My entire life I thought there was something wrong with me because bras were too painful to wear ... and I couldn't even fill out the 32AA bras. Turns out that I measure at around a 28D and my 32AA/As had been riding up so far that they pressed down on my breast tissue. I pretty much haven't worn bras for years (usually will wear silicon nipple covers or stick on bras for special occasions) and have dealt with a lot of self confidence issues because of my wrong bra size. I really felt like there was something wrong with me because I didn't fit into the standard sizes of bras offered in the US and it took me a long time to appreciate my breasts for what they are. It makes me really angry to think that stores try to force women into a narrow range of sizes in order to increase profits. Hopefully with resources like bratabase and abrathatfits, stores will eventually be compelled to change their practices to be more accommodating for women of all sizes and become more standardized (I'm looking at you America!).
