Got bras? Create an account

We will use this information to estimate which body measurements fit better to each type of bra, it gives us an idea of what other bras could be useful for similar women and for you.

Why do I need to add this information?

This numbers are used to calculate bra recommendations for you. It's done based on other users with similar measurements and what their best fit is.

Measurements

Begin by choosing the units you'll be using from now on for measuring.

Units

Ribcage perimeter

Ribcage Perimeter

Your regular underbust measurement, measure around your ribcage right underneath the breasts.

Breast perimeter

Breast Perimeter

This is the measure around the breast from the outer side (close to your armpit) to the inner side (where it meets the sternum) going through the nipple.

To take this measurement you will need to bend over so your boobs are hanging freely. This mitigates measurements errors and differences during menstruation, when breasts tend to be swollen.

If you have small breasts, you may remain standing ;) .

If one breast is notably larger, measure the larger breast :) .

Neck to nipple

Neck to nipple distance

Measure from the front dimple between your clavicles (Sternal notch or manubrium) to either of your nipples. This measurement may be different on each breast, which is normal. Either enter the average measurement or measure only once.

Extended measurements

Breast base height

This measurement is to be taken from the center of your clavicles straight down to your underbust line.

The goal of this measurement is to get a clue on where are your breasts positioned on your torso, since this height is independent from your total height, it is useful to compare those that have high set breasts from those that have low set breasts and which bras work best for each.

Vertical breast perimeter

This is very similar to the previous breast perimeter you just did, but this time.

The goal with this measurement is to compare with the horizontal breast perimeter and get a hint of the shape of your breast root. Whether or not you have "tall boobs" or "short boobs" or anything in between. We can use this ratio to cluster you with others.

Lying down breast perimeter

This measurement is the same line you measured for your regular breast perimeter (horizontal) but you will take this measurement while lying down on your back. This allows to calculate the "softness" of the breast.

Frame width

The frame width is aimed to help us know how wide your chest frame is. Ideally you'd be taking this measurement armpit to armpit, but in some cases boobs might get in the way so we're measuring this at shoulder level.

Shapes

Shapes

In this step, you should choose which of the available shapes describe your breasts best.

You can choose more than one option. Notice that for most shapes there is an opposite (full on top/full on bottom, round/pointy, etc).

Look here for an explanation of the available shapes.

Body

Body

This section is called "body" because we'll not be measuring your breasts here. You're only asked for your weight, height and age range.

For your weight make sure to choose the appropriate units.

For your height remember you are using either inches or centimeters not meters or feet :)

Non bra related body measurements

These measurements are much more mainstream and easy to take, the idea is to have the more information available for you to get track of and for other sites if you authorize them to access your profile.

Bust

This is your normal "bust" perimeter measurement that you measure around your back and fullest part of your breasts wearing a proper wearing bra.

Waist

Your waist measurement should be taken at the narrowest point of your abdomen without squishing any tissue.

Hips

This is the perimeter across the fullest part of your hips/bum.

Inseam

This is the distance from your crotch straight down to the floor while standing straight.
