So by now you all know I absolutely love this bra, lol. Why else would I buy it in 3 different sizes, and 2 colourways, and I really really want the pink one too.
The band on my 32FF feels a little loose, but the cups, surprisingly, still fit great (with a rixie clip). So I figured I'd sister size down, but unfortunately, the cups on this one don't feel as roomy. Sadface.
It's not so much visible on the photos, and it's not so much visible in real life, lol. It just sorta feels like I will fall out of it if I lean over. Which is a common issue for me with half-cups, but this one is extreme.
The band is nice and tight, the wires firm (seriously, they don't budge), and the shape is perfectly rounded, so if someone is looking for those things, at GBP9.99 on lingerieoutletstore, this bra is a jackpot. Unfortunately, I can't buy it in 30GG as it wasn't made in GG. Oh well.
Does your band feel okay? :) Haha, I can understand what you mean about a half cup bra. I can also see where you'd be afraid you'd fall out of the cups :) too bad it didn't work like you were hoping, but it never hurts to try. It's nice having a bra that you really like! :)
DerangedDragons19 Ah yes, the bands that stretch to about 75cm +-1 feel great, except for the 65GG EMs which feel tight, god knows why. It's probably the cups...
Ooh goody! Hooray for great fitting bands! :) Ha, I couldn't tell you. It could be? Do the cups feel tight/pinched to you?
It feels tight around the wires actually! At the back, the sides, I don't even feel the band, but at the wires it's pretty uncomfortable
Hm. It could be your cups then. I've noticed that the band tends to feel tighter when the cups are too small. Some brand are more noticeable :p Kris Line, Comexim, Kinga, and EM felt that way for me, but KL and Kinga were way worse. 😬 Hopefully your 65H trial can give you some answers :)
Is this an unlined bra? It does give you a great shape. I may have to check it out for myself in my size. Hmmm....
It is unlined! I have photos of beige and black in 32FF, even nicer shape!
It looks very lovely. Sorry you don't feel secure in it though. :-/
Oh yeah, it does look like you have better support in the 32FF. Interesting.
I've had this on my 'want' list / basket from lingerieoutletstore for a while now - thanks for your review! May have to bite the bullet and order, before it sells out 🙃
However I'm curious, they offer a balconette and a plunge version? But the pictures shown seem the same. And here on BTB it's only added as 'fuller bust bra'. Which one did you order? I'd lean towards the plunge as I dislike high gores, perhaps getting that in pink in 32G I guess..
I actually got both (the ones in 32FF I have added here), to me it's the same bra and I couldn't tell you what the difference is. This one is the balconette.
Thanks for your quick reply, and interesting! Do you know if they did have different labels / serial numbers? Or would it just be 1 model, accidentally added under two different ads 🤔
Figured they might have added a wrong picture - as the plunge & balconette really look the same - and there's a different bra, a Fantasie I think, where they added a picture from the side support bra in an ad for the vertical seam bra. Anyhow. We'll see!
On the bras themselves the code is the same. On the website, different. I'm honestly not sure whats going on with that, I will say tho this bra has that sort of medium height gore that could pass for either or.
I didn't find much information about this bra before I ordered it. so it was a bit of trial and error. I previously got this bra in 34E, however it was too small in the cups and while that didn't show so much while wearing the bra, the wires cut into my right side badly and left an angry red mark. The main reason I got it... it reminds me of Panache Black Quinn Balconnet Bra (9241) minus the painful, wide wires and uncomfortably tall gore.
32FF is a much much better size for me.
The band runs true to size. I was a little disappointed that they ...only put 2-hook clasp for a fuller bust bra, but I'm not really having issues with how it holds. I just feel like the 3 hooks would have been better. The band is comfortable, and the material used (very stretchy mesh) is not scratchy.
The cups are made of three parts, sewn vertically. There are no horizontal seams in the cup at all. In a way I like this because bras with vertical seams are the only ones that give me that perfectly round shape. They are lined with nude strong mesh, so no nipples will show in the black bra. There is an additional double mesh side sling sewn inside of cups, for more shaping and support. Still, the cup has some stretch. Not a lot, but enough for me. The top of cups are also lined with an elastic. No seams cut into my very soft tissue, and the cups provide decent support. Very pleased about this. They are kind of demi (halfcup) coverage, I wouldn't call this bra a balconette (but I think the manufacturer did)
The wires are... perfectly shaped for me, I think. Follows my imf all the way. They are extremely firm, so beware if you don't like that. I can see these wires being an issue for short or high-set women. They are a little bit tall on the sides. This is not an issue for me as I'm fairly low set.
The wires join at the gore, which tacks, not much to say about it. I like the little keyhole at the gore, and the little diamond detail. It's discreet, and not tacky at all.
The straps are not adjustable all the way, but it's as if they are. There is a cute little double strap detail at the top of the cups, to which the actual adjustable straps are attached. The straps are also fairly long, so much so I don't have to loosen them all the way as I do with most bras.
I got this bra as a bargain from lingerieoutletstore (only 9.99GBP), as Ultimo went out of business so everything's pretty much on sale. I liked it so much that I ordered it in nude, and with matching panties for both, and am now considering getting the pink one as well! I did not have this good experience with other Ultimo bras.
update: after wearing this bra a few times I have come to realisation--the vertical seams are what makes this bra so supportive. There are two vertical seams making the cup give amazing lift, and slightly minimised, but round shape. Read more 427 more words
it looks like a great fit on you! Nice find... I don't blame you for getting the other colourways. The lace is pretty on this bra.
The lace is the nicest feature of it! I am wondering if it's a good fit, but it's a comfortable bra that I wouldn't mind wearing every once in a while.
It looks like a good fit to me in the pictures, but I know pictures can be deceiving! (I'm not very good at deciphering fit from pictures...)
The cups are super hard even for a moulded bra. Its almost as though it was meant to be armour. The wires were a nightmare. My skin became so bruised and painful from the gore.
This bra is kind of an exagerated version of what my usual fitting problem is. That is get quad boob in the middle but excess fabric at the top where the straps meet. So although this bra appears way too small i couldn´t go up a size because it is already too tall and big at the top. I like the style though of having just a little bit of padding at the bottom. It doesn´t really look or feel like a padded bra but the padding gives a good lift. I thought this might have finally been the solution to my quest to find a non ...padded-moulded bra that fits. I thought maybe the little bit of padding would mean it could still fit, but as it wasn´t all padded i might feel like i had something different and an alternative to my usual moulded cups. But no! This was not the solution at all.
The body of this bra fits nicely though. I think is firmish for a 30. I measure a 28 but found this comfortable in the body (although i think i don´t wear my bras as tight as most people on this site seem to). Read more 95 more words
The excess fabric at the strap isn’t considered a fit issue. The rest of the cup is too small for you. Generally instead of sizing down the cup, look for cups that have a shorter height, like a half cup, if this bothers you.
I’d suggest a half cup style too if the taller gores don’t bother you. Not very many people add cup height yet but I can think of a few bras I tried that were just too short for me. Some Gossard are shorter, the Sm shape Ewa M, cleo unlined are often shorter. You might have tall roots too and a lot of inner fullness making it a bit more challenging. Open cups help that. I’ll have to look at some of your other bras. I’m a similar size if you want to look at any of my reviews.
I sized up in the cups for this bra, but it still didn't fit. It's waaaaaay too shallow for me. I've never had a bra fit so badly before, and that's saying something. The wires can not physically reach my imf because of how shallow the cups are. The bottom half of the cups are completely flat against my ribcage and then jut out where the cup has a little more depth. There isn't enough cup left at that point to contain all of my boobs and the result is a hot mess. I wish I'd taken a picture of my wearing it to illustrate just how bad of a fit this was.
The band is nice and snug and is lined with silicone to help it stay up. It looks like it would be good quality strapless bra if you fit its shape. Projected, full-on-bottom people, stay away.
I tried an ultimo strapless a few months ago and had the exact same fit problems. It was seriously the worst fitting bra I've ever tried... so bad that I didn't even want to give it away for free here.
I know what you mean. I didn’t want to offer it here either so I decided to return it.
My shape: short rooted and projected at the wire.... This bra: tall and shallow at the wire = did not fit.
The aesthetics of this bra is very bridal-like, as the name implies, though I bought it was an everyday strapless. The quality looks good, and it's a multiway, but the mismatch with my shape means that it's unwearable for me.
What's good?: Ehh... It's very pretty to me. Fits my body and boobs well.
What's bad?: Ehh. Shape, it's god awful, very pointy and that's not my thing. Cup construction. You'll see when I upload a picture.
Update: I've seen the light. This is the one, this is the bra I will model others around. The dimensions on this bra work best on my boobs. I've embraced how truly big (and long!) my boobs are and how they look when they're brought up properly. I think my fits will only get better and better from here.
Okay, enough of that.
The lace top is not as rigid as I would ...like, but it looks so pretty on my bosom and considering I won't wear this everyday, I'm not worried about. If a 36 would've been available, I'd exchange for that as the band is very stretchy. I plan on wearing it on the second notch to get more stability on the band. The cups are deep and wide, and I'd say they're the maximum I'd go, anymore and I'd be going east and west. The seam is heavy and will be visible under tight clothes. It is evident to me that Ultimo didn't give all the time in the world to this bra, but I can only hope they will devote more time to construction in the future. For now, I'm very excited that it fits well. Read more 128 more words
This is yet another beautiful bra from Ultimo but how I just wish I had a store nearby to try them on before ordering.
I have the Spy bra in a 32 band and it feels perfect, so I ordered the Lulu in the same band size. I am now wondering how too bands can be so different. I can not close the Lulu while still breathing. It's unbelievable tight. I have to use an extender, and that on the loosest hook. It's really weird.
I ordered in a G cup, like the Spy, which I think was a got fit. But the Lulu seems way bigger in the cup. ...This makes the center gore not lay flat against my sternum. My boobs fall a little towards the center, thus lifting the gore, though not by much. I also think the outer edges of the cups comes uo to high towards my armpit.
Besides from the size problem it's a really beautifil bra. The cups are padded, perhaps a little stiff, like the Spy. They are black on the inside and have a champagne colored satin front overlayed with black lace, folded in three wedges at the bottom. There's a small charm on the top of the gore and a small whole below it with view to bare skin. At the bottom of the band is edged with the satin all the way around except for the closure, the rest of the back band is black. The front part of the straps, which are halfway adjustable, are coved with the champagne colored satin, the back part of the straps is black elastic.
I couldn't be bothered to return it for a FF, which is actually ridiculous, since I now own (and wear) yet another not really well fitting bra. I'm wondering if I could loosen the lace covering at the edge of the cups and sow a small wedge in the cups. Don't know if it would show, but it might be worth it. And I haven't given up on Ultimo. I really like their designs.
Update after 10 months I haven't worn this a lot. It's still rather tight but I can wear it without the extender now. I've thought for while that the straps was too close to my armpits. I get chafing wearing it. Today I moved the straps inward one strap width, 1.5cm, and what a difference! No chafing and the gaping went away. 10 minuts work and it's like getting a new bra. The cups are shaped like a strapless bra with the straps pinned on, so the alteration is completely unnoticeable. Read more 324 more words
I’m pretty sure this is called the OMG miracle strapless but I couldn’t find that model in the bratabase. This bra is too big for me. But only the top of the cup. My boobs fill the bottom of the cups almost perfectly. I have not found a bra yet that matches my imf because of how wide my boobs sit. But oddly it works perfectly for me because the wires go back far enough that they don’t sit on my tissue and cause pain. I’m going to keep looking for a better fitting bra but for now this one was a pleasant surprise.
Scratchy and small in the cup and cup width. Hard to imagine this bra fitting on someone actually needing a 32 inch band. Not a pleasing black and green design in person.
This bra was nicer, velvety in person, which I didn't realize. Unfortunately, cups gaped a bit on top, and the material was scratchy for me (I'm sensitive). This might work better for someone a little fuller on top.
Wow, I really wanted to like this bra. The size was just slightly off, giving me a bit of quad, and digging the wire into my ribs. I'm FOB, center full, wide & tall shallow roots, but also with a fair bit of projection (I think!).
This bra fits without any gaps. Once you're in it, you're in it! No moving or shifting so you don't have to re-adjust or pull it down later on. The only fit issue I could mention would be slightly less comfortable with underwire digging in to the body tissue at the sides, when laying down but that happens in all bras to me. This is not what I would call a 'soft' or unlined bra, those flimsy kinds are not my preference, this is great and doesn't show through a top. It has really lasted well, as for the design, it is beautiful. I have always hand washed it and the lace has not pulled or come off despite months of wear. I know bras should be discarded after so long so I have bought this exact same bra again.
It is tall and I had no gapping at the top. But it gives no shape, it's very flat and more like a minimiser. Good for body armour, sports or relaxing, even though it has a fancy chain. Where are you supposed to go inside? Up and in.
I am not sure if this fits. when i first put it on and scoop there is some quad boob but it seems to settle. The back feels ok, although better on the middle hook and i can easily wear on the tightest (but it isn´t made in 28). I have trouble finding bras that fit and especially non padded bras so although this is not perfect i am considering keeping it. My issue is usually that there is gaping fabric at the top where the straps meet the bra but quad boob in the middle where my breasts meet. In this bra this doesn´t ...seem soooo bad. It is more of a straight across style rather than plunge so i don´t think it is as high near the straps so there isn´t so much extra fabric, although i would still prefer it to be a bit shorter. I think my issue is that i have short root but i don´t really know.
The wires at the front in the middle sit a bit funny as my breast being close together push them out a bit and they don´t sit quite right, but are ok.
This bra doesn´t give much shape. I think looks ok from the front but not great from the side. I wouldn´t be able to wear with fitted tops, but would be ok under jumpers.
I am used to wearing moulded cups (as i can´t find anything else that fits) so in comparison i don´t find this as supportive as i am used to but is ok.
The underlay of the bra is a skin tone. Objectively i think it is great that it is a darker brown colour as skin town too often (nearly always!) seems tto mean fair skin. However while objectively i think it is good that this is a darker skin tone, as i am actually very fair for me the colour is too dark. But this wouldn´t stop me getting the bra if i decide the fit is ok.
Update - I decided not to keep this and keep trying for something that actually fits and not just sort of fits. Read more 257 more words
You have more center tissue than any of these bras allow - have you tried REVERSE scoop and swoop? Moving the tissue towards the OUTSIDE of the cup instead of towards the inside, like most videos tell you to do? That works for me in some bras. and loosen the straps
Thanks, yes i do. I tend to scoop up to get into the wires at the side (ie when i first put a bra on usually i don´t feel my breasts are encased in the wires properly maybe because my breasts are a little wide) then once they are in the wire then i run my hand along the top to try and get them back in the bra. Does that make sense_ i think this is what you mean?
yeah, it does just sound like all your bras are too small. A good fitting bra should hug your boob with no empty space and no overflow. Dont be afraid to go up a cup size - again, just because one bra was too bgi doesnt mean another model will be in that size. each model runs differently
I will say that the nude runs a teensy bit more stretchy, not sure why. The top of the cup on my larger side feels a little lumpy and not as encapsulating as the black colourway.
The color is a very light, neutral nude (neither warm nor cool). I think it suits a very light skin tone. There is some mild nipple showing through the cups.
Does your band feel okay? :)
Haha, I can understand what you mean about a half cup bra. I can also see where you'd be afraid you'd fall out of the cups :) too bad it didn't work like you were hoping, but it never hurts to try. It's nice having a bra that you really like! :)
