This is the white colorway of Torrid's U-back longline bralette. It's made of a soft non-scratchy white floral lace backed with powermesh. All the elastics are covered and non-irritating to me. This bralette is a triangle-cup style shaped by side ruching and a single center seam. The straps adjust only halfway: the front is a decorative lacy elastic and the back is standard bra strap elastic.
Unstretched, the straps measure about 15.5", counting the small triangle-shaped portion in back. The band measurement listed here is what I got by stretching the doubled band and multiplying by two. When I performed the standard stretch fabric percentage test, I got ... a result of around 50% stretch, which could bring the underbust measurement as high as 52". This is a comfortable band, but not a supportive one.
Torrid's bralettes are definitely sturdier and more effective at containing my bust than the other retail brands I've tried so far. However, they are engineered for a much different bust to underbust ratio, so I have my choice between a 3 (band too loose, bra covers breasts but support is all in the straps) or a 2 (band a little loose, but chest is overflowing both under the arm and in the center). Nevertheless, on a day when I can't handle a bra, I still wear these around for a few hours at a time. For people with a larger or less squishy ribcage than mine, these bralettes could be really comfortable - my partner, who has a large ribcage with a wide, shallow bust, fits them almost perfectly.
