I've tried every version of the Andorra in a range of sizes (28D/28DD/28E, 30D/30DD), so it's about time for me to give the Wireless version a try! I saw this on sale through Nordstrom, however 28E wasn't available, so I ordered the 28F as the stretch lace cups in my Andorra Full Cup felt like it could give a flexible fit.
However, I didn't realize that the Andorra Wireless' cups are lined with rigid mesh, so they do not stretch as I had expected. The cup fits my larger side OK, but is clearly too large for my smaller side, which looks deflated and sad. I ... tried these with my Commando Takeouts, which add a full cup size, and it does fit well with the inserts, so I do believe that the cups run true to size. However, the fullness in the cups is at the bottom, so it gives a bit of a bottom-heavy pointy shape rather than a rounded one. I plan to try this in a 28E when I can get my hands on one for a reasonable price, because the band fits well as expected compared to my other Andorra bras, and I've found that the regular Andorra in your correct size gives a really nice rounded shape.
Like the other bras in the Andorra family, this is made from the same stretch floral lace as the outer layer, though the cups are lined with mesh in this style and don't stretch. The wings are the same firm powermesh found in the other Andorra styles, and the elastic band at the bottom is extra firm and wide since there is no wire for lift and stability. The elastic at the front shares the same crossover construction at the cradle that makes the regular Andorra feel so stable. Detail-wise, it is very similar to the other styles from this family.
This is my first modern soft cup bra, and I was surprised at how much support it provided. The cups are a four piece seamed cup with side sling, similar to the regular Andorra, but the side sling here is a separate panel instead of the internal mesh sling in the regular Andorra. The cups are also bigger, taller, and much wider. The portion of the cup with the sling will wrap around your rib cage a bit even if you do not have breast tissue there--this is normal. The wings are also much taller in order to provide the support and stability you would normally get from the wire. As a result, the gore is also much taller in this bra.
I read a review once that compared this construction to a true vintage soft cup bra, and I do believe that this bra is really well constructed. Some people have had issues with the fit, but I think it is crucial to get the correct size in this style, and the fitting expectations should be different between an underwired bra and a true soft cup bra. I am very pleased with this bra even though this one wasn't quite my size, and am looking forward to giving it another try in my normal size of 28E.
