likesI think the summary is very wrong - it says that Charlotte has a bigger band which is absolutely not true. The Charlotte fits tighter and with less stretch, it's more rigid that the very stretchy Claudettes. Charlotte is also thicker, firmer material which adds to the feeling of it fitting much tighter than the lightweight Claudettes.
The straps of Claudette are also stretchier than Charlotte.
So onto the cups. One thing I have noticed over the 4 Dessous I own is that from earlier to later seasons the cups get larger - so my 30E navy/lime is pretty much too small for me. It has much shorter wires than more recent seasons (parma violet/concrete and peacock/concrete) and shorter wires than Charlotte. Charlotte has taller and slightly deeper cups than Dessous, with more of a pointed apex than the shallow friendly Dessous. Dessous has wider wires than Charlotte in the later styles (pv/c and p/c) and comparably wide wires in earlier styles (navy/lime). Dessous is less accommodating for full on top whereas Charlotte can accommodate this better due to being more open on top.Updated on Mar 20, 2015
