I looooooove my Bronte like no bra I have ever had. It boosts me up and supports my boobs in all the right ways, is an adorable longline, a gorgeous orange satin, and gorgeous under swooping necklines (or topless around the house! :P) The Veronique is hands down one of the prettiest bras I have ever owned, but the fit is not nearly as straightforward, probably because the band is narrower.
They are both open about the same amount on top and offer the same amount of coverage. Both have similar strap placement (i.e., a little farther out than I'd prefer).
The band measurements might be similar, but the Bronte has a lot more of everything, like boning and just the sheer amount of fabric surface area, to distribute tension and weight; plus, longline bands have to accommodate waists as well as ribcages, and 6 hooks will always keep everything in place. Without the boning and the surface area, the Veronique's band is just too big. This makes the cups sit awkwardly, tilted a bit forward and definitely likely to mosey on down below the inframammary fold as I wear it.
The structure of the longline style may also disguise some uneven band tension that the Veronique could not, but then again, it is much easier to cross-hook the Veronique to fix this issue.
I feel like the stiffness of the fabric in the Veronique may have something to do with the awkward cup fit as well. The Bronte's satin is lovely and supple, but the cups have no inner lining over the foam, making them more malleable. The Veronique definitely does not lack for cup support: foam cup, inner lining, stiff outer fabric, and stiffer lace make for a surprisingly structured non-molded cup.
