I wanted something affordable and this caught my attention on Amazon for $17. It's remarkably well made for the price. The lace is soft and stretchy. It's very pretty with extra ribbon through the center of the gore. The straps are wide and stretchy but a bit scratchy (I suspect a good wash would take care of that). I actually really loved this until I put it on, haha. The cup size is too small and I actually had some quadding - which is rare for me! I'm very FoB, needing tons of projection at the wire. The stretchiness of the cup provided the projection nicely. I'm sensitive ...to anything giving too much of an east-west appearance because I have a lot of outer fullness. This makes me look waaaaaay wide through the chest. Another drawback is how it looks under clothes. The lace pattern shows through as well as the center horizontal seam of the cup. I looked like I had highway markings traveling across my wide boobs. I considered exchanging for a larger size but I suspect I will look even wider and I don't like anything being pushed into my armpits. I think if you have more center fullness, this would be a better fit. With the stretchy cups, it is also very forgiving of shape. Read more 111 more words
It is confusing! It claims to be a G cup for both US and UK.
Wingslove is located in Yanbu, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. (China) Their sizing is 32 to 42 band in cups B,C, DD (E), DDD (F), and G. This would make them closer to US rather than UK sizing as there are no double letters between DD and G, if that helps.
My shape: slightly wide, slightly tall roots with splayed shape, evenly full top and bottom, slightly center-full. close-set at the top. I need a fair amount of projection at the wire.My best fitting sizes are 34G/36FF in Panache.
This bra goes for 22 USD on Amazon so I thought it was worth a try. The size range is 34B-48G (US sizing). It seems like it's decent quality. The outer parts of the cups are double layered and provide some support, just not enough for me. It felt good on, but I noticed in the photos that the cups collapsed at the bottom. My shape looked only ...slightly more uplifted than without a bra.
The band felt very firm at first. The back has some stretch but the front has very little. This is a US sized bra. The G cup (equivalent to UKF) fit pretty well. It expected slightly more top fullness than I have naturally at this point in my life. Had the bottom been firmer I think it would have pushed up the tissue and I would have filled the tops of the cups fully.
The mesh insert at the top center hugged my chest with no gaping. It's hardly a high-impact bra, and to be fair the tag says it's medium-impact even though Amazon says otherwise. It did dampen the bounce somewhat and the high neckline would make it good for yoga and other activities where you don't want to worry about falling out of the top of your bra.
The straps are cut away just enough at the armpits to allow for a full range of motion yet still contain everything. Just for fun I tried this on over my 34FF - Panache Black » Quinn Balconnet Bra (9241). The shape and support were great but the straps of my Quinn cut into my arms just a little too much to be comfortable working out. If I had something with center-pull straps it would probably work under this.
All in all I think this is a well-designed bra for lower impact activities. If your breasts are more self-supporting or if you have a comfortable underwire regular bra to wear under it this one might work well for you. Read more 274 more words
Several brands on Amazon currently make a knockoff of the Timpa Duet bra, which I haven't tried since it doesn't come in my size. Wingslove is one of the makers that produces this in 28 and 30 band sizes, so I decided to try the 30DD as the cup sizes don't go up beyond DD. Surprisingly, this bra truly does feel more supportive than it looks, however it ended up being too small in the cup as the cups run one size small.
The band feels pretty TTS for a 30, and even though the wings are short and there is only 1 hook at the back, ...it feels decently supportive. The wings are made with a pretty hefty stretch jersey with 18% spandex, so they are firm and not flimsy. The cups are geometric lace and also have a decent amount of spandex for support. However, they are cut both short and shallow, which caused me two different problems. On the larger side, which measures a full 28E/30DD, the cup is so small it literally squishes me in half and barely covers the nipple. On the smaller side, I am better contained, but the shape of the cup totally flattens me out without providing any lift. I think these cups need to be cut with more room at the fullest part of the cup, otherwise these effectively function as minimizers . . . very strange considering they are marketed to small cup sizes!
The only other thing that really bothers me about this bra is that the adjustors are at the front, which makes the bra look like it's on backwards. It always drives me crazy whenever I see clothing constructed like this. Unfortunately, the fit and styling just didn't work for me. Read more 194 more words
This bra is super comfortable. I love the thick padded straps and wireless design. It has 4 columns off 2 row hooks, I wear it on the second to last column (the heather green), the measurements here are for the black since it's the tighest. The only negative is that the plastic hardware is so squeaky it is a little embarrassing. Gives a slightly pointy shape from the soft, light weight molded foam cups. I decided that I love this bra the most out of all my collection so I went ahead and bought 2 more. Now I have the heather green, heather red, and the black.
Very short waisted, omega shape, immediately projected, slightly narrow, center full, and close-set breasts....
Recently, my breasts grew and not one of my sports bras was comfortable for more than five minutes. So, I needed to search for a replacement.
If not for the shallow outer cup, I would happily add this comfortable bra to my stash. It is super comfortable. The materials are soft, the seams flat and non-chafing, the straps padded, and the cup tall enough to provide modesty. Unlike the Shock Absorber I simultaneously purchased, my roots are fully contained in this Wingslove bra. The taller cup dramatically reduced bouncing. After wearing the Wingslove, I know the Shock Absorber is one size small.
Although I'm not convinced a larger size will remedy the shallow outer cup issue, I will try. This is very comfortable and supportive enough for my workouts. If you have breast characteristics similar to my own, you may be pleased with this bra, too.
I'm guessing you were clued in by the high wings, since those seem to be popular in at least Japanese and Chinese bras? (I haven't looked at bras from any other East Asian country.)
Yes the fuller coverage in general and then the brand name, something about it struck me as Chinese. I've too only looked at CN and JP too.
My usual size is a 30DDD but that wasn't available so I sister-sized. I'm still figuring out my shape and I don't think I'm very suited to t-shirt bras but I still wanted to try. I believe I'm mostly FOB and center-full, fairly close-set with indenting/deflation near tail of spence, and pretty narrow-rooted with some height and some projection.
[Disclaimer - I have only tried it on]
PROS: - Pretty detail in the center - Band is comfortable
CONS: - Gore doesn't tack - Straps itch my tails of spence - Somehow both creates quad-boobing and gapping in the center - Push-up padding creates a bump - Gapping in the top
This was just incredibly uncomfortable for me due to the itchiness of the straps. I had to take it off after about 15 minutes.
This is my first time wearing a bra with actual cups and underwire, but I hope this review is still helpful. I'd say it runs small in the band and one cup size small. I'm normally a 26D, and the band feels snug. There's some wrinkling at the bottom of the cup as I believe I have immediate projection. The wires are good for my average to wide roots.
Took a chance on this bra as it was affordable and pretty, didn't notice that the label/sizing was off until I uploaded it here. The fabric and feel are very soft, the band gives good comfort and the wires feel sturdy. The straps are wide and comfortable and three hooks in the back is great for me. The cups are too small and/or too shallow for me, I quad out of them.
The band is quite snug, as it should be for a strapless. Feels very secure: Silicone strips on top & bottom of band as well as top of cups; a set of boning under the arms and one set in the back. It took a little fidgeting to get them to lay flat. The band is the same length top and bottom, so it's best suited for a straight torso, not V shaped. The cups are moderately stiff, molded cups; closed at the top; thin padding for modesty and control, but not thick enough to add volume. Wide wires (6.25"); shallow (9") but still more ...projected than most strapless I've come across. Still, it gives a minimized profile. The gore is narrow (.75"), but on me it's too tall and sits on breast tissue; it won't lay flat unless I force it, which makes the quadding a LOT worse. Clearly, the support is coming from the bottom band and not so much from the gore, especially the top. The straps have firm stretch for multi-way options. But of course the loops for attaching in the front are way out towards my armpits.
It's wearable, but far from ideal for me. I may keep it around until I find another strapless I like better. It's the closed cups and the tall gore which are most bothersome to me; not to mention the back fat I get (but that's probably because the cups aren't deep enough to pull it all in).
This bra accommodates my tissue, but is simply too tall for me. If you aren't short-waisted, this may work well for you. For details about the construction and fit, read here: http://bra.pe/XX8A/
The smaller size fits better when my breasts are smaller. Perhaps I'll just walk when my breasts are larger because finding a sports bra that fits my very short-waisted stature is requiring more time than I'm willing to give.
Is it a US G cup? That so confuses me...
