Orianne is listed as a sister cut of Clara, so while I was intrigued by the appearance of this bra, I was hesitant to try it based on my past experience with Clara. Back when I was a 28DD, I tried a Clara in 30D that was so shallow it was like wearing a chest binder. However, I found this on Amazon for a decent price and decided just to give it a try as I haven't tried many Panache bras recently. I was surprised to find that Orianne may share similar measurements to Clara, it is much more projected, and due to its fabrication ... and shape, it fits much more like a non-stretch version of the Andorra.

Orianne is a 4 piece full cup with an interior tricot side sling for side support. The cups are tricot lined lace, and the upper cup is single layer lace with no stretch or upper edge elastic. The outer lace is an opulent and beautiful cross-dye, though I wouldn't describe the color as Teal/Gold, it is more like Navy/Champagne. Unfortunately, the lace is a bit scratchy, and is nowhere near the softness of the lace used on Andorra or Clara, which are both made from stretch lace. The lace extends through the entire cradle and a little bit into the strap, while the rest of the bra is plain deep navy. The straps have a triple picot edging and the center gore decoration is is a small champagne bow.

The band is firm, wide powermesh, and feels much better on me than many other Panache 30 bands that tend to run large on me. I would say it feels somewhere between a 28 and 30 band due to its firmness, though it measures TTS for a 30. The cups measure TTS for a 30DD and I found the wire shape and size to be comfortable and what I expect from Panache in this size. My only concern is that this cut on me tends slightly towards orange in a glass--there's a little more projection in the center of the cup and the upper cup is quite closed off. I definitely fill out the cup volume, but it can be a little bit of work to fit into the cups, something I also experience in some Fantasie side support styles. The side support sling is on the wider side on this bra so thankfully it doesn't cut into my outer tissue too much.

Compared to what I remember from Clara, the depth of this bra is normal for 30DD and definitely not shallow. It measures a touch deeper than Andorra, but since Andorra is stretch lace and meant to stretch to fit, it makes sense that this is a little bit roomier in the cup. However, I've noticed in this type of style that you can get a pointy, unflattering shape if you don't have enough breast tissue to really fill out the cup. So, the appearance of these unlined cups on me is OK but not great due to the slight shape mismatch and lack of stretch in the lace, and this is most noticeable at the center of the cup where it connects to the upper cup. However, the reason I really like the bra other than the beautiful lace and unusual colorway is that when I add in foam liners, it gives an amazing rounded shape that very few of my other bras can achieve! However, the only true downside to this bra is that due to the thicker lace, the seams can be visible under clothing, though the more you fill out the bottom cup, the smoother it will look.

Orianne is a lovely bra and a great option for those who currently like Andorra, but as it is not shallow, it will not suit Clara wearers. It is a sophisticated and elegant looking bra, and I only wish that the quality of the materials matched its luxurious appearance.

    Used to fit

Narrow wires and very projected for its size. As a result, it looks kind of pointy (though I haven’t broken it in, yet), but the fit is good enough that I don’t care. The upper cup cuts in a bit, so would be great for short roots (mine are taller). Strap placement is excellent - it doesn’t dig into my armpits! Yay! The aesthetics of the bra are gorgeous. Lovely colors.

Edited: This no longer fits in the cups, which are now too small. I haven’t gained or lost weight, so my only guess is that it’s tissue migration?
