The 30DD - Gossard » Vip Embroidery (14101) longline plunge is a bra that includes underwiring and light padding. The effect is one of enhanced cleavage, and I would consider this to be a slight pushup. Although stiff, I still found it to be quite comfortable (for a longline plunge). I wouldn't imagine sleeping in it, but I could see a scenario where I was lounging around in it.
On the cups, there is floral lace embroidery sewn into lace meshing. The embroidery goes a little beyond where the cups stop so as to lay on the top part of the breast. It's not itchy or ... uncomfortable. The embroidery on the cups shows a bit when the bra is worn under thin cotton t-shirts. However, I wore it under a polyester/nylon exercise shirt with no problems.
The same floral lace embroidery and stretch lace/mesh found on the cups can also be found on the band. Again, it is comfortable and not itchy. The band also features boning/wiring to help stabilize the whole concept as well as elastic straps on the top and bottom. The bandwidth is also quite flattering on me (if it helps, I'm 5' 7" and 130lbs). In the 30DD/E, the band has a four-row and three-column hook and eye closure.
The straps are thin, plain elastic but it doesn't matter really since the band is very supportive. The straps are fully adjustable and the adjusters are coated metal.
And I have to say I really enjoy this bra. It's very supportive and appealing. Comfortable too. It does a great job of putting my tall and wide rooted, averagely projected, breasts front and center. I feel like if I wanted (and at the appropriate time), I could wear it as a type of corset shirt, but otherwise, it's just something a little different and nonutilitarian to have in the lingerie drawer. If you get the chance, I say try it!
