This is a gorgeous, totally adorable bra and I am so sad it can't work for me. The band is too tight for me, I need a 30, but even if I got a 30 band, the cups are way too shallow for me unfortunately. The color is beautiful, the pattern is cute, the lace is lovely, and the strap adjusters are totally cute. Basically the cutest bra I've ever seen and I wish they made a more projected version with the same pattern/details.
Like the Betty, the Sophia is a lovely bra. Made of a soft satiny material with a fairly soft mesh material as the top part of the cup. If you are familiar with Tutti Rouge, you know that they have had some manufacturing issues, and that there are more TR bras that are sized wrong than there are true to size. This goes for the Sophia too.
I bought a 28H knowing it would be way too tight in the band after having purchased the Betty in that size and finding out it only measured 26" instead of the 28" it should have been/I needed. After the exchange ...courtesy of Large Cup Lingerie (who are incredibly awesome and whom you should definitely check out), I got my 30GG Betty which was actually a 28. Between my exchanging the Betty and buying the Sophia, my mom gave me an extender. She'd bought a pack of 4 that were pretty cheap, and didn't need them all. So I decided to buy the Sophia when it was on sale at LCL, knowing I'd need an extender.
I really like the Sophia. It's soft, comfy, and cute. Love the blue/green color and the cute heart detail (standard to TR bras). I definitely don't love the fact that I can't tighten the straps enough without one. I am quite high set as well as short, so these straps don't work for me. Thankfully, my mom is going to adjust them so that I can finally wear the bra. In the reviews I read, many people mentioned that the mesh at the top of the cups was way too much fabric. I found that to be true for my shape as well (both FOB and FOT people mentioned it), though it's not too bad. It will also be an easy fix thankfully.
I found the cups of both the Sophia and the Betty to be TTS (true to size), but I've read that many other people find the cups to be off too. It definitely seems to be a total toss up what you'll end up with. TR is a great brand, and I hope they continue to do well. I also hope that they really start listening to their customers and make bras more true to size. Or continue making the 26" bands (plenty of women need them!), but label them as such, and get a better hold on the cup sizing. Read more 298 more words
This bra does not fit like a 28H. It fits more like a 26HH. The band is definitely not a 28 and more of a 26. I wouldn't recommend ordering this bra in the 28 band unless you really need a sub-28 bra because you won't fit it. All that being said I absolutely love this bra because it is super cute and comfortable. I am able to wear this bra on the first set of hooks with all three fastened.
This bra runs incredibly tight, my 28 can only really be comfortably be worn with an extender. The cups are fairly shallow and while they fit, its not a great shape for my boobs. However, the style of this bra is just gorgeous, and for the price the quality is phenomenal.
