Unearthed a few of these truly ancient relics from the depths of the closet (never unpacked thru several moves over the years). At least 1 fit perfectly as it came as it never made it to the 'time capsule', the rest I presume were abandoned as lost causes to eventually piece out for frankenbras at some point that never came.
Fit appears to be tall, shallow, unsupportive, gore hovers over sternum and sits on inner boobs. Basically exists as a glorified nipple shield.
Cup itself is extremely 'open' with a less distinct pyramid shape to it at the very middle of the cup. Telltale creases ...all over the bottom, and extending from the outer side to inner corner because there's little room in it for anyone who needs projection. The wires are both typical bare steel U shape, but also corkscrewed out from the pressure of breasts bowing the gore forward and the total lack of reinforcing wing on the side of the cup. Obviously the outer wire gouged inward at the ribs, cup flattened entire outer breast and compressed the deepest part of the cup upward into a tiny 4" wide by 8" deep bowl while the rest of the foam looks to have strained diagonally from lower outer to the upper cup attempting to hold the displaced breasts back IN. If I recall correctly this thing might have been dealing with very upper full breastfeeding boobs which likely were around a 34E (actually 26GG but lol we all know those didn't exist pre-2010)
Other than that, this bra seems to be in excellent condition for having moldered away forgotten in the dark forever. I'd expect VS quality of elastics to long since begin to break down and feel perpetually soapy/sticky. Mild pilling along bottom of gore, band elastic and closure, some separation along the decorative stretch lace.
Materials used are '76% Nylon, 24% Lycra' and include a very fine stretch knit lining over stretchy molded foam cups. The external stretch lace is always the same in this trove, and only stretches horizontally. Read more 248 more words
Continuing on my trend of adding measurements, bra #2. This bra runs true to size (even in the band). It has average-wide wires, which is about standard for Victoria's Secret bras.
This bra fits good in the band, but the cup is too small and gives me pretty noticeable quadboob effect. The quality is great- it has so far stood up to a lot of wear. My cleavage looks nice, but it would look better if the cup was the proper size. I would say that compared to other VS bras, the cup on this bra is probably more like a D. This is not to be confused with their new "miraculous" push up bra, this one is different.
The cups for this bra fit me very well, I just wish the gore was wider, as my boobs are very splayed. I typically have issues with VS straps being too close to the edge of my shoulder, and this bra is no exception. This one sits especially wide at the base of the strap, catching my arm if I shift my shoulders at all and causing huuuge wrinkling of the cup. Such a shame for an otherwise halfway decent VS bra
Victoria's Secret is always weird for me. Fitment seems good, but the cups seem to flair outward at the top edge -- as in, away from the chest. It's just odd. If not for that and the usual problems of the straps being very close to the edge of my shoulder, it might be a good bra for me.
This Bra is sexy, but does not fit me well. I think the band has always been a bit too large on me, even when I was heavier because I am fairly petite. The 34DD Victoria Secret is the size I use to wear either thinner or heavier. I did like trying an unlined non push up bra that still had me feeling attractive. The straps only adjust half way so they have always been borderline too large on me but I have narrow slumped shoulders. When I weighed a little more and had more upper fullness I felt very confident in this Bra. The cups are bit more narrow than the padded plunge push ups I have from VS. My rib cage underbust measures about 28inches, this Bra would fit someone with a slightly larger underbust measurment. I wear about a UK28G - UK30FF right now though,
This bra, like most VS bras, does not fit despite being the right size for me, and also feels uncomfortable in the underwire area. I have worn other underwire bras that aren't nearly as hard and uncomfy as these VS ones. The underwires are just so hard and dig in when I bend, the straps also dig in as they have no padding and if I loosen them too much, the bra doesn't provide enough support. VS bras are notorious for being wrong-sized and giving customers the wrong size, and the bras themselves run wrong. A 34DD bra, for example, will fit me from all other brands, except ...for VS. Not only are their bras too small for the given size, but they tell customers they have a bigger bust than they do. I was wearing a heavy winter jacket years ago and my small bust at the time wasn't even visible, and I looked FLAT. And the worker told me 'you are definitely a double D'. Not sure how on earth she came to that conclusion when I was a 34C cup years ago under a big jacket. Not sure why she felt the need to make up a gignormous size. Very odd place, very rubbish, overpriced bras. Read more 101 more words
This bra fit the best out of all at the store. The attendant said my true size was a 32DDD, and when I did an at home calculation it came to about that size also. Most bras don't lie flat on the sternum. This one lay more flat than usual.
My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.
I wanted to try this bra style out because I had heard it ran small in the band, so I went up a band size from my usual 32" to 34". The band is definitely pretty snug for a 34! It's probably on the shorter side of a true 32" band which feels good on me. The cups are very wide, but not very deep, they seem to fit me okay. The band of fabric at the top is just there for show, doesn't compress anything, so I do get a little ...bit of cleavage in this bra during upside down movements in yoga.
The straps feel flimsy and very stretchy when compared to all the other sports bras I own. Length-wise, I can adjust them fine for my shoulders.
The wings on this bra are very tall, so the sides of the cup cut into my tail of spence, thus this is definitely not an all-day wear bra. I got red marks both times I wore it during the day.
The support is more suitable for light impact activities, mostly yoga or weightlifting. Read more 92 more words
Pros: - Comfortable. - Convertible straps change from regular to criss-cross. - Pretty bra and seems well constructed.
Cons: - I get quadding in my larger side.
Verdict: Nope, it just doesn't work for me. It's a such a great, versatile bra, but the quadding ruins it for me. I'd love to replace it with a similar one that actually fits.
I have just had a breast reduction and it feels very wasteful to throw away perfectly useable bras just because they do not fit me anymore. This bra is fun and I've only worn it a handful of times. The base color is white with multicolored spring-like flowers and colors covering it. There are little sparkles stitched into the cups, so be careful wearing shirts that may get stuck on them or are too sheer that you can see the sparkles/color through (unless that's the look you're going for). The lightly lined cups are covered in lace, and the back panels are pure lace. There is no fading, rips, tears, or problems with the underwire. This is a fun, lightly-worn bra that always brought a smile to my face with its pops of color.
Gorgeous bra! Do not wear under thin T-shirts! Unless you're into that sorta thing! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Black lace/White, with Swarovski Crystals colorway
This is a quite pushupy bikini top (in the true Victoria's Secret style). Just a note on the measurements: the top has a tie back that can't be completely undone, so the band measurements are a bit iffy. I tried to make the unstretched band measurement the tightest that it can be adjusted to before stretching. The stretched measurement is the loosest that it can go, but it was probably not stretched as much as it could have been.
This is my old faithful. I dislike my large chest, and this bra tends to give a flatter profile than most, although the trade-off is looking very full from the front if I'm wearing something fitted. It's by far the best bra I've had for looser shirts; they don't tend to hang off me in this, but drape more like they're meant to. It's also the most comfortable underwire bra I've owned. The fabric is super-smooth all over.
