mind. The top of the cups near my armpits are still wider than I'd like but overall, this bra is very comfortable. I haven't had an everyday underwire bra since I was 17-19. I'm so glad I gave this bra another chance.
Edit 4/3/2017: I wear this bra all the time now. Sometimes the straps slip a little but oh my heavens this is a comfortable bra. I can wear it all day. Plus! It gives me some separation so I don't get the cleavage sweat so much. I love love LOVE this bra.
Edit 5/25/2020: After 3 years of wear and tear, the underwire finally broke through and stabbed me in the ribcage. All in all, this is a great bra. But I will say, since discovering the full coverage bra, I don't know that I'd go back to this one again. Read more 152 more words
Have you tried loosening the straps as far as possible? Sometimes that helps. People tend to overtighten straps after they get resized because they're so used to having to do that as it was the only way to get some lift in their previous, less-than-optimal size.
I was having difficulty with a halter bra I recently purchased. First, I crossed the straps and temporarily attached them to the band. Then, I lengthened them twice in that configuration. Finally, I attached them to the band without crossing and very near the fasteners. From a physics perspective, this final location reduced the amount of stress along the top of the outer cup where I have breast tissue that was, otherwise, protesting. wendybien, thanks for your suggestion, because it spurred some analysis of forces :-)
wendybien I just thought of that after posting the review!! It helps so much. The cups still aren't perfect but it's comfortable and the bra was really affordable (comparatively). Thanks for the suggestion!!
Superb push-up bra. Can wear with anything. Cleavage is just right. Stretchy band, so it can fit different sizes. Very comfortable. Straps stay up. I almost balked at the price ($68), but can now say it is absolutely worth the money. A push-up bra which can be successfully worn by a man is a rare find indeed. Glad to be back on Bratabase after along absence. But I need new bras, and this is the best place to investigate!
I keep seeing Third Love ads and they piqued my curiosity. I did their online sizing test and then ordered the bra they claimed would fit me so well I would forget I'm wearing it. I got the bra today, and I don't like it. I can't tell if this is only the wrong shape/style for me, or if it is just too big for me overall.
They send me a 32D, which is quite ambitious, especially since they actually have smaller options. The Classic T-shirt Bra's shape reminds me of the Panache Porcelain, which is still one of my all time favorite everyday ...bras. I wear Porcelain in 30DD. The Third Love bra doesn't feel supportive like the Porcelain though, but that's highly likely because the band is definitely too loose. The bra came missing the second hook on the third rung, so I can't clip it at its tightest setting. This bra is soft, and it feels sturdy and dependable. It does seem like it could last awhile. I'm sending it back, though, because I don't think the size is right, and I don't want to pay $70.00 for a bra with a manufacturing flaw. Read more 99 more words
Oh my this bra is so soft and comfortable! Of course, it's made by a US company, so the sizes are limited. I went with the largest size they had close to mine (34F compared to my normal 34Gish.) The company offers a 30 day free trial, so I had nothing to loose. Sadly, as expected, the cup size is just too small. But, they did a really good job with the cup width and height of the wings. Also, the materials this bra is made from feel amazing! I would say the band size runs a little big, and the ...cup size is pretty dead on, so go for it if you fit into a smaller size! I really need something in the 32G/GG range... It's probably a pipe dream holding out for that size. However, I would even consider trying a 34FF/G if they decided to produce some bigger models. While the band is very stretchy (I could fit my whole fist plus some under their 34 band,) it still seemed to fit in place very well. They have a large selection of really pretty and comfy looking bras, and if they fit I think I would be a dedicated customer. Read more 107 more words
I ordered 2 sizes from ThirdLove, 34C1/2 (poor fit, wrinkly and too loose/unsupportive) and 32D1/2 (great fit!) This was closer to my true size per ABTF calculator which gives me 32DD. (bratabase gives me 32DD or 32E) I have not really tried prior unlined bras and not sure I usually like the triangle shape? But I think it looks OK, and it felt so good I could not stop wearing it. I was concerned for nipple coverage but they did not show under the first few T shirts I tried. And it is just so very comfortable. Definitely gives enough support but very very stretchy.
This is such a pretty bra! It's supposed to be rose gold. Next to my skin it loses the pretty pink glow you see in the pictures on the models with dark and light skin, but it is the perfect nude for my skin tone. I was either given the wrong color, or I have discovered I am the shade rose gold! lol. The lining is really soft. I'm not sure if this is a true molded cup. It definitely has the mold shape, but it is so soft and malleable, not at all stiff like other molded cups I have tried.
Unfortunately, this bra did not fit me. ...The cups are much too tall for me, despite being a balconette style. Basically, my root is the length of the bra up to the gore. The top of the gore was floating off my sternum and I had gaping at the top. The underwire was digging into my ribs. I think this is another case of bigger cup translated to tall cup, not projection. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 72 more words
I was ogling this bra yesterday online. I can’t quite commit to try it. But it looks so pretty!!!! The tall cups are bad news for me too.
dagmarwulfe The good thing is that returns and exchanges are easy. I just sent it back today and I'm a little sad I didn't wait to take comparison pics with a bra I got in the mail today. I just got my first Ewa Michalak bra and the cups are so much shorter!
Ooo, now I excited to hear about the new one!
Ahhh! I was so excited and it is so much closer to fitting! I need to measure it and add my review. The cups are shorter and have more projection, but I still get gaping and the gore isn't flat, but closest I have gotten yet!! At least the top of the cup isn't almost at my collarbone 🤣
Cups at collarbone: yes! Feels. A new bra arrived today and the cups are...... surprise! waaaaayyyy too tall. I think I will return it after I measure and photo it for a fit check tomorrow.
This a really pretty medium dark nude (labeled mocha). It really did not fit. The cups were very nice and soft, but they were unfortunately just too tall. Compared to other US brands I have bought, I was surprised that they were not very wide relative to the cup size, but this means that length of the wire at the gore and wings was very tall. The gore itself was only 3.5 inches and was flat against my chest, but there was another 2 inches from the bottom of the gore fabric to the bottom of the wire, measuring in parallel, not diagonally. For me this means, that the top of the gore was at the top of my breast root. So while everything below that mostly fit, everything above the gore was empty. This cup was massively gaping above my breasts, it's so tall it was pretty close to my collarbone. So yeah, way too big for my short roots. It still managed to dig into my ribs lol, but what bra doesn't?
5/25/2020: After wearing this for a few hours, I'm already very impressed. I'm absolutely in love with the wide straps and smooth back.
I thought a full coverage bra would look frumpy and sad but I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. I wouldn't say it's sexy at all, but it's by no means frumpy. It's smooth and conservative and supportive. I bought a second bra in beige/nude. My only real criticism is that I still wish Thirdlove used 3 hooks in larger cup size bras instead of the traditional 2 hooks. But considering that the back band is still pretty smooth, I can't complain too much.
Will try to review after wearing to work a few times. I work in retail and wearing a supportive bra can really make all the difference.
Initially, I thought the bra fit really well. The band was comfortable, and the straps seemed to be set a semi-reasonable width apart. However, after wearing it more rather than just trying it on, I've found that even with the band on the tightest setting and the straps tightened all the way, the straps would constantly fall down. I wish that the straps were closer together, and this bra came in a 28 band.
The pros: There's no quadboobing or gaping at the top, which is a win for my wide-rooted, shallow boobs. The underwires are a little more rounded than the contour of my underboob, but the removeable cookies help with filling the space.
The bra reminds me a little of the 30DDD - Natori » Feathers Contour Plunge (730023), minus the lace (which I'm not a fan of). I love that it's a plunge, so I can wear it under more tops. The gore feels shorter than the Natori Feathers Plunge, which is nice.

I have been searching for a racerback with a 40 band. Finally found this one a Third Love. Very comfy and smooth. Takes a while to get used to clasp. Great with low-cut t's and tanks.
looks like the gore/clasp is floating... does it hurt?
Nope. Smooth to my breast bone. Feels good.
This creates a lovely profile under shirts.
awesome, that's good. i find that front close bras are the hardest type of bra to find that fits right in my experience. so happy you found one :)
Looks like a good fit! Front clasps are slightly evil, i haven’t ever gotten used to them, and usually they stab me. I always worry about clasp giving out during wear (have had it happen once), I just got 2 Aeries with front closure and was swearing at myself for getting them, but they where free!
Agree on front clasps, BUT I needed a racerback, and this one is great. If I can wear it comfortably all day, just think how comfy it is for women.
Super shallow, more shallow than Natori Feathers contour plunge. Cups are closer together than the Natori which would be perfect for me if it wasn't so shallow. The band is slightly stretchy, size down if you like them firm. The cups are tall and cut into my front armpits.
This bra is soft and stretchy but I think it doesn't give enough center coverage even with a narrow gore. Cups cut into top of breast and are too small. Band fits good though. I think I will try a 32 E and also try the full coverage version. Also, the center gore isn't stitched very well. Maybe I got a dud but it sewn crooked.
The underwire is excruciating, and the cups are too damn tall. And wide. I have short, narrow roots and projected center full breasts. I have actually talked to multiple fit stylists, and gotten wildly different answers. Some say that this bra is their narrowest, others suggested their full coverage. I even used a hypothetical boob shape (the polar opposite of mine) as an example to demonstrate to a different fit stylist on FB (I messaged them about how I was really frustrated with the lack of data available if you're a data-driven company like... where are the numbers to support your claims about style of bra for shape??) ...how little help I've gotten from their FitFinder quiz re: actually good bra suggestions, and they suggested that I try some other bra of theirs. When I clarified that my boobs are the polar opposite of what I described, they still suggested that style. So, that's annoying. On the bright side, this confirms that I can't wear bras with a gore above 1.5, and the 1-1.25 range would be better. Everything else about this was deeply frustrating. Read more 76 more words
Yeah, definitely not narrow at 7" width. Sorry it didn't work out for you... but as it's been said around here before... it's all for bra science! Better luck next time.
Yikes! Typical US fit. Wide and tall as hell. :(
Wilderness1 lol true! I just think it was really funny because I asked for wire width up front at one point, because I'd gotten so frustrated with their FitFinder suggestions, but that's protected information. Honestly, part of me is measuring this bra out of spite because of that.
Calluna the worst!!! I was just so sold on their color schemes and marketing, so even when their fit finder and fit stylists were giving me bad and uneducated suggestions I was still optimistic.
I bought this beautiful bra to wear to a wedding with my full lace-back dress (hard to pull-off for a fuller-busted woman!) and it worked perfectly when I tried it on! I ended up wearing a different dress to the wedding however, so the bra was never worn (new, without tags; only tried on!). Just like my other Thirdlove bras it was SO comfortable due to the memoryfoam cups and adjustable straps. The lace detailing on the back is absolutely beautiful. I hope to purchase this bra again soon in my new smaller size! The racer back is perfect for wearing in the summer with your favorite shirts/tanks https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> It’s perfect for customizing to your size becasue both the waistband AND the shoulder straps are adjustable! Check it out online at: https://www.thirdlove.com/products/front-closure-lace-racerback-bra-1?bra_size=34F
I love this bra. I have three of them in this size (Naked 1, Twilight Mauve, French Lilac). They're superbly comfortable. They're made of foam and it's enough to completely conceal your nipples, but by no means would I say they're padded. I would say about (1/3rd cm) 1/16th of an inch of padding. I would say they run a smidge bit big in the cups, which I don't mind because I'm a bit big on the larger size of 30E, but with very narrow roots, so a normal 30E underwire with slightly larger cups is perfect for me.. The gore is fairly high (I've tried this bra in ...a 30D and a 30E(USDD),, and a 30F (USDDD) and the DD+ bras have a lot more coverage and fabric in general in the cups and higher gores.) I'm also not sure about the pleated strap (okay, I hate it, it gathers dirt and sweat and green tarnish from the metal parts of the straps and serves no purpose), but over all, it's a really comfortable and I love it a lot. Poor quality control AND poor customer service. Sorry you're having to deal with it :(
