likesFrom my experience the cups of the Melody Fullcup are narrower than the cups of the Tango II Balconette.
I would say that when worn the wires of the Melody fullcup are as wide as the wires of the Tango in 40 H, one cupsize down.
The difference might be because wires bend under stress from the band, in a bra in 40 HH that can make a difference in wire width that is up to an inch.
I do not agree that the cups of the Melody are deeper. I have found them to be shallower than the cups of the Tango. The shape the Tango gives is more forward, the Melody shapes the breasts wider and less forward. Thus I am missing space in the front where I need it, another reason why I went up to 40 HH in the Melody FC. To be fair, the band pulling the cup wider might play into this though.
I also found the cups of the Melody Fullcup to be smaller than the cups of the Tango. The cups of the Tango II Balc. in 40 HH are generally too big for me, I can only fill out the cups right before my period and even then there are a bit loose. The cups of the Melody Fullcup are ok even when my breasts aren't swollen. The lace on the upper part of the cup is a bit loose, but that is all.
I think it has to do with the amount of fabric used in the cup. The Tango II uses more fabric and the the wire comes up higher on the chest. On the Melody the center gore is 11.5 cms high, on the Tango the center gore is 14 cms. That makes a significant difference in the amount of coverage provided by the cups and thus in cupvolume.
Combining wire width, cup depth and cupvolume it is clear why I would recommend trying the Melody Fullcup one cupsize up from your size in the Panache Tango II Balc.
