This bra is extremely comfortable. It's a fairly tight 32 band, which means that I, with my size 30 back, can wear it with proper support on the tightest hooks. The cups seem to be true to size.
It contains no underwire, and instead employs patented plastic "hands" that lift and hold the breasts. The band sits on the mid to upper ribs, a great deal lower than that of a more conventional bra, and is lined with silicone that keeps the bra from slipping. There is no center gore in the traditional sense, and what it does have does not sit on the sternum, but it's not meant ...to. It is a highly effective, highly nonstandard fit. It is also shockingly comfortable once you get used to it, more so than some of the wired bras that I have bought and tried.
The cups provide support chiefly at the sides. There is no coverage on the inner sides of the breasts. While I'm sure that this design allows the bra to work well for plunging necklines, I don't wear many of those.
The bra offers a shape that I have not experienced before. The overall effect is amplifying, pushing the breasts a bit together and projecting them outward. This design gives great cleavage, but compared to the 9341, it's a great deal more compact and less dramatic. Though I think it actually predates the Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless Bra (9341), this design and cut is much better for me. The cups are lower cut, especially in the armpit, and make the bra more wearable on a smaller frame like my own. It also doesn't amplify my assets so much that I gain a dress size. Though this does mean that the cleavage provided is slightly less intense, I'm fine with trading that for this more comfortable, wearable alternative.
This is a good bra, and a great strapless. It does the job I want it to do, it is comfortable, and I do not need to adjust it. Read more 227 more words
I have had this bra for a few months now, and have struggled with reviewing it.
The bra contains no underwire, and instead employs patented plastic "hands" that lift and hold the breasts. The band sits on the mid to upper ribs, a great deal lower than that of a more conventional bra, and is lined with silicone that keeps the bra from slipping. There is no center gore in the traditional sense, and what it does have does not sit on the sternum, but it's not meant to. It is a highly effective, highly nonstandard fit. It is also shockingly comfortable once you get used to it, more ...so than some of the wired bras that I have bought and tried. I could have done with a 30G, since I now wear the bra on the tightest setting and it has stretched. Even so, the bra still works perfectly.
The cups provide support chiefly at the sides, which come up quite high on my small frame. There is no coverage on the inner sides of the breasts. While I'm sure that this design allows the bra to work well for plunging necklines, I don't wear many of those. The high sides sometimes show if sleeveless clothing sloughs past the very top of my armpits.
The bra offers a shape that I have not experienced before. The overall effect is amplifying, pushing the breasts a bit together and projecting them outward. This can be a problem for those with larger breasts, especially if you factor in a small back size. Consider a strapless dress. My dress size, con-breasts, is a 6. With a different, normal bra, it may come to an 8. This bra, however, pushes that size even further, to a 10 or 12, to accommodate my amplified cleavage properly.
This is a good bra. It does the job I want it to do, it is comfortable, and I do not need to adjust it. It has even held up after going through the washing machine. I would buy it again, and recommend it, but would also like any prospective buyer to have all the facts. Read more 245 more words
I am very impressed with this bra. The construction is interesting: instead of wires it has a moulded plastic (?) support at the bottom and sides of the cup, which provides extra support and a more flattering shape than other strapless bras I've tried. The cups are on the generous side, which is good for me as I usually need a larger cup size than this. Even so, my larger breast is barely contained. I find this bra comfortable enough for everyday wear, and unlike other strapless bras I've owned it stays in place all day and doesn't need constant adjusting!
I rolled the dice on this bra exclusively because it was on super-sale, but unfortunately it wasn't a match. What I didn't realize from the stock photos is that this bra is incredibly shallow at the wire, so if you have more immediate projection you can get pushed right out the top because there just isn't room at the bottom. It's a molded cup with a soft lining and is comfortable enough aside from the fit issues. The quality is fine but not amazing; there are a number of loose threads and only minimal attachment between the lace and the cups, but the lace is pretty and it's a fairly attractive bra all things considered.
SUCCESS! I previously ordered this on a 34FF because of other reviews that said the band ran tight. However, I find it true to size, maybe even a little stretchy. (As of this morning, when I bought the 32G, both the bra and I measure exactly 32".)
All the same comments about look and construction from my 34FF review apply. (See http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dllii/) It still cuts a bit at the armpits (more a cosmetic issue than a comfort one), and I have a sneaking suspicion the band will stretch out quickly. Otherwise, I'm calling this a fit! Narrow girls, fear not!
Now if only Wonderbra wouldn't make it so hard to buy for US customers. I swear, I feel like a smuggler.
In my neverending quest for a strapless bra, I've been dabbling with various sizes in this model.
The 32G cup has enough depth for me that it is not being pushed out by my boobs creating a gap between the bra and my chest wall. The band, however, is too big, so the gap still appears https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I actually prefer the shape of this bra for my boobs over the Deco strapless because the latter makes my boobs point a bit east-west as if they hate each other. I will get the band taken in professionally and hopefully this bra will work under strapless dresses. If it doesn't work out, I guess I'm going commando under my BM dress next month. Either that or tape. Ouch.
I've tried this bra in 30G and found it to be too small in the cup. Since this bra only goes up to a G cup, I sized up to a 32G. The band is now way too big (27 unstretched, which is bigger than my underbust measurement).
Due to the construction of the bra, I imagine it would work well if it was tight enough. The front of the bra is supported by a stiff piece that contours around where your IFM would be and upwards towards the apex of the cup. I'm assuming this is what makes the bra so stable. I will need to take it in a few inches and hopefully I will get more support from this bra. As it is now, when I am exhaled, the bra slips down to my natural waist and sits there doing absolutely nothing for my boobs. I've had to fully inhale in some pics to get it to stay up.
Quality construction (cool use of a gel-like substance to keep the band in place), but I'm sized out of their range. If the center gore laid flat against your sternum, you wouldn't have cleavage--not a bad shape, per se, but just not the boost you'd get in a Cleo balconette or Masquerade Rhea (duh, it's a strapless and it's not a half cup).
Comfortable fabric, strong band, options for strap placement--if you're in the size range, it's worth a go.
very confused because this claims to be a uk 32g and i'm a uk 32f. labelling aside fits nicely, band is almost too tight (when they say 32 they mean 32), and gives wonderful cleavage & uplift. slight pointy look to boobs, but hardly noticeable
