As I said with the Fantasie Helena, I'm starting to think that Fantasie bras are a whole cup size bigger than Panache/Cleo/Freya and pretty much everyone else. I bought about 10-15 bras in a big haul from Figleaves this month - while Figleaves had a 20% off sale - all were size 30GG including this one.
The Fantastie Elodie is another style that I've been meaning to try for years: it is always rated 4 or 5 stars on Figleaves and Fantastie keep making new colourways season after season. It must be a successful style for them. However, due to its price - it's expensive enough - I never ... got around to trying it.
This didn't seem quite as generous as Fantasie's Helena but I still think it's too big on me. The cup isn't noticeably wrinkled at the top of the cup, but I'm not really filling the bottom and sides out completely either. My nipple is a bit too low and not at the cup seam.
Again I feel quite un-sexy with this on. It's a true full cup bra and the upper edges of the cup are completely against my sternum enclosing all my breast tissue completely. I felt restrained in this bra - the back band, the straps, the full cups everything combined to make me feel strapped in.
The straps are chunky and it's too much coverage for me. The colour combination should have been a winner: cobalt blue with black lace, but I didn't adore the style in person.
The main reason I wont be keeping this one is the shape: from the side it's way too pointed!
I wonder if the 30G would have been better. Probably. it wouldn't have been quite so bad.
Like the Helena I can't recommend this style at this price point. If you think all your bras have straps that are too narrow, try Fantastie, but otherwise, steer clear!
