This is an incredibly lightweight bra with shaping power. If you can tolerate a 1.1" wide gore and need "better than most" immediate projection, Halo Lace is a great option. Although the cup edge is closed, the lace is stretchy and accommodates size and shape variation. In summer, this would be a dramatic relief to my other, less-ventilated bras.
The flat lace is invisible under thin knits. The shape is rounded and lifted. The straps are peached, soft, and supportive.
Although this band stretched to just over 32", the immediate projection was so good, that the band was significantly long. If I try this again, I'll purchase a 32g. But, this gore width is a definite deterrent.
Not a good choice for close-set, center-full breasts unless you are comfortable with alterations. Otherwise, a fantastic lightweight, readily available bra with excellent immediate projection.
oh yes I've tried this and it was sooo comfortable! FYI in a 32F or G (can't remember), I did not find the gore crazy wide... it was so high that it ended above the part where my boobs sit close together in a bra anyway, but you might find the problem goes away in that size.
Thanks for sharing :-) I just found an inexpensive 32G on Ebay.
It does like it has great 'shaping power' for a lace bra. nice find
Wilderness1 it does and good quality nonstretch lace is actually more robust than regular fabric. I didn't buy one as I found it very minimizing and I wasn't looking for that, but it's definitely a firm-shaping type of cup!
Wilderness1 It feels so flimsy, but effortlessly lifts and rounds. I recommend trying it just to experience the fabric. Of all the bras I've tried, this is the lightest and most impressive fabric.

It has the following features: 1. Cushioned straps 2. 3x3 fasteners 3. Super soft cup and band lining 4. Invisible under thin knits 5. Wide straps 6. .75" elastic band for support
@klilly3 , you too, may appreciate this most comfortable wireless option. It has several of my most favorite design elements and provides support without a wire. The band is typical of Wacoal and runs an inch short. And, the straps are partially adjustable My straps are adjusted 75% of maximum. Low set/tall users may find the straps too short. But, we petite/high-set/short-waisted users can rejoice https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />
This size pulls too tight under my arm and the band feels short on my 28" underbust. Projected breasts may need to size up in the cup. I'm off to find an inexpensive 34DDD... https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
Very surprising shape and support! Now I'm curious to see how it would look under my T-shirts during the summer. Thanks for the review, Love4Pollinators !
The shape *should* improve in the proper size. And, if you have quite a bit of projection, you may need to size up. Super soft and lightweight: I'm in love ;-)
Purchasing: $48 on Amazon with Prime Free Shipping & Free Returns, some sizes/colors available through Prime Wardrobe, non-neutrals available
Band: Three-piece smooth knit with elastic at top of band. Wing support: None. FRONT close with just one hook. Fit: Length good. Wing height not quite tall enough, but best I've found in a racer-back. NO axillary skin spillage.
Gore: Comfortable, tacks, good spacing
Cups: Full coverage and seamless. Single layer of barely stretchy knit. Unpadded underwire. Gives a pleasantly round shape. Fit: Not quite wide enough to contain all breast tissue, but the best I've found in a racer-back. Smooth line on the top of the cup. Projection is on the shallow side of average -- ok but not awesome for my shape.
Straps: smooth elastic, partial adjust, V-shaped back
Fit under clothing: Smooth under tight tee. Not visible under v-neck. Oodles of wing shows under tank.
UK 34DD. A pretty good fit, although I once again have a tiny bit too much room in the apex, producing a slight pointiness.
Material: Feels like cotton! Everywhere but the top of the cup, that is; across the top of the cup is stretch lace. The embroidery is really pleasant-looking--it's a geometric pattern of circles and triangles, rather than the more common floral or lacy design. I like it. The whole bra feels smooth and sturdy.
Band: My other Wacoals are 36s (this one was on sale in 34). I can wear this 34, but I think I might use an extender at first just for ...comfort. There's a hidden side seam (hidden as in: the band is two layers of fabric, and only the inside layer has the seam). The two hooks are 3/4 inch apart, if you're considering an extender.
Cups: 2-part construction with one vertical top-to-bottom seam. I could use a little less projection at the apex of the cup and a little more projection in the outside of the cup, which is a frequent fit issue for me. The top edge has a very thin, very stretchy band of elastic.
Wires: Not my unicorn wires (apparently that's Freya Patsy Padded Halfcup), but better than many for me. They're a little wider on the outside than what I need, but not so much that it's uncomfortable--the extender might help. I once again get about 1 or 1.5 inches in the very bottom where the wire does not run along my imf. These wires are fairly stiff.
Gore: Tacks and doesn't dig. The band at the bottom of the gore panel has already decided to curl up some, after maybe an hour of wear. It's not doing this anywhere else, only on the gore. I don't really mind, but figured I'd note it.
Straps: I love the placement of these straps, which attach *just* outside of the very center of the cup's top edge. The straps themselves are fairly stretchy, and are fully adjustable. Read more 230 more words
My shape is soft, lower set, narrow and short rooted, even to FOB, with some centre fullness. I usually wear 30FF padded, so this is a sister size equivaalent to a 30F in volume. The band is obviously too long, but that can be tailored to a 29", which I like. The volume is a bit small for me, as I get some bubbling with a scoop and swoop, but because it's wide without underwires, and the band is looser, things settle in after a bit of wearing.
This is a super comfortable padded bra. The material is like a soft washed cotton, and it just feels amazing on the skin. No rubbing, chaffing, cutting, or anything else. I've been after an unwired bra for a while, and I think I'll get a lot of wear out of this one because it's a great 'lounging' / 'errand' bra. The shape it creates is nice and round, and I think with a band alteration, it will also offer nice support.
Even though Nordstrom didn't have a 30F or even 32E for me to try on, it turns out the 34DD on the tightest hooks fits well. The shape is great for a wireless bra. The Wacoal How Perfect bra provides less lift than my Ewa Michalak 3D underwired bras, of course, but I'm quite happy with the Wacoal's profile, which is rounded. It's fuller and more rounded below the nipple and less cakes-on-a-plate above the nipple than I get from my underwired bras. By comparison, my Natori Yogi wireless moulded bra's shape is uninspiring from the side, less rounded and less perky.
From the front, the How Perfect kind ...of makes the bust look fuller, but not every bra has to make my upper body look slimmer. The cloud-like softness of the cups and the smoothness of the band make up for the maximizing shape. The texture of the entire bra is soft and comforting.
I saw a 30DDD in this bra in the navy color at Nordstrom Rack a couple days ago. The band was so tight, I couldn't fasten it. I'm going to exchange this 34DD for a 32DDD from Love4Pollinators. I expect the 32 band will fit like a 30 band in most other bras. Read more 100 more words
This is a good supportive bra with wider side goring so you don't get as much "back fat" spilling over. Does a good job of supporting my boobs and making them look perkier than they are. Points boobs up and forward but not as much up and forward as a Freya plunge bra. But if you have really full breasts the tops of the cups are going to dig into your boobs. My breasts are a little less firm and less full than they used to be (I'm 48) so this bra fits. Would have given my younger boobs a quadraboob. Also I've worn it twice and the band is really stretching out. Makes me think I should have gotten a 32DDD instead of 34DD. Would give it an 8 out of 10 for comfort. Back strap seems a little itchy after wearing for a few hours. Cups very comfortable.
I love this bra! I just started down the correctly-fitted bra path, and this has so far been my best fit. It really lifts and shapes my soft, pendulous girls, and I find the pointed shape extremely flattering for my petite-but-fluffy frame. I do not get any rubbing or cutting in the front underarm area, a problem I've been having with most bras in my cup size, so I'd say this bra is perfect for busty girls with narrow shoulders. I did have to get a 2-cup smaller size than my usual, even for this brand (I have 2 other Wacoals in 34G!). The lace is not scratchy for me.
This bra was recommended online when I typed in some measurements and issues. There is no support for forward-projection breasts. The wrong band size is my fault as I did try it on and it seemed OK but at home I realized it's a bit too tight. The lack of support causes my breasts to droop and the bottom of the gore to dig in badly. Straps are much too wide for someone with narrow, sloping shoulders. I can't complain about having too much space at the top because I am being forced to move away from balconettes (strap issue, again).
Wings are too high for a petite, and the wires don't fill the channel, which makes the top part flop over and rub my arms.
Making do. Can't wear European balcony bras now. This one has a high arched gore which so far is pretty nice. Wings are high and dig in a bit.. A little tighter--fits like a Fantasie 32 band. Will update this after I've worn the bra a while. Update 1: Slightly bent the wires to follow my body and the wires are better. Cups are like slings for boobs, providing some shape and containment more than real support like a Fantasie.
After wearing a short time, the bra sags forward, causing the bottom of the gore to dig hard into my sternum which is painful. I also feel like I'm drooping.
Purchasing: * $60 on Amazon with free Prime shipping & returns or Amazon Wardrobe. * Available in neutrals plus many fun colors.
Band: * Two layers of stretch mesh. * Elastic at top of band. * Wing support: soft boning * Continuous band - wires lower than wings. * Back close with 3 columns of hooks.
Straps: * smooth, non-stretch satin * soft (don’t stand up on their own) * full adjust * leotard back * CENTER PULL
Cups: * 2-seam (3-piece) half cup * unpadded, flexible underwire * All pieces constructed of non-stretch mesh with a partial overlay of non-stretch lace. * Soft cups (no molding or padding).
Fit
About me: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts * average projection * wide-set (3 fingers ...width of space between breasts) * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line) * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full) * short root height, average vertical placement * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away) * conical shape (but will squish to round) * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame * front (anterior) rib flares
Band: * length: way too big * wings: too short, boobs escape * Breast is pushing wire away from body. * no axillary skin spillage
Gore: Comfortable, tacks, good spacing, height fine. High, but comfortable.
Cup: * Way too big. Can fit my fist into the upper cup. * Wires very, very narrow. * Top of cup wrinkles. * Bottom of cup wrinkles. * Doesn’t cut into tail of Spence.
Straps: * not too far apart * adjust short enough
Assessment and Plan: * Don’t mind the pointy shape, but wires are way too narrow and band too big. Trying other sizes (32DD, 32DDD, and 34D) haven’t helped. * Need a 30-band, which is not made. Even then, probably too projected. Read more 196 more words
Lol I don't know what I was thinking ordering this but the cups are way, way too small. Hard to say much else since it didn't come close to fitting me, but I hope get a hold of one in my size to review.
Fits like Freya 32G (USA). Good for high-impact sports. The zipper opened from the bottom up on me a couple times (didn't unzip, just split open.) Luckily this happened while putting on, not randomly during the day.
The short of it...I LOVE this bra!...except...the stretch mesh cups don't give very good lift.
The Awesome: Beautifully embroidered stretch mesh cups (conforms to your shape), sheer & sexy (a great bedroom bra), inner side sling (keeps things front & center), the top 1 inch of the gore is seperate (will easily overlap between close-set breasts), pleated straps (keep from shifting), even tension on the double layer band (no back fat issues here). Cups are fairly closed. Elastic top edge will conform to your shape, (unless you are significantly full on top).
The Average: The embroidery shows only a little under a thin shirt. The elastic edge does ...not show. The vertical dart to shape the mesh does not go to the top edge of the cup. Cups are true to size.
The Not So Good: The cups are so stretchy they don't provide much lift (does not look the best under clothes). The band runs a full size smaller than expected (I had previously tried the 32DDD, which fit well in the cups but was much too tight in the band).
The Unique: With correct positioning in the cups, this bra can either accentuate nipple exposure (placed between embroidery), or minimize their appearance (by placing behind the embroidery). Wow!
The Edit: After owning this less than one month and only wearing it occasionally, it has already started to create a hole in the mesh, just below the front strap. So far, it has only happened on one side, (which happens to be my larger side). But now I am less than impressed with it's durability. Debating whether to fix it or return it. Asymmetric. I was instantly smitten. Unique, colorful, and super soft, microfiber cup lining!
This is one size too small, but it wasn't available in 34DDD. I was smitten by the deep brown cup and thoughtfully placed multi-color, shimmering, floral embroidery. It is visually stunning because the embroidery is asymmetric. I thoroughly appreciate this unique design. I'd like to see more like it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
Sigh. With two alterations in the larger size, I could make this work. Wacoal is consistent in their sizes, dimensions, quality, and patterns. And, consistently, they rarely fit close-set, center-full breasts without alterations.. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> I'm finally convinced.
Like the unlined Serenity bra, this bra is fantastic for those who appreciate "less" bra. The straps and band are more narrow than my favorite, Wacoal Basic Beauty (also too shallow near the gore).
I'll watch with envy the person/s who can wear this gorgeous bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
This is a lovely bra with gorgeous, asymmetric embroidery; multi-colored, shimmering thread. I had planned to alter this to fit, but I can't alter this enough to make it fit my center-full, close-set, immediately projected breasts. Sigh.
It is very comfortable and will appeal to those who like "less bra." The straps and band are more diminutive than my favorite Wacoal, Basic Beauty. Like almost every Wacoal I've tried, there is not enough center projection. But, if you don't require space near the gore and you have shallow-average projection, this is a lovely pale bra.
Projected, slightly narrow, omega shaped, short roots, center full, close set breasts...
Describe the bra with one word: minimalistic. Simple, sleek, soft, supportive are appropriate, too.
This is another bra for which I owe double thanks to learningaboutbras. Not only did she find this bra and recommend it, but also she exchanged her 34DD for my, previously owned, 32DDD. Thank you. Thank you, @learningaboutbras.!! Although my underbust measures 28", this 34DD is both supportive and comfortable. The additional band length prevents the cup collapse I experienced in the 32DDD. Size up in the band.
When I need to feel more supported and less like I'm floating on a ...cloud, this is the bra I wear. In a stressful community meeting, this bra didn't move. Not once did I think about this bra. No escapees. No adjusting. No straps falling down.
The fabric has a nap which first caused me alarm. However, after wearing it, I prefer this fabric because it gently holds fabric in place. Once positioned, it acts almost like lingerie tape. Helpful.
This bra and Bali 3488 are staples in my brarobe. Again, thank you learningaboutbras!!
EDIT: The shape under a fitted t-shirt, for me, is perfectly round. I'm thrilled this shape can be accomplished without wires https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> Read more 115 more words
