Several brands on Amazon currently make a knockoff of the Timpa Duet bra, which I haven't tried since it doesn't come in my size. Wingslove is one of the makers that produces this in 28 and 30 band sizes, so I decided to try the 30DD as the cup sizes don't go up beyond DD. Surprisingly, this bra truly does feel more supportive than it looks, however it ended up being too small in the cup as the cups run one size small.
The band feels pretty TTS for a 30, and even though the wings are short and there is only 1 hook at the back, ... it feels decently supportive. The wings are made with a pretty hefty stretch jersey with 18% spandex, so they are firm and not flimsy. The cups are geometric lace and also have a decent amount of spandex for support. However, they are cut both short and shallow, which caused me two different problems. On the larger side, which measures a full 28E/30DD, the cup is so small it literally squishes me in half and barely covers the nipple. On the smaller side, I am better contained, but the shape of the cup totally flattens me out without providing any lift. I think these cups need to be cut with more room at the fullest part of the cup, otherwise these effectively function as minimizers . . . very strange considering they are marketed to small cup sizes!
The only other thing that really bothers me about this bra is that the adjustors are at the front, which makes the bra look like it's on backwards. It always drives me crazy whenever I see clothing constructed like this. Unfortunately, the fit and styling just didn't work for me.
