I've known that I've been wearing the wrong size bra for a long time but trying to find ... a cup size bigger than an 'E' in Australia is not too easy add to that the fact that so many stores just want to shove you into whatever they can and tell you it's the right size when it's plainly obvious that it's not.
Fortunately up until now I've rarely had comfort problems with bras and the backs didn't ride up (although I always had to use the tightest hooks) but fitting all that I've got into the cup and having the centre gore tack just did not happen - I actually thought it might be a myth, I mean I'd pushed mycentre gore in and could see how much didn't fit in to the DD cup (turns out it was several cup sizes worth).
I was recently fitted at Bravissimo in London. It took about 2 hours and the only bras that came close were the Cleo Juna, Cleo Maya, Panache Andorra and Panache Jasmine. During the course of head spinning I did try some Freyas but the ones I tried were too shallow in the bottom and sometimes at the sides (I really wish I'd taken note of the styles).
Apparently I need immediate projection (FOB?) and although it was certainly news to me, my breasts have a shape that they will not be squished out of which narrows the field of potential bras that will fit.
So, now I have these bras but after wearing the Juna and Maya I've found that the centre gore is too wide and so are the wires. I have very little space between my breasts and they most definately do not end under my arms where the wires do. I actually think the Maya could benefit from a bit of taking in at the tip to provide a bit more lift. I also really need to change the position of the straps because during the course of the day I do have to do things that require my arms to come forward and it would be nice if it didn't feel as if my arms were being sawed off.
In my quest to find the perfect bra that fits properly and is comfortable I'll be buy different ones try and passing them on if unsuitable.
So, this is what I've been able to determine about me and bras in a nutshell:
*current estimated size 30G (UK)
*full on bottom
*narrow root
*low on chest
*close set
*I'm not narrow in the shoulders but it seems that these balconnet straps are situated for people that don't use their arms and don't have any pecs.
