I had almost given up on a perfect fit in an everyday-standard, beige padded balcony-type bra. I've tried at least 6 including EM S cut and resigned myself to 3-part half cups. Hallelujah, this one is IT thanks to wild_muses !!! Me: close set, narrow & short roots, even top to bottom but functionally FOB due to soft tissue, side fullness, ridiculous immediate projection needed. If I get the support I need at the wire and sides the girls become more FOT; if not they just sag into whatever is available or squish sadly flat. I like a lifted & centered rounded shape (between green ... & purple?). The Nicol fills the bill: narrow wires, deep at the bottom with less at the apex, perfect gore height and width, good control at the sides including boning. The cups are a construction I have not seen before: 4 part, with the two vertical seams coming in at a sharp angle, right to left. (That may help with pulling the side fullness in?) . The top section does have a solid top seam and comes in at an angle which could impact tall roots but helps to give me the shape I like. The band is firm but not too; its a good 'hug' and while not stretchy, it is generous for a 70/32. The wires stay in my imf with 12-15 hours wear and zero adjustments; I do not even feel this bra on. Soft cotton inside, smooth matte outside with seaming that is undetectable under knits. The padding is medium thickness similar to Comexim and less than EM or Cleo. Great for work since I have really prominent nipples! The cups are not too tall and there is no gaping at the strap or at the gore once I scoop & swoop. (Note if I do not s&s the girls do not fill out the top fully; there is extra room up there!). The gore touches at the top with a gentle curve down and is relatively narrow at the bottom (do wish we had a measurement for that, as it makes a big difference!). The padded wire channels have 1/2" of leeway which helped me clear my close set tissue by moving the wires to the outside. I have wide shoulders so the straps are perfectly positioned, but they might not work for narrower shoulders as they are far to the sides. The straps have soft fleecy insides, are fully adjustable, and are just stretchy enough to be comfortable while supporting. The overall construction is good, not luxury, but well-made with fleece in all the right areas. There are no frou-frous except a classy diamond dangle: this is a functional bra not trying to be sexy. The only con is that the label size and the tag size do not agree. Sewn in label says 70G/32G while the attached paper tag says 70G/32F. So I can't tell if Nicol is tts, but I can say it is most definitely NOT a 32F! Maybe a 32FF or a small 32G...Impimi seems to be working the bugs out, and I understand their customer service is very helpful to determine correct size. I know others have not been happy with the brand, but I'm a fan and may be buying Nicol in every color soon!
