Found this on sale on a Polish site and jumped on it - Wiesmann has quite a high price point usually. Unfortunately it's slightly too projected and closed on top for me, which makes the shape slightly too pointy for my taste. This is going to be resold or returned. It's unfortunate because I really like the quality and the looks https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Fit: Technically slightly wide for me, but I didn't experience any fit issues from it, there was no east-west happening. I would say it is slightly closed on top and wouldn't work for a full on top shape, but it's not ...very closed. Nicely firm and comfortable band. I found the depth of the cup very difficult to measure and it doesn't seem representative of the true depth - I found it very projected, to the point of not being able to quite fill the apex, which has never happened to me before. For reference, my best fits are Cleo Hettie/Kayla, unlined Gorsenia, Ewa Michalak CHP/HP - bras that are considered quite projected. At the same time it also has acceptable depth at the bottom of the cup. I wouldn't say it runs big, just projected, and is too projected for my breasts, leading to a slightly pointier shape than I'd like. This would probably not be an issue with the right shape match.
Construction: Materials are clearly high quality and chosen both for looks and comfort. Three part cup construction with straps connecting to the bottom section, providing great uplift. Straps are fully adjustable, with slight picot trim to prevent slip. Average width for the size, somewhat but not very stretchy. Underwires are slightly soft but don't distort with normal wear. Cups are made of sheer mesh, not stretchy. The top edge is softly elasticated. The bottom section has a second layer for more strength. Center gore and sides to the side boning also use the same mesh and are backed with a stronger sheer mesh-y fabric than the cups. Side boning is quite soft, and is also easily removable as the channel is closed with separate seams. Hook and eye closure is backed with a silky stretch fabric, and the elastics used along the edge of the band are soft as well. The side wing is quite low for the size, cup height a little taller than average. The gore is less high than average. Three hook closure for added support and stability.
Appearance: The mesh cups feature slightly stylized large floral embroidery. It is quite detailed and delicate despite stylization. The top section is rather sheer, the bottom section less, but still clearly on the sheer side. The mesh is cut along the edges of the embroidery, leaving a pattern matched lacy edge along the top of the cup, and along the middle of the bottom of the cups and gore - very nice attention to detail. The center gore has a four-pointed star decoration, embellished with rhinestones. There are no decorations where the straps connect. The straps are semi-matte, quite minimalist, with a small picot edge. The band is a semi-matte stretch fabric similar to what's usually used in bands, but softer. All hardware is black. I saw this bra on eBay and figured I'd take a chance on a new-to-me Polish brand. My mistake. This bra is really pretty, I like the center charm especially, but does not work for me at ALL. The band is very short—barely stretches to 32, and that's pushing it. The cups cut in on me, not at all FOT-friendly, plus there is a lot of extra space at the apex that isn't balanced out at the top and bottom of the cup. I'm sure this would probably work for someone, but that someone isn't me. I had thought to sell it, but there's a manufacturing defect along the in-cup seam on the left cup where the stitching didn't catch both parts of the mesh, so there's a centimeter gap. I'll be returning it to the seller.
The band on this is a bit loose, and I'm wearing it on the second hook. Thus it is somewhere between a 34G and a 36FF in size. It gives me a pointier shape than I'm comfortable with although not nearly as intense as the Wiesmann Irina. The bra is a bright, light green with beige and grey embroidery. The gore doesn't tack on me, presumably because the wires are soft, as the gore is quite narrow.
I had to hook the bra on the innermost hook, so I would say it fits like a 36FF rather than a 34G. The gore does not tack on me, despite being very narrow, which makes me expect that the bra has softer wires, as I always have this issue when the wires aren't firm. The bra has pretty green embroidery over bright blue. It gives me a pointier shape than I like and would probably be suitable for someone who likes a vintage look. I have honestly never seen this shape with an unlined bra before.
Very pretty bra, but nowhere near enough projection at the gore for me. Seems like the width and height are good. Band is comfy, bottom of the cup is good for projection.
I've ordered another one of these a cup size up.
Me: short & narrow roots, center full, close set, pendulous, petite, short waisted, low set, fairly even fullness, narrow shoulders, soft
Fits fairly well, however, need more projection and probably a larger cup size of I'm honest. Like most bras I have, rides down through the day. Smooth under clothes for a cut and sew bra.
Very close, but not a perfect fit.
Me: short & narrow roots, center full, close set, pendulous, petite, short waisted, low set, fairly even fullness, narrow shoulders, soft
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
Very like Cleo Lucy and Lepel Rita. The B-224 cut is common to most of their unpadded balconettes.
Nowhere near enough immediate projection, cups a little too wide, straps set a little too wide - but insubstantial enough not to dig.
Very narrow, but scalloped and fully adjustable straps. Fairly narrow centre gore. Band is close to Curvy Kate and Panache, but a ...touch looser. Cups are about average sized, but more traditional projection at appex shape than Polish standards. Very very soft fabrics - especially the hook and eye closure piece. Two layer soft mesh bottom cups and one layer top cups - no stretch. Light elastic lining upper edge of cup. Light embroidery on cups doesn't show through most things. Good side boning and three hooks. Wires are fairly firm. Allows for some centre projection. Read more 82 more words
I usually wear 28FF or 28F in other brands (Curvy Kate, Panache, Cleo, Freya,...) so deciding my size was not easy. But I saw this blog post http://www.venusianglow.com/search?q=wiesmann and got some information there.
It says in the tags that the size is G cup, then the band sizes are separately (EU 65, UK30, etc). But this most definitely is a EU G-cup, not a UK one!!! Sizing goes in amazon.co.uk where I ordered the bra, like this: 65D, 65E, 65F, 65G. So there are no double letters.
The band feels okay for me now. I think I could get away with it for a while, but would ...probably have to alter it in some point. 60/28 bands are not available, that´s why I ordered 65/30.
The bra has removable straps!! I like that. There is no silicone ribbon to hold the bra up so strapless wouldn´t be an option, but you could wear it as a halter neck or racer back. Straps adjust all the way. They are positioned very far in the armpits, just like in EM bras, so beware.
Unfortunately this bra does not fit me. I get wrinkles on bottom of cups, especially near the armpit area. I think it is because the wires are a tad too wide or just the wrong shape for me. I tend to need normal / wide wires, and it usually is not a problem if they are a little too wide. But this bra has the longest wires I have ever seen in my size range, they are 28 cm long! I think they might be a little too U-shaped for me... They come quite high both in the center and under armpits. They don´t poke me and are very comfortable though. The separation between boobs is quite wide, I measured 3cm between cups.
The cups have very round shape which I love! I´m not sure if I should try one cup smaller, 65F. If it had narrower wires it might work, but then again, the U-shape could be just as bad. And I might get quadboob. I think I won´t try because shipping of this bra took forever, 3 weeks that is. I live in EU and it was sent from UK as a registered letter, so I don´t get it! They dispatched it very quickly after I ordered, so why does it take so long to get here?!?
I ordered matching brief in L / UK12. The sizing is odd, because usually European M is concidered UK12. Anyway, the brief was tight on me. I would need it in 1 size bigger although I usually wear Eu M / UK12.
I´m sorry I don´t have photos, but I have no camera right now! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I am so confused by this bra. I thought Polish bras were much narrower and deeper in the cups than UK bras? This sheer navy blue lace half cup fits great. Are my roots not as wide as I thought? Are my boobs deeper than I believed? Looking at the measurements, I'm not sure what to think.
The 65G is roughly equivalent to a UK 30F. Since I start with 30F when trying on bras, that's what I ordered. This bra is made of sheer lace mesh cups, embroidered, with a crystal decoration at the center. I also got the matching panties, which has the same embroidered lace mesh ...at the front sides. I find the materials really pretty and sexy, though I know some people are tired of lace and embroidery in lingerie.
The straps are convertible, which I didn't realize when I bought it. Unlike my Ewa Michalak Pl Onyx's straps, the Skarlet's are VERY tightly anchored in back. I couldn't, in fact, remove them. The straps do detach in the front without too much effort. I think the combination of tight back connections and reasonably firm connections in front are better than the Onyx's. The connection points in the Onyx are so loose that the straps pop off when I wear it cross-back style, at least when I take off my jacket or lean sideways to get something out of my car's glove box. I no longer wear the Onyx cross-back style, which unfortunately was what I needed.
The downside for me with this bra is that, like 95% of the bras that fit my 30F boobs, the bra covers too much of my chest. I am extremely petite except for my shoulders and bust. I don't mind having some bras that are full coverage on me, even if they're supposed to be less than full coverage, but I do want some skimpy bras, too. Half cup bras are supposed to be low coverage and barely cover the nipple/aerola region. I know my nipples and aerolas are small, but this half cup seems like it could cover my aerolas if they were three times as big. Read more 248 more words
