Bra fitting help » No idea if this bra fits!
Curvy Kate » Thrill Me Padded Bra (SG3001) » 28GG 28:10
Issue resolved
28H came today and it definitely feels a lot more secure. The central gore still doesn't quite lay flat but I think that might just be the shape of my boobs more than anything else. The cup does fold under slightly at the bottom on one side but overall the fit and support is so much better and much comfier. Very happy.
Original problem
This is my second attempt at trying the Curvy Kate Thrill Me. The 28G definitely didn't fit (although I did convince myself otherwise for a while) but I honestly have no idea if this 28GG fits or if I should go up a cup size as I'm really not used to this style.
The central gore doesn't quite late flat but it does seem to get fairly close depending where my shoulders are.
I feel like my boobs are kind of falling out of the bra a bit but as all my other bras are pretty full coverage I don't know if this is just the style or if the cups are too small. Sitting down typing this I feel like I'm falling out but as soon as I go and look in the mirror again it seems like it fits.
The only thing I'm sure of the band which seems fine, if anything a bit loose but that's something I can change (although the picture seems to make it look like its horrifically tight!). I just honestly have no clue about the cups. I'm so confused!

helpfulTo me it looks as if there could be a light quadraboob hidden beneath all of the frill of the cup.
You could try the 28H and see if it feels safer to you and if the quadraboob (in case it exists) goes away.
Are the wires too wide for you?Otherwise, as far as I know, it's less of an everyday bra and more of a show off bra or such xD It's possible that it will just always feel a little unsafe. It's most definitely not made for doing sports in it.

Perfect if the wires aren't too wide! It's hard to see, the only person who can say for sure is the owner of the bra :)
If it's a sneaky quadraboob, more reason to try 28H. I've also heard though that this bra "needs" to be at a near quadraboob stage to fit well, it's somehow meant to look this way.
But maybe you'll get another suggestion by someone who has had more experience with this bra, I've only briefly tried it on (and it was too big on me).
Anyway, if you don't feel safe and have easy access to it, try this bra in 28H :) -
Yeah looking at pictures of people wearing it some of them seem like they have a bit of a quadraboob. Just managed to order a 28H in a sale (as I think curiosity will get the better of me)so I'll give it a go but yeah hopefully someone will give me a better idea! Thank you though :)

helpfulThis sound very much like the fit I had with this bra. Even after having scooped myself into the bra, it seemed like an ok fit, but just as with you, just sitting by the computer was enough to reveal that it was actually too small. After I wore it out and about, it became embarrassing clear that it was too small. With this kind of low cut bra, even just one size off can cause you to practicalle fall out of it entirely! I would say definitely try it in an H.

helpfulWhile you do have a small quadraboob effect going on, hidden by the ruffles, I would say that the small roll of 'fat' on the side of the cup would be a dead give away that the cup is too small. There should be none of that in a perfect fitting cup. Go up a size to a 28H and hopefully that will disappear.

I just want to add that there are people who even after having worn perfectly fitting bras for a while do not experience the effect of tissue migrating into the cup. It's just different for different women.
However, it's possible that in your case it is breast tissue which is supposed to sit in the cup and not outside of it.
-
While I do agree with you, I have wide roots, and my breast tissue is abundant under my arms, although the Thrill Me that I am wearing in a 30HH covers me enough on the side that I don't have the problem as seen in the pictures.
-
I have had the issue of breast tissue escaping a bit especially on that side in other bras that are nowhere near anything like a push up (Tango Plunge for example). But I have to say that now you've pointed that out it does feel more 'squished' than these bras so I'm beginning to believe the cup is probably too small. But even if it doesn't go as Suna said, hopefully a cup up will feel better anyway! :)
-
It is quite possible that you happen to have more breast tissue on the sides than others, but a larger cup should hopefully encase you completely so you don't have that squished feeling. Because I do know that with that extra skin there it can cause irritation, and that's never fun. Good luck with a larger cup, though!

Yeah it seems like a sneaky quadraboob, I can see it from some angles but not others!
I don't think the wires are too wide, if you mean they go to far back on my ribs on the sides? They seem to fit almost exactly round my boob at the sides which a few of my bras that otherwise fit don't quite do!
But yeah, its difficult to know when it's marketed as an occasion bra!
