Bra fitting help » Strange folding?
Freya » Deco Moulded Strapless Bra (4233) » 32FF 32:8
Issue resolved
I haven't really fixed it yet, but I feel like I got a lot of really good input. Thanks ladies. I'm going to try the different sizes and the totally different bra suggested.
Original problem
I bought this in the same size as my Deco Plunge with straps. At the time they all seemed to fit great. Lately they are all feeling as if the strap is maybe a tiny bit too big, and the cups are maybe too small (as the outside of the wires feel as if they are sitting on breast tissue, and the center gore is not quite flat. With the strapless I am getting this strange folding on the bottom of the cups. I'm guessing I need to try a 30gg, what do you all think?

helpfulI remember seeing complaints similar to this over on herroom.com a while ago. Freya's response was along the lines of the moulding in this bra is thin and stretchy and sometimes a heavier bust will get the creasing problem. They suggested the Fantasie Smoothing Strapless as an alternative for women who were having this problem due to it having a more robust design.
Does this come with detachable straps? If so I would try attaching them and see if the creasing goes away. If it doesn't then it could be orange in a glass effect and a different size might work ok.

helpfulI would definitely consider that. It seems like the problem you're describing is orange in a glass, that is, the cups wrinkle at the bottom because not all the breast tissue can settle to the bottom because the cup is too small. I don't remember if the Deco comes in that size, but good luck!

helpfulYep, looks to me like "orange in a glass"! Our ribcage measurements are almost the same, and looking at the stretched band measurements on the 30s here on Bratabase, it seems to me like half of them seem tight (~29") and the others seem perfect (~31"). The 32s on here seem to be right around 32" except for your specific bra, so unless you really prefer a snug band I'd stick with a 32. For me, if it's too tight I just get awful "back fat" and that's uncomfortable. Since your breast perimeter is 11" and the cup depth of the 32FF on here is 10" (your specific bra measured 9.5"), I'd recommend going one cup size up with a 32G. Now, I'm not too experienced with this but that's how I would navigate this crazy, confusing world if it was me in your shoes!
