Issue resolved
I'm going to exchange this for a 32D so that I can try it out! It should be better, and I'll report back!
Original problem
Hi, ladies! This is my first bra trying to use the "add-0 inches" to the band fitting technique. And my first non-Victoria's Secret fitted bra in over three years. I tried a 30E because it was recommended to me that the Casey has a generous band so it should be comfortable on my 31 in. ribcage. My left boob is bigger than my right boob, so I have the right strap a bit tighter in order to have less gapping. I feel like the left cup is pretty good, it gaps a tiny bit when I move around, and the right one fits with a tiny gap usually apparent. I'm not sure if the band is too tight, it takes some effort to close it but I'm used to either a 34 or 32 band that are 2-3 years old so I'm thinking that it's probably just firmer than I'm used to. It gives some "back fat" which is obvious in the first back view picture, but I can still stretch it out a bit from my body, which is shown in the second back view picture. If you guys think that this fits, or I need to change the cup size, or the band is too tight, I'd love to know!!! Also, I'm used to wearing either a 34B or 32C which both give me quadboob, so this should be the right size. Emphasis on the "should." =]

helpfulIf the stretched measurement you listed here is the maximum amount it stretches and your ribcage measurement is tight it's too tight. You need to be able to breath. However, the size up might be too big on you, so I would suggest trying to get an extender to wear it with at the start.
If it is just a tiny bit too tight in the band, that will stretch the cups and make the cups wider and shallower which might make them seem smaller than they really are.
You do have a small gap at the wires in the front. I don't know if it's because your body doesn't conform well enough to the cups, or if it's just the wires not going all the way through the channels there. Try to push the wires all the way to the front, that might help with the slight gaping and get a better fit and support.
I'm one of those that usually say that you should go for the tightest one you can fit, but the tightest one you can fit in and can breath in.
Also, do you scoop all the breast tissue in the cups?
I definitly think this is a quite good fit, at this point it's just some tiny tweekings and about finding the perfect style on you.
Also, about Parfait... Some bands are tight so you might want to go up a band size, while some are normal. So, in general you might want to try 34 in the super tight versions, but 30 or 32 in the loose.
And, moulded bras... From Victoria's secret you're most likely used to the moulded bras. However, those have a shape already and doesn't adapt to the body well at all. This basicly means that if the bra doesn't have a shape that's the same as yours you might have trouble finding a good fit. If you wear a bra in the wrong size a moulded bra will mask it better, but in the right size it's harder to fit.
Because of that going for bras with a seamed cup, padded or non-padded might be easier to fit, as these adapt better to your shape. They are usually harder to find in the US, but it might be worth trying as well, and for the moulded ones, if you still find some odd gaping after the adjustements mentioned above, try a different brand. If you find your perfect moulded shape/brand, well, then everything will be easier as well.

Thank you so much! I can breathe in it and it's not uncomfortable until I notice the amount of "back fat" that it gives me - then I get a little uncomfortable. ;] That's good to know that it could be stretching the cup and making me think that the cup is smaller than it is! I will try pushing the wire all the way to the front, I'm glad you pointed that out because I didn't even notice it until I read this. I do scoop all of the tissue into the cup. Thank you for your suggestions!!!

helpfulCongratulations on trying to find new size
The band is too tight IMO, but I don't follow +0 inches rule (like most of German or Polish community of brafitters and bra designers).
Anyway, Parfait is supposed to make bands true to size, so having ribcage in 78cm, you could even try band 34.
When choosing band, don't go for the tightest you can fit in, choose the one which give your boobs enough support.
Is the center gore flat against your chest?Updated on October 14, 2012 Flag this

Thank you! Yes, the center gore is flat against my chest. For some reason center gores are ALWAYS flat against my chest, even in the bras that give me the worst quadboob, when everyone says that that's a sign of too-small cups. Anyway, thank you for your help and I think that I'm going to try a 32.

helpfulI think this bra is probably a size too small in te band and a size too large in the cup for you. I have it in a 30 and my torso measures an inch and a half smaller than yours, and even then I thought it was a tight fit when it was brand new. I have it in the nude color, so maybe there's a difference in the way the blue fits, but I'd imagine you'd be more comfortable in a 32. It looks like the wires are sitting half an inch too low, I suspect because the band is too tight. Are you scooping properly and lifting the wire into the crease? The cups look a little too big as well, but in the way the wire sits at the gore and the gapping at the cup itself. I think you probably need a 32D.
Edited to correct conversion fail.

I think that I'd be more comfortable in a 32 as well. Or at least with an extender, like Nesoa suggested. I scoop properly, but I didn't make an effort to lift the wire into the crease, so I'll do that today when I put it on again. Would a 32DD have around an 8-inch cup depth? Since this is a 30DD and it's a hair too big in the cups, wouldn't a 32DD just be that much bigger? Should I try a 32D, per the up one band size, down one cup size rule?
-
Oops, yes, should have said 32D. Maybe even 32C, but I'd think you can make the 32D fit pretty well and allow a little room for migration. I found this bra runs pretty true to size.
-
Thank you! Yes, I've read a few things about it being true to size or even the band running a bit tight, which I guess explains the 30.5 in stretching. I think that I'm going to return this and try the 32D. Bummer, because I have to wait for shipping. =[ hahaha.

helpfulThe 30DD doesn't look too far off.
Judging from the last image, the band looks fine to me. If it's comfortable, then don't bother going to a 32. If it's painful, then (of course) try a 32... or an extender with a 30.
Per the cups: it doesn't look like this is quite a full cup-size too big, but you could try a 30D and see how it fits.

Thanks for your input! The woman that I bought this off of is amazingly accommodating, so I'm going to try exchanging it for a 32D. The 30DD didn't feel uncomfortably tight, but it definitely gave me a lot of "back fat", an uncomfortable amount, and I don't have a very high body fat percentage. I guess I have a squishy torso so it didn't feel uncomfortable but the rolls would be on my mind while wearing the bra. I'm excited to see what you all think about the 32D!

VS bras actually mould to you, but the other way around with brands like Freya, Fantasie and Parfait which have a more rigid feel. Unless you're talking about any if their push ups which are quite thick. Vs lightly lined bras are super flexible in the foam and not very thick, it's easier to tell in those if you have a bad fit.
