I loved Kali in 30D but recently found that my cup size is getting a bit larger, so I decided to try this in a 28E. Unfortunately, this isn't quite the right size for me, and my 30D still fits much better.
First, my original Kali in 30D came with a very small band, at 22.4", whereas this one only measured 22.0", so there wasn't a huge difference in the band. The 22.4" was a perfect fit on me, but I found that this band is a touch small. It is tight enough that it causes the underwires to feel uncomfortable and a little painful. ... The band is already a firm one, and I've found with this type of band construction that there's a very fine line between snug and uncomfortably tight. Unfortunately this is the latter.
The cups are also a little odd to me, since they are only slightly wider than the 30D (+0.2"), but they are a lot deeper (+0.6"). The cups are also taller (+0.4"). The cups mostly felt ok, but I had some trouble filling out the increased depth and height at the top of the cup. Because of these proportions, it wasn't really suited for wide and short-rooted, FOB shapes like mine, whereas the 30D was a great shape match for me.
Aesthetically, this bra is super cute. I was drawn to the heart embroidery right away, and knew that I wanted to hunt this one down. I am pleased that the heart embroidery is as cute in person as it appeared online, and the small embroidered flowers on the lower cup in Lucy have been replaced with more hearts on Kali. There's also a cute little bow at the center gore and tonal picot edged elastic on the straps and lower band to up the frill factor, but these details are subtle and tasteful. However, I didn't love the neon pink color as it seemed a bit garish, which is a bummer since this was originally the color I was drawn to when I first discovered the style. My original Cerise is much prettier, IMO.
Sadly, I didn't end up adding a second Kali to my collection due to the fit in this size not being quite right.
