I think part of it is also the shallowness of the cup- which of course may not be a problem for everyone. But the Jude does seem to be a disaster for many. I know for me the stupid thing used to slip down so bad, the underwires sat a couple of inches below my inframammary fold. Also the underwire ends dug in at the centre gore- don't think the flimsy gore helped any on the fit either. Then the top edge of the cups cut in.
Thanks @EllieRoo . I'm a bit more even fullness than anything. Not sure if I'd need G or GG(36 band- unless super stretchy). So am curious to see the measurements.
Ooh, I was a bit interested in this one..being a bit vertically challenged myself ;). But wondered how wide the wires were, but you mentioned narrow..DO you think it runs small, average or large cupwise?(Not exactly sure on my size in elomis.
I Have the red, but not the raspberry. But I would say if you look at pictures of both, they definitely are not the same colour. Similar possibly, but distinctly different. I would be annoyed also If I particularly wanted the red and that was what was advertised, but I received the raspberry. If you are unhappy, the seller should refund as it is not as described.
Being a apple/inverted triangle shape. I find it also difficult as if I try to get anything to fit my bust, then its pretty much always too large in the hips. I have tried shopping in the plus sizes mainly to accomodate my chest and I am borderline on sizing, but as Theitgurl said they seem to have more pronounced pear shape fitting. It has frustrated me that they seem to exagerate the hip measurements, but not the bust. So they are sometimes still tight there and too big everywhere else.
Ugh- sweat smell would be really unpleasant. I have purchased a bra of ebay that was 'new without tags' It did smell of perfume also. I emailed the seller Turns out she said she had sprayed it before she wrapped it and sent as she thought it would be nice idea.. I do believe her as the bra did not appear worn at all. I didn't mind the perfume, but would have preferred the bra unscented- at least it was better than body odour smell on it!
veggie, the Cleo Natasha is actually supposed to be purple animal print.. but I always thought it looks like camouflage.
I Think they should change their name to that! lol :D
Thats great news.. but such a limited size range still really. :(. Its frustrating when they advertise (& I am not just talking Big W)- 'larger cup' sizes but still so limited.
@brasandbodyimage , we are talking of the same person then.. I wasn't sure whether to name the person I was talking of. But yes I thought there was issues with the supplier not wanting to know about it or not being prepared to take back the bras. It does appear there was a problem with these bras.. As for fitting in too tight bands??? What? So if that was the case wouldn't there be a similar issues with ALL bras, not just that colourway/model.. Its quite clear this was not just an issue with one retailer- as there are ladies in a number of countries with the same issues. Grrr, up against big busniess who don't want to acknowledge a problem.. frustrating.
I'm a bit late adding to this, but i know of a seller in Australia(where I am) who was selling out their seafoam colour in both Gia and Portia (at cost)as they were having issues with this happening to the bras within the first wear or so of customers wearing them, and could not guarentee they would not do the same. At the time they were not sure if they had just got a faulty batch themselves..I am not sure if they were having issues with the supplier not taking them back for being faulty. But it sounds like with what everyone is sayong here, that it was not just one batch. I am wondering if there is anyone who has either of these bras in seafom, that hasn't had the issue?
Ereshiy , the whole economics, pricing etc is definitely a hard one. And I feel for those small companies who can not afford to sell their prodicts cheaper- they need to make a living too and I have mad purchases from some of theses places, but just can not do it for every purchase. But I don't believe the high prices reflect a comparible portion to our incomes- not with such a huge price difference. I think there are many factors that come into play with it. Our cost of living in general is quite high to many other countries whose wages may be lower. And its always been the case that our prices were so much higher than international, for many items- regardless of what the wages or dollar was like. you are right, it is a complex issue. And I do feel somewhat guilty at times when purchasing something from overseas, because of the price difference- I know we need to try to support Aussie businesses too. But its REALLY hard when on very limited income to be able to afford the higher prices.
Ambie103 , good luck, hope you find them!
rockthecurves , everything I have seen says the Envy is based off the Jasmine, where did you see it was based on the tango 2?. I did read something saying theDahlia is also based on the Jasmine, but with a more rigid lace top than the jasmine. (I was originally under the impression the Dahlia was based on the tango, but now that i read it based on Jasmine, it could be interesting)
Ambie103 , yeah, I understand the cost factor.. Myer sometimes have some good sales as do Bendon themselves. But I hear what you are saying on the prices differences between Australia and OS. WOuld be great if Myer did stock Curvy Kate, but then again they probably won't stock the full size range either! David Jones apparently stock them also, but I have not seen them.
And I do agree, most Aussies probably don't lnow those sizes exist or anything over say an E/F cup(and most would think that that is super huge). I guess when some of our Major retailers like Myer and DJ's don't stock the sizes..it perpetuates the myth.
Ambie103 , Evollove by Bendon make 30G bras, equivilent probably to a uk 30FF as they skip FF cups. But might be worth looking into- though I guess you may still need to alter down the band. :( .. but yeah lack of sizing in Au is a pain. Even when Myer etc stock brands like Freya and Fantasie, they don't stock the full size range! I am certain you would find your size though in boutiques like Brava (Melbourne) for example and others in other states, but their prices are a bit more.
yes, I think if you use a credit card there is a charge still. I think.
:( Jealous.. they obviously don't post to Australia!
Ha, ha.. I got a similar comment from a friend, saying 'do they even sell that size on the Shops?' Like it was absurdly huge! (36G, which is not even the size I usually take- more like a 34H)..
Thanks for tagging EllieRoo , will go take a look.
