Bra fitting help » Strapless Deco is way too big in the cups
Freya » Deco Moulded Strapless Bra (4233) » 34FF 34:8
Issue resolved
I exchanged the 34FF bra for a 34E, and I hope it will fit me this time
Original problem
The band fits (and it stays in place, OMG), but the cups are so large that I can fit my hands there. I will return this bra, but frankly don't know what should I order instead of the 34FF I bought. The cups are so big that I am considering going two or three cup sizes down. I can only order good bras online, and it takes two weeks for an order to arrive, so I really don't want to keep returning and returning and returning the bra. Can you guys help me? Which cup size should I go for? DD or E?

helpfulWhat does it look like when you attach the straps? This might help you get a better idea of how much too big it is. Have you also tried it with a stretchy t-shirt over the top?
It definitely doesn't look like you want to go smaller than an E, and an F might actually be OK. There is one 34F with measurements on here and a 32F (which would have the same cup size as a 34E) - perhaps you could compare the measurements with yours to get an idea of how much smaller they would be?
Do you have any other bras that fit you in the cup that you could help you decide?Updated on October 28, 2012 Flag this

helpfulThe Deco strapless is an odd bra that is hard to fit. Like the regular Deco it runs large in the cup. Your breast tissue needs to extend all up to the collarbone in a pretty much straight line from the nipple, or it won't fit. If your breast tissue doesn't extend as high up, you'll have issues. For some people going down in cupsize works, but for many this results in wires that are too narrow.
My suggestion would instead be to try the Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless in 34FF. Most women I know had far better success with this bra.

Hi! When I read your suggestion, I had already returned the bra to exchange for a 34E. However, I will follow your advice on the Wonderbra, as I have heard wonderful things about it and need to buy a black strapless anyway. The ultimate lace one is gorgeous!

helpfulI would try a 34F and a 34E honestly. It's amazing how small just one cup size too small looks, and the same with one cup size too big. I tried on a 32G (UK) once in a store (and it obviously didn't fit in the band) and it seemed at the time a good 4 cup sizes too big, but when I went down to a 32FF, it fit well in the cups. I would order more than one size or try some on in the store before you order again.
Also, you're scooping and swooping into the cups right?

Hi, thank you for helping me!
Yes, the pictures are after scooping. As for ordering more than one size of this bra, this is complicated for me; it can get pretty expensive because of the exchange rate, and my credit card bill goes through the roof. Going to a store is not an option, unfortunately :-( I live in Brazil and this place is a bra desert, all bras are B cups, and the only place that sells larger cups only goes up to D (DD on imported Wacoal bras, which are more expensive than this Freya was - including shipping rates).

helpfulIf you can, would be best to order both, and return the one that doesn't fit. Then you'll have the DD and E to compare, as sometimes trying them both on makes it easier to determine which fits best.
Otherwise, I would suggest comparing the measurements of a bra that fits you well with that of the 34F and 32F (same cup volume) strapless Deco reviews on here.
Probably a 34E would be better than a DD, but as the cups are so big, and downsizing would affect the underwire width, I can't say for sure.Updated on November 8, 2012 Flag this

Hi Wanda! I exchanged the bra for a 34E one, and am waiting for the arrival. I will pay attention to the underwire width, thank you!

helpfuli think that part of the problem with this bra (I own it too, and mine is massive just like yours!) is that there is no silicone on the top of the cups to hold them in place.
I also find it gives a very east-west look on me
I think if I were you, I would go for an E, but i personally am planning to try a fantasie smoothing strapless, as the Deco seems to hard to get the right size!

Hello! I went for an E, but it has not arrived yet. As for the silicone on the top of the cups, do you know any bras who have those? I'd be interested in trying one.

Hi Laura! The bra is a little bit better with the straps on, but not much. I didn't upload any pictures with the straps because I bought it to use without the straps most of the time, so I really needed it to look good as a strapless (I haven't had a strapless that fits me since the 1990s, when I was a teen and had smaller boobs, so I am pretty excited about having one).
I put a top (not to stretchy, though) over the bra and it looks round from the side (I can see the right size will give me a pretty nice shape), but the cups are 'too high'. Looks too big to be my breasts. I don't really know how to describe it, it feels strange.
I just compared my 34FF Curvy Kate Ella to the 32F strapless Deco, thanks for the tip! Cup width and length is slightly smaller in the Deco, but not much, I think it's what I'm looking for. Considering the measurements of this 32F/34E, I think that going for the DD cup would be overkill.
