I loved the 38FF I wore all year, but realized recently that I'd lost 5 lbs....but went UP a cup size? I needed a 36GG, which is a perfect fit. Sadly, it's also a whole different bra. I'd read reviews on blogs that note Freya really changes from a G to a GG.
What changes? Everything. Much higher gore, which tacks well. Cup is much fuller cut too. I don't mind these changes so much. But I do mind those horrid little plastic stays in the sides - & unlike most they are anchored to the bottom of the band with stitches, so I have to saw back & ... forth with a seam-ripper to get them out. Still, I can do that. What really is unfortunate is the fabric is totally different. It's what is referred to as 'laminated'. So on the outside it is the silky satin of the up-to-G-cup version...but the inside is a stiff, rough, plasticky coated lining bonded to the silky fabric, I.e., not a separate lining you can remove. Why they put that on the inside of the cup, rather than outside is beyond me. The only style I've come across wiout this is Jolie, which is discontinued, so I've bought up a few on eBay.
