BM Fluo 60KK
This is my second attempt with Fluo, having tried it prior in a 60K.
Fluo is pink. I mean really bright, eye pain pink. I love the bright color! It’s truly neon not a hot pink. I am not a fan of pink, but this is an awesome pink color. The lining is white which accentuates the pink nicely.
The cup construction is the typical BM style, with 2 lower vertical sections (1 seam) and 1 upper horizontal section, with a wedge area that connects the straps to the cups securely. The upper horizontal section is always made of a stretch lace, and this particular model ... has the upper lace section lined as well, which can vary by model. This lining doesn’t provide bulk, just modesty so you can’t see the nipples through the bra but does not stop them from showing through a shirt on a cold day. The BM style bra is not padded and provides full and separated coverage.
One thing that is unique about this one is that the wedge area is the non-lace band material instead of lace. This doesn’t affect the fit or wear, but was different than most of the other lace BMs so I thought it was worth mentioning.
The band measures 22.4” and stretches to 28”. It has the standard 3 hooks with 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
This measurement is: 12.65”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
This measurement is: 16”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
To compare to Fluo in 60K, it had a smaller band at 21.25” to a max of 27.75”. The cup width was the same 6.15” and the depth was 12” to a max of 15.65” making the 60KK less than ½” more max depth at the apex. The wing and gore was higher on the 60K, at 4.75” and 4.25” compared to this one at 4.5” and 4.15”. The 60KK is ¼” taller in the cup.
As for fit, the band is comfortable on the 2nd from the tightest setting, but could easily be on the tightest. The cups fit nice and full but the gore is 1.5 fingers off the sternum. Since the cups are otherwise comfortable, don’t feel strained, and the wires aren’t irritating to my breast tissue, I will consider this one a good fit as well. It is definitely a better fit than the 60K, though yes, technically it is still not ideal. Of the 3 I’ve tried so far within this order, these cups feel the best, even though Fioletowy tacked a bit better, these cups feel better to me even when I force the gore to tack, the cups still fit nicely without overflow.
