Bra fitting help » I don't know what size to go for. I measured myself and got 28FF
Curvy Kate » Princess Balcony Bra (CK6001) » 28FF 28:8
Issue resolved
I decided the Pricess is not a good cut for me. I'm preparing to exchange it for other Curvy Kate/Flirtelle bras that are a 28G or 28GG with a more open top.
Original problem
It does not cover most of my breast and cuts into it. I got another bra in a 30 F that fits fine (the band is big though), yet this is wayyyy too small. Confused. The band is perfect though

helpfulCurvy Kate can run small in the cups, in this case a 28 band seems correct for your ribcage measurement, but you might want to try a 28GG or 28H for this bra (that's 2 or 3 cups bigger than 28FF).
How did you measure yourself to get 28FF?

I'd say at least a GG, from the pictures you need to go at least 2 cups up, so a 28GG might be a good start.

helpfulHow did you measure your overbust-measurement? Did you bend forward without a bra on? If not, do that.
26-26.5" ribcage plus 35.5" bust would just based on measurements mean a 26G, with its sistersize of a 28FF. However measuring isn't an exact science and the acutal size need depeneds on a lot more, shape, fullness, firm/soft not to mention that some bras run small and some run big.
If you're full on top you might want to go up atleast one, maybe even two cup sizes from normal in the styles from Curvy Kate with a ribbon along the top edge.

Yes I did. And 35.5 was being generous. I think they're just very full on top. Thank you!

I think they are quite full in general and full on to especially. :) I think that you need atleast two cup sizes up, maybe even three in this one, so a 28GG or a 28H might be good for you.
As you are a quite small 28-band (I'm that as well) I can also recommend Angel which is quite similar to this one but with a smoother surface, and Ella which is more open along the top of the cup so you might find a 28G or a 28GG large enough for you.
Full on top also means that Masquerade probably could be good on you in their padded half cups, they are also small in the band though their cups are generous. Here you might find that a 28FF could work after all. (I wear 28JJ in Princess/Angel and 28H in Masquerade half cups). If you find anything from Cleo that is tight in the band that could be good as well. I think Chloe might be good for you from them. :)

Do you have any experience with the Flirtelle Dahlia? It is supposed to be a replica of the Ella.

Yes, I do, just got two (one black and one nude). They are definitly very similar though I find Dahlia slightly larger in the band. Still comparable to Princess though. :)

I had rounded up to 28 and rounded my measurement of 35.5 to 36. My underbust is 26-26.5 and my over is 35.5 so would a 28 G fit better?
