Panache » Tango Ii Balconnet Bra (3251) » 30E 30:6
Issue resolved
I bought a 30F and while I thought it was too big in the cup at first, it turned out that it was perfect after I placed my breasts properly in the cups.
Also, no armpit fat at all!
Original problem
I've been looking at my bras a bit and this may be my best fitting bra. However, I still have issues with it, especially on the second half of my cycle (the pictures were taken during the first half and after a shower, which always seems to make my bras fit better).
I have a bit of bulging on top, especially as I breathe or move, and some armpit fat.
The band tends to ride up so I loosened the straps for the picture and it fits better. However, the bra tends to slide down a bit during the day which makes the "quadraboobs" effect worse.
However, everything else is right (apart from some slight wrinkling that was always there and which I assume must be related to the fabric or cut of the bra since the cups are full).
I want to buy a new bra soon from the same brand because the shape seems to work better than Freya bra.
It will either be the Tango again or the Juna bra by Cleo (which is apparently tighter in the band).I'm not quite sure I should try a bigger cup size or a smaller band size because my ribcage is quite wide (about 29inches) and my breasts size vary a lot during the month.
Also, I have tuberous breasts which makes it hard for me to pick the right shape or size.
Would you suggest I try on another size? Do you think I could try the Juna bra?
Thank you.

helpfulI have this problem with the Tango Plunge too (the cups riding down). I think it's due to the fact that the cups are too shallow at the bottom and my boobs are full on bottom, so they don't fit in the shallow part at the bottom of the cup and push it down. That's my theory at least.
I've had much better luck with the Panache Confetti, for example, which is discontinued, but can be found on eBay still.

helpfulI would probably go for a larger cup size, same band.
Perhaps you could have two bra sizes? One with a larger cup, for the times when the boobs are bigger, and one with a smaller cup. A similar thing happens to me with my Confetti - sometimes the cups are slightly too large, at other times I can barely fit inside... I'm probably going to adopt the two-size strategy myself!

helpfulSometimes the band can ride up a bit if the cups are too small because of the underwiring sitting on breast tissue, I think. I think the cup size definitely looks too small and that you likely wouldn't have issues with armpits/quadboob if you went up - that is, if you still want to try this style. (Sorry, no advice on the problems with this particular style, but other people have covered this. ^^)

Thank you. I really needed to be convinced that going up a cup size wouldn't be a bad idea.

helpfulI don't think the band is too loose for you, so there's must be another reason why it's riding up. Isn't the center gore too wide for you? This might cause the front of bra riding down to make it fit between your boobs and as a result the back of the band rides up.
But you definitely need a cup more, like 30F/28FF if you think the band is too loose - that's something only you can figure out.Updated on April 13, 2012 Flag this

I think the band will be tight enough with this brand. I really only had an issue with Freya or the Curvy Kate Tempt me (which seems quite common).
I'm in between two band sizes anyway, but since I get water retention, it certainly would be a bad idea to take a 28 band from what I've read about Panache or Cleo. The center gore is a bit wide for me, you're right. I never guessed this could cause the band to ride up, that's good I asked then. Thanks a lot.

helpfulShape can be a tricky issue with fabric bras, especially if your tissue is very soft. I'm not sure that you need a tighter band, but I'd go up at least one cup size.
Hmm, have you tried the Panache Porcelain if you like the Panache wires (they're wider)? The Juna may also work- I'm not sure about your experience with molded bras, but if you haven't tried them, some people like the shaping they can give.

I think Panache wires tend to be a bit too wide for me, though not as much as Curvy Kate. Freya is a better fit for that but the cups rarely work well. From what I've read about the Porcelain bra, I think the wires will be too wide for me.
Thanks for the advice on the cup size. I'm not sure about the band size either, I think a 28 would be too tight but I prefered to ask since some people claim that going up a cup size makes the band looser.

helpfulI would say that the cup is too small, so you should try a 30 F or 30FF. I also think that the shape of the Tango might be wrong for you.
But I find it hard to judge whether the issue here is the size or this particular bra.
I would like to see pictures of you in a Freya bra in the same size if you don't mind.

That's what I was thinking as well, I should probably get two sizes but I'm always so afraid to end up with one I won't be able to wear. Thanks.
