Site Terminology

Here I'll explain what are the terms used across the site to make sure we all speak the same language.

Brand

Refers to a brand of bras made by a company. It does not represent the company as it can make several brands.

If a company makes many brands, in the brand's detail page you will see the list of other brands made by the same manufacturer.

Model

This represents a style or model of the brand. It does not make distinction on color or production year.

It makes the same distinctions that the manufacturer has, such as naming or coding two models differently because the run for different sizes (Like Freya does).

Size or Bra Size

Represents a specific size for a model. So this refers to "30G in Freya Deco", not to "30G" in general.

This is important as there will be many Sizes for "30G" one for each model.

All those "30G" are different because they can have different brands, cuts, measurements and we cannot be certain that they are close to each other as they can even be using different size standards.

Bra

This means your individual tangible bra that you own. This bra has a Bra Size and belongs to you.

So it would be "your 32F Cleo Sadie" bra specifically and not all the bras that exist in such size.

Fit request

A fit request is a public call for suggestions you make for one of your bras.

Fit suggestion

This is a particular suggestion made by a user to any fit request on the site.

Bra Listing

Represents a listing of a specific bra. It can be for sale, give away or exchange.

Bra Transfer

Holds information about the closing transaction for a bra listing.

Bra Comparison

Represents a specific comparison between a set of bras. Any logged user can create comparisons.

Bra Comparison Review

If a user on the site happen to own all the bras on a bra comparison, she is invited to write a review comparing the bras herself and her different opinions for them.
