I wasn't expecting a good fit from a sports bra made by a non-lingerie specialized company, so I was really surprised and excited when I tried this one on a whim and it actually fit well! It feels much less uncomfortable and constricting than other, more serious sports bras I've tried, but it works perfectly for my uses (muay thai and yoga). Definitely recommend for anyone around my size and shape. It doesn't hurt that it's a really cute bra as well!
32 is comfortable for me and sturdy enough for my needs, although 30 would likely fit even better, but no complaints. One of my favorite sports bras ever! I like that the light lining comes out and is optional
I'm clocking in at a 30GG UK at the time I write this; at size L, this band is too big for me, and the cup area is on the small size (in terms of coverage and compression; coverage is the bigger problem, as I wanted a lot of compression.) It does give quite a lot of compression, bringing me down to 34" overbust, which is teensy for me.
i LOVE that i dont have to pull this sports bra on over my head & un roll it from my armpits.(maybe its just me who cant ever seem to get one on smoothly?...) i also love that there is no hook or clasp in the back so it still feels smooth to lay down in. the zipper in the front hasn't bothered me yet, we will see how sleeping goes. so far, super comfy and does its job. i'm very close set so the fact that this bra has separate "cups" shaped areas but w/out wires and with NO gore is great for my shape. (plse note, that i have very small volume, so it doesnt take much to keep my chest in place. i am not sure how this style would work for someone bustier.)
Front zipper, black with purple+pink pattern colorway
I realize I dont have much tissue/volume as most ladies trying to find a comfy sports bra, but hat doesn't mean that I don't need comfort! This is by far the most comfortable I've tried & even slept in it as I forgot I was wearing it. For my needs (comfort) it's perfect. It doesn't dig into my neck/shoulders and cause pain and it doesn't feel like its pulling my neck/head down. The band is too big for me, as I'm not a 34, so I think it would be more supportive in the correct size, but it's perfect for what I need.
Hello uniboob. Band too loose, cups too small. Eliminates bounce by squishing me completely flat. I will keep this one because it does exactly what I bought it for.
Edit: it actually works nowhere near as well as the 28DD Panache Sport (which might even be slightly too big for me) because the band is so damn loose. It's also a struggle to pull over my boobs, since it lacks hooks. I may end up listing it after all. I'm thinking this would work perfectly for someone who is truly a 32A.
My search for an affordable sports bra or two is continuing long and (mostly) fruitless. There is nowhere in town that carries Panache's sports bra so I can try it on, and Freya's doesn't agree with me, not least because of the super high wires in the center, so compression bras it is! However, finding one that is tight enough in the band without squishing the boobs is like finding a needle in a haystack.
This one is probably the best of these I've tried. It does squish me some, but out of all the ones I tried at Dick's recently, this one was the most comfortable. I really ...don't notice the squash while I'm wearing it; larger-breasted ladies might. The band is wide, comfy, and lovely and tight and doesn't shift during the day or move around at all. Considering that when the bust fits, the band is usually so loose that I get no support or bounce-reduction, I think this one is pretty much a win.
The straps don't adjust, but that's ok for me. They are comfy and the seams don't dig like the last one I owned. The cups are foam and inserted between the outer and lining layers, and don't seem to shift around much or crumple and they prevent show-through nicely.
My chief complaint would probably be that it doesn't hook, but that only becomes a problem when I do stupid things like breaking my thumb at work, and thus can't hook my thumb under the band to take it off. Also, I noticed a strange sensation when I was stretching the first time I wore it, which I determined to be caused by the outer fabric sliding over the cups, which must be tacked to the lining layer. It was weird! Not terrible, though, and I'll get used to it. Plus, like I said, short of a $60+ bra, this is the best one I've tried. Yay, Under Armour!
PS - It's purple! I love purple. Read more 221 more words
I tried this on at Dick's Sporting Goods during one of their tent sales (a clearance event). The fit is a little off because the merchandise control tag was attached right at the hooks and took up quite a lot of room, so not only was it really uncomfortable to try on, it also made the band seem a little tighter than it probably was.
It was a teeny bit difficult to get in and out of because of the racerback that doesn't open with the hooks, but even the little bit of leeway provided by the hooks was enough. My mom, who has a bad rotator cuff, had ...some trouble with it.
I am sad, because I like UA's gear and it was on sale for a good price. I tried it on the tightest hook and it was a little snug, but like I said, I couldn't tell 100%. It feels like it will stretch quickly - probably not much, because UA makes good quality clothing, but any stretch would just be too much. I really need a 30 band, or a 28.
The cups fit well, though, and they did the best job of minimizing bounce out of all the bras I tried. They didn't feel too small or like they were squishing me, even though I wear a 30F in most regular bras, and they were tall enough not to squash into my tall breast roots. As soon as Under Armour decides to put out a line of 30DDs, I will probably buy one! Read more 147 more words
Bought this as a stopgap when my Anita died. Was solidly a 38 at the time, but went with 36 for tightness on the stretchy band. So the cups were wrong sized to start with, and the shape is flattened out to the sides. Also, the straps don't tighten well enough and turn in their fasteners in the back while putting the bra on. The material is nice, design is decent, and the padded cups are removable, but this doesn't come in a workable size for me.
Firstly, this does not fit per se. The cups (or cup-like sections), do not enclose my boobs—rather, this fits like a cup-less compression bra. Despite that, it keeps things in place when I'm running, and there's no spill-over at the armholes. Honestly, for me, I find this much preferable to the Panache or Freya sports bra (I'm pretty shallow), though the straps could adjust shorter. I think Shock Absorber makes something with a similar cut, so I'll try that next.
This bra is comfortable, supportive, and I wear it all the time. It doesn't actually fit, though. The band is usually okay. The cups are way too small, but as there is no underwire, it's easier to get away with. The cup padding doesn't cover my breasts completely, but it doesn't leave seams either. I'm able to perform intense exercise without thinking about my bra! It also gives a good shape and breathes well.
The strap design is someone poor considering the price - the square hooks on the back rotate easily and pull/pinch the fabric.
This sports bra almost fits me. The band is very firm, yet comfortable. It does ride up slightly, but generally, the band is not a source of discomfort. The cups are a bit small on the sides and I have some tissue escaping, but I can usually just tuck it back in.
The material on the cups is very soft and smooth. While the cup material is not thin, there is no padding whatsoever which is a problem if I ever want to work out in this bra and it's cold.
The back is criss cross style and to get in the bra, I need to pull it ...over my head and over past my boobs and fasten it at waist level and pull the straps back over my shoulders. I can see this being a problem for ladies with really big boobs or who are not terribly flexible.
Overall, this is still the best sports bra I've been able to find for myself. I've tried a couple of Freya and Shock Absorber, and they didn't feel very comfortable. I've yet to try the Holy Grail of sports bras yet--the Panache bra everyone on Bratabase seems to be in love with. I'm not sure I could work out or want to lounge around the couch in anything with a wire (I had a bad experience). Read more 117 more words
I bought this bra to replace my Ahh Bras and Genie Bras for lounging around my apartment. Those bras have steadily stretched out over time and can no longer contain my boobs. They will serve as sleep bras now.
This sports bra does not have an underwire so it's a compression style. The "cups" are much too small for me and leave me a bit exposed, but the overall construction of the bra is quite supportive. The band is stretchy (all the way up to 32 inches), but it's a strong elastic that doesn't give easily. There are 2 hooks on this bra and you can tell there were some comfort considerations in the design of this bra given the soft cushion padding on the closure panel. The material is both breathable and wicks away sweat without leaving you feeling wet or cold. Even though this bra is too small for me, I prefer the design and construction of it (and my 32DD UA sports bra) over any other sports bra I've owned.
Great wireless bra. Fits well, the cups are a little close together other than that it's good. Being able to switch from racerback to normal is an awesome bonus.
30DD is a size guesstimate--I've worn this as a 28FF-GG, though it's definitely creating a monoboob. I'd say this would fit someone in the 30DD-F, 32D-E size range comfortably, as the band and back are VERY stretchy. Lightly padded cups and wide, padded straps make this comfortable to wear on its own as a sports top. As this is a compression style, I wouldn't recommend it for anything particularly high-impact. Front zip closure makes it especially easy to put on.
This bra is much too small on me, but still provides a good deal of support. The straps cross over in the back, so there is zero chance of them slipping off. I found the front zipper a bit odd, but it does make the bra much easier to get on and off. I think that, if the center gore laid flat, the zipper might irritate a bit, but I can't be sure. The size is marked 36C, but the label reads 34-36 MD. I think C is the closest equivalent.
With a suggested retail price of $57.99, I bought the Armour Bra because I had a 25% off coupon to the retail store where I purchased it; and it was still $10 more than my trusty Nike Pro Combats, which, at my size, are perfectly adequate. By the way, marketing people, this is one product where I was totally sold by the QR code. But for my size (small breasts and big shoulders), I find myself pushing this back further and further back into that closeted abyss.
