Issue resolved
Thanks, everyone! Looks like I have my first well-fitting bra!
Original problem
Hi ladies!
So this is my first Ewa Michalak bra, so I am not entirely sure how it should fit.
I ordered a 30F and 30FF of the Ch Biscuit with the removable pads since I have pretty bad asymmetry (my left side is 1-2 cup sizes larger than my right).
The 30F, in the pictures, fits quite well -- better than most of my bras. However, I do still have gapping on my right side. The left side fits well, but my nipple is close to the top of the cup. It doesn't risk showing, but it's very close.
The straps kind of bother my arms, but this isn't really new for me -- I have pretty narrow shoulders, so most bras rub my arms.
My breasts themselves are pretty close together -- one thumbs-width apart without a bra -- and my tissue doesn't go very far over. I am fairly rounded and firm (for now!), but I am full on the bottom. Bras like the Deco gap REALLY badly on me even if I fill out the bottom of the cups.
The 30FF, which I haven't uploaded pictures of yet, fits my big breast pretty well, but ohmygod, the gapping on the small side is unbearably bad, even with the inserts. The strap also rubs my arms really badly.
As for the band, I can gently pull it about 2-3 fingers off my back, but otherwise it feels very very snug on me (65cm/30in band that is 23.5" unstretched, 29.5" stretched -- I have a 29.5" ribcage).
Does this bra fit me? It seems pretty good, but I am still pretty new to the whole "right size" thing. How do the Ewa Michalak Ch bras sit on the breast tissue? Does this bra look supportive and flattering on my shape? If not, what do you wonderful women suggest? Thank you so much. If you have any questions about measurements/size, just ask away.
Edit: I swoop and scoop all my breast tissue as well, so no worries about that.

helpfulCH style is a half cup - this is why straps are so wide, maybe PL style would be better?
The band looks good, even 32 could be ok
Does the bigger breast stays in the cup when you are moving? If yes, the cup is ok.

helpfulAll in all I think you have a pretty good fit - the best Ive seen so far in the fitting section. I would try tightening the strap on your smaller side a bit - I think that would get rid of the gaping, and the straps are quite loose on you as it is.
Do you like the bra? Does it make you feel good and secure? If yes, keep it and list it as a bra that fitsUpdated on October 11, 2012 Flag this

I agree that it does look like a good fit. I too get the chafing problem with the straps and this might be why she hasn't tightened the strap to stop the cup gaping...for me tightening the straps makes the chafing issue a lot worse.

Yep! Usually when I tighten it up, it digs into the area between my arm and armpit, if that makes sense.
Regardless, I tightened up the straps a bit today and the bra fits brilliantly. I gap a tiny bit on my right side but it is barely noticeable.
I just wanted to double-check to make sure it fit great before I kept it, since I've kept bras in the past that don't fit well because I didn't know what was a "good fit."

helpfulI think it looks quite good in general, definitly wearable, so the things I'm going to mention is just some smaller things, overall I think you're on the right track.
CH is a half cup style, and a lower version as well. This little coverage in the smaller sizes is quite common. If you want a just slight bit more coverage the HP is very similar but with a slightly larger coverage level. I don't know if there's any with pockets for pads though, but you can always wear them with pads anyway, and if you're afraid of them shifting during wear, put just a few stitches in.
How have you done with the pads? In which cups do you have pads in and how many? In your case I would suggest no pad on your larger side and two pads on your smaller to start with. If you only wear one pad on the smaller side here, could you add another pad on that side and see how it fits? if it still gaps you might even want to add a third pad.
You should always fit the larger side. If you feel as if the size up works better on your larger side, then you might want to wear the larger size but with three pads on your smaller side.
I ddefinitly think it's flattering on you, but it's a half cup, made for wide and low necklines. You might want a PL anyway, those are available with pads, especially to get a bit more support. They are also better with the straps in my experience, they are not as super-far apart.
Ewa Michalak is great in the sense that they do make all their bras in the 50-55-60-65 band sizes. However, what is not so great is that they don't grade properly. Your bra basicly has the exact same cup construction as a 70E, 75DD, 80D and 85C... Naturally the straps need to sit closer together on a 65-fram than a 85, but that is not adjusted. This still looks wearable though.
Personally I can't wear a CH or HP without altering the strap position because they're so far apart, but then I'm at a 55K/60JJ. The PLs are wearable though, even if I still have trouble. Most people I've talked to also find the straps closer together on the PL bras.

helpfulIt looks like a pretty good fit, maybe a hair too big in the cups, but probably fixable. I wonder if the chafing from the straps may not have anything to do with the fit but instead with the material of the straps. They look pretty rigid. After a couple of washes they may soften up.

The lace sits a bit further out than the cup (molded cups), so even on my full side it SEEMS like it doesn't fill, but it does.
It's the first bra I don't quadboob in on the left side, regardless of how I move around.

helpfulI find my CH Cielus bra to have straps that are simply too widely set in front. Someone I know (because I sold her my HP bra) actually detached the straps and resewed them a little further into the cup.
Maybe this would help for your fit? The cups do look a little big, but I find that the CH bras don't hold me close at all and so my breasts settle strangely into the cups. If I grasp the cups an inch or so inwards from the straps, the fit is better. I'm going to do the strap mod to mine.

Yep. Even when I lift my arms, boob stays in place. :)
