Issue resolved
I'm just going to order 28FF and 28G and compare, just in case. Thanks everyone for your advice!
Original problem
This was my first 'properly sized' bra. It's been a few months, and now I really need the tighter band. I really love the jolie bra though, and I want to order it in a 28 band.
Recently, I've been getting some quadboob with this bra. I wear it on the tightest hook, and it has been comfortable enough until this point. No quadboob until recently! The tops dig in enough to leave red marks when the bra comes off(normal red marks, they fade quickly). You can see the quadboob through a regular shirt. The gore used to lay completely flat, but now it seems to push slightly off my body, but not terribly so. The shape seen in the angled shot is not generally typical of this bra.
I am not sure if this quadboob is enough that I should order a 28G, or if I should stick to the same size cups and order a 28FF. I'm not a great judge of how much quadboob means you should order the next size up.
Any advice would be appreciated!

helpfulThis is what we call remigration. When boobies finally get into the cups as big as they need, they get so thrilled that they start to grow All the boob tissue that was pushed to the sides by ill fitting bras comes up front an your boobs get firmer and rounder and yes, bigger.
Now, the quadboob on this ine probably isn't enough to justify a cup up - however the migrationwill pribably continue and if your boobs get bigger during pms you will probably need cup up.
That said, from your ribcage measurment I don't know how you ever got away with a 30 band, especially in the superstretchy jolie. I bet wires float in the air when yo lift your arms above your head
So 28G in this one if you ask meUpdated on December 3, 2012 Flag this

I second the 28G :)

question about remigration: will it occur even though I've mostly stopped wearing bras for about year since my 32As felt monstrous? Or did not wearing bras fix any migration that I;ve had? I mean, I never really noticed since I've only heard of all this recently.

helpfulA 28G in Freya should probably work.
If you want to save this bra and try to make it fit better as it is, I would recommend taking in the center gore. This serves to make it dig into less in your breast tissue, open up the top so there's less quad boob, and it even shortens the band a little bit.

helpfulI can only agree on the 28G.
And taking in the center gore is a great idea, it really opens up the top AND takes in the band so it might make this bra (which you obviously love) more wearable for a while still!Updated on December 4, 2012 Flag this

helpfulThe straps look a bit over-tightened. I coul be wrong though... To be honest: I don't think you should go up a cup size, but only go down a bandsize - to a 28FF. This is a so-called plunge balcony bra, so I guess it's meant to be a 'sexy' fit and not to come up too high. But of course, it's up to you, how you want it to look

Thanks! Either way, I will make sure I can return it just in case I do need a 28FF or a 28G(depending on which I decide to order).
The straps are actually looser than the recommended 2 finger tightness. Any tighter and they dig in horribly to my shoulders.

Yes, I know looks can be deceiving. I hope either one of those sizes will fit you better than this one:)

Thank you! I'm so glad that I am now able to bounce these ideas off other people rather than blinding order things and hoping it works out!

helpfulThe quadboob you have looks to me like plunge-related quadboob.
Essentially you gained fullness near the centergore thanks to migration, this tissue now collides with the rim of the cup. There is no easy fix to this. If you already have the bra it sometimes helps to use a back clip to convert the bra into a racerback. It loosens up the lace a bit there. But in general you just got to try other bras.

When I started this whole bra thing, I measured 29" ribcage! Now I measure 27", but overbust hasn't changed(still 36"). Go figure!
Thank you!
