- Like what drownedsalad said, I have those dents that look like something is cutting in even when I'm wearing no bra at all! And it's there even though I've been wearing bands that stretch almost 20 inches larger than my underbust for most my life. It's not from cutting in.
  
  What is nice though, is that with a firm enough band the band can actually sit around that dent and smooth it out, where if it's looser it just slips up into the dent again.
  
  Add that to lots of bras being really stretchy in the band, and I end up having to wear 32-34 bands even though my underbust snug measurement is 35.

- Since you mentioned it, I thought I'd let you know that this bra style is very much like the Freya style Venusian Glow says to stay away from in that post about shallow shapes. Well, in the exact words; "Don't even think of trying the unpadded Freyas."

- This. I was going to say you probably need higher wires so that the tissue above them is under the band and in the cup instead of being poked into, but then I saw that you're wearing it too low! So good news is that you don't need a bra with higher wires, you just need to pull this one up.

- I agree with Vee. I have the Andorra and Jasmine in 32J and I had some crazy quadboobing in the Andorra, while the Jasmine is the first bra I've never had any quadboob in. Also a big difference in band. Could fasten the Andorra right off, but I'm still using an extender for the Jasmine. (my underbust is 35)

- The band is already riding up in the pictures. In general going down in band size should make the straps less further apart. (unfortunately this won't always help, and you'll usually get too wide straps from balconette styles :/ ) You can definitely afford to go down with this bra, and unless bras are known for being particularly tight (Panache Ariza and Freya Pollyanna are what comes to mind) you should be just fine with 34 bands or even 32 since you say you're squishy. Checking the bratabase band measurements should help.
  
  I'd suggest Panache Andorra. It's a full cup, but not nearly as "full" as other full cups I've tried, plus the cups run small and tight on top which should help with the gapping on top. You should try a 32 band in that one, since the band is so stretchy. (I have a 35 inch underbust and my 32 stretched to 36 inches when I got it, and had I worn it longer I'm sure it would have stretched out further.) And then maybe a GG or H cup.
  
  There are also those bra strap holder things that attach between the straps that I intend to try, since I too have problems with straps slipping off. (google "bra strap holder" to see what I mean)

- What I noticed about this bra is that it's very forgiving- that is, I can still wear it without any quadboob even though my measurements have changed and I'm now wearing 34H-32J UK sizes. It is too small for me, but so full coverage and minimizing that you can't really tell. So I'd say this one isn't the best for figuring out your size if you plan on ordering it for that, but there's a good likelihood it'll be wearable even if it doesn't fit.

- Thanks for the suggestions! I got the email for the first one, luckily. 34H might be worth a try; I really dislike quadboob but if the wires were narrower I'm sure I'd have more room in the cups of this one. And that makes sense about the EMs; I notice halfcups seem to have less depth measurement than more coverage bras so that's probably why.

Narrower Underwires?

So, using the advice from my last post about underwire width I measured my new Jasmine's underwires at 6.7" (32J) They are so wide they sometimes poke at the back of my armpit. (although they can stretch to 8.5" wide) Using the advanced search, absolutely no bras measured exist with any less width and comparable depth. So I don't know... ... do narrower underwires at a cup depth of 14.5-15 even exist? I looked through EM bras but they seem to have very shallow cup depth. (also I can't wear plunges or bras with too low cups; my boobs are very soft and will spill right out if given a chance.)

Just fyi, my measurements:
Underbust: 35 (33 too tight)
Bust standing/laying no bra: 45 (47 bending over)
Perimeter: 14.5

- Someone -- sorry, I don't remember who :( -- once posted about replacing the underwires, which resulted in a completely different fit: a narrow and relatively deep bra can be made to fit wider and shallower; a wide and shallow bra can be made to fit narrower and deeper. Could this be worth a shot for you?
- I have thought of that... the task then would be finding the right size underwire for that. Maybe next time I'm at a Nordstom or something I'll go looking closely at wires. I also get armpit poking easily, so really wire replacement with something not so tall would be good too.

- Too small of cups can also make your bands feel too tight. To check if that's the case, put your bra on backwards so your cups are at your back and band under your breasts. This will let you feel how just the band itself feels, and you can judge whether your band is too tight, too loose, or just right from that.
  
  If it really stretches to 28.7 and your underbust is 28 I'd say the band is just fine, but it really depends on your comfort, how much padding you have on your ribcage, and whether you're getting enough support from the band or not.

- First order of business; you are wearing the cups much too low! The underwire is resting almost an inch under your breast. Pull it up until the underwire is right at the crease of your bust. This will definitely change how the cups fit, for better or worse you'll have to see.
  
  If you can't get them that high you need wider wires/bigger cups. Gaps like that can be an indication of orange in a glass effect. http://www.bratabase.com/knowledge/orange-in-a-glass/ If you can get it up but the bra slips down again, you may need a tighter band.
  
  Either way, you are probably correct in needing a bigger cup size, but if pulling the bra up solves your problem, great!

- I bought this bra knowing that the band would be too tight. I'm hoping it'll stretch out; this review is on how the bra fits with an extender.
  
  First of all, I didn't believe a bra could actually affect posture until I tried on this one! I do find myself standing straighter with my shoulders more naturally back in this bra.
  
  What I love about it is the stretch lace. For once when I bend over without a very full coverage bra, I don't get quadboob. My breasts are very soft, which makes it easy to just flow out of the tops and middle of cups and make unsightly bulges ... under clothing. At first I thought I was doing that in this bra... turns out that although when I bend over my breasts do start flowing out the top, the bra doesn't cut in and cause quadboob! It just stretches and keeps a smooth line.
  
  It also does what a forward projecting bra should do; gather in tissue from the sides and shove it forward. Because of this it's a pointy shape, but it lifts nicely and narrows my front profile. (A little too much for my body, but that's because right where the bra goes is the narrowest part of my torso width-wise. This bra really shows that off and makes me look unbalanced with my wider bottom half.)
  
  What I also love about the bra is the immediate cup depth in the middle. That's exactly what I need for my lack of separation. It lets my boobs go straight out forward instead of pushing them outwards like other bras do when there isn't enough depth around the center gore.
  
  There are two major problems with this bra; the straps slip off my shoulders because they are too wide, and if I lean the wires poke at the back of my armpits because they're too wide too. This explains why although I have a perimeter of 14.5, a cup with a depth of over 15 has no gapping.
  
  The fabric of the cups buckles/wrinkles a bit underneath, but I think that's due to the straps not being supportive enough to keep the cups where they should be because they're too wide.
  
  Note: I measured cup depth with the bra cups stretched down over my knee. I did this 3+ times with each cup, and 15.25 is the average.

Measuring cup width

I assumed that "from end to end of the underwire" meant the outer edges? After all, that's how far out the wire is going to be on you. And yet bratabase is telling me the cup width is too big! Also, I've been measuring from the end of the channel, rather than the end of the wire, since it says ... "of the cup or underwire" and well, the cup comes up higher than the underwire in most of my bras! You can see the differences in the pictures.

Occasionally in my review I also put how far the cup stretches. In some it's a negligible amount, like less than an inch like the Panache tango plunge, but in others the wire stretch is a good 3 inches wider than resting width.

Anyway, how do you measure cup width?

- I measure end to end of the inner edges. In my logic, that's where all my breasts would be contained in.
  
  If the two points have different height like your bra, I usually just measure one end to other end.
- Measure it on the inside of the wire, which is the actual width being used. Wires can have different widths, and if you measure on the outside the wire of the wire is taken into account even though the actual fit will be the same. Because of that, always measure on the inside.
