I was gifted this set from Other Eden to review. The set is beautiful and the beige is a great "nude" for my fair skin. However, it is a complete shape mismatch for me. The cups are wide, shallow, and very tall. I have a full review on my blog and am also doing a giveaway for the set.
Thanks for your review. Juliet looks a lot like Vivisence Sophie (1006). The first one I got in 80H fit me similarly to the way this bra fits you except the wires were not too wide. The 80G is just short of tacking at the gore and the wires are a little narrow for me. My roots aren't super wide but maybe on the wide side of average.
Ok, so looking back at the measurements for Sophie, her wires are a good bit more narrow than those of Juliet. My 80G wires are only 5.5" wide.
Good to know, I may try this one.
finallygotboobs that's interested since they said Vivisence all had wider wires and 5.5 at 80G seems like it would be considered narrow. I wonder if it's a change in scaling or if it does vary more than they made it seem between models.
amandafire I guess I'll just have to order a Juliet and find out!
I'll just have to try and not feel bad if I have to return it. So far I've ordered about a dozen bras from Other Eden and I only kept 2.
I couldn't find much info about Vivisence as a company. The official website is under construction. There's a facebook page but it doesn't have much on it. Select Vivisence bras are sold by Other Eden on eBay and Amazon.
I like Sophie very much. She is half-padded with an embroidered design of abstract flowers and circles on sheer mesh for the upper cups. The 3-hook back is soft stretch satin and the same covers the lower half of the cups. Straps are plain, wide, and a bit stretchy, but not overly so. The keyhole gore is embellished with a matching black bow, and there are bows ...at the junctions of the straps to the cups. In black the overall look is sophisticated. The materials used are soft and seem to be high quality.
The band is comfortable for my 33.5" underbust on the loosest hook. I could use the middle hooks, but it's not necessary. I might be able to wear a 75 band with an extender at first but the 80 is comfortable without being loose.
I would say the cups run a size large. I have several fitting bras in 34G/36FF with similar depth and width, but Sophie's cups are very tall as are those of the other 2 Polish brands I tried this go-round. This bra seems quite capable of pushing tissue up to fill the cup in the correct size. I like it enough to reorder a cup size down.
Vivisence is priced similarly to Gorsenia and Gorteks.. I'm impressed with the Sophie's quality so I'd recommend trying this brand if you're so inclined. If you are between band sizes go up for sure, and definitely size down in the cup from your usual UK size. Read more 186 more words
This is a nice bra with thin padding in the lower half of the cups and lace upper. Too bad it doesn't suit my shape (projected, narrow root). The wires are narrow, but there is not enough depth at the gore to accommodate my centre fullness, so the gore doesn't tack (in fact it's resting on breast tissue) and I get a lot of quadding. I think the gore may be a bit wide for me as well. This might be a good bra for someone less projected, more wide-set.
This is beautiful on you!
