Bra fitting help » Cups gaping at the top - too big or wrong cut for me

Issue resolved
I will return this bra, after I have persuaded myself that it is stupid to add another not-fitting bra to my collection. I think that push-up effect and a high center gore shall be on the top of my mental check list when buying bras in the future.
Original problem
The band fits fine but the cups gape at the top. I'm wondering if it's the cut of the bra or the size that's wrong for me.
I have very soft breasts that seems just to lay floating at the bottom and there by creating massive gaping, if I move my shoulders just a bit forward.
This bra is slightly better fitting than the chp cappucino in the same size for which I'm also requesting fitting advice. Actually I think it looks a little better on me in the pictures than it does in real life.
I don't think the gaping shows under clothes though but it can't be worn under (even not so) low cut tops. I am considering keeping this one anyway.

helpfulI do think you'll do best in a true halfcup bra. I think the plunges might make you fall through the middle - you need the higher gore with no doubt, and something with a bit more push up qualities. I think chp's are better suited for full on tops.
As for this one - going a cup down might help, but it also may create a quadboob in the middle - anyway no crime if you keep this one

If ewa michalak is your brand of choice, the styles that have push up qualitys are some pl's and some ch's - you can actually select the "push up" in the side bar. Ch's will work best for you I think.
As for the bra terminology, on some points there is no consensus. Id say that there are three basic cuts - fullcup, halfcup and plunge. And I'd say that balconettes and demi bras are halfcups. But some wouldn't agree.
So here's the reading :)

Thank you for clarifying. I don't think Ewa will be my band of choice. I think I just wanted it to be or wondered if it could be because so many large cup lingerie blogs rave about it. So far it has been Cleo that has given me the best bra experience.

I know, me too, because the sizing isn't that hard to tackle. But personally, I do find Ewas much more comfortable - it must be the padding on the wires. Also, the pl does create a shape similar to cleo, if only I had the money to pay for back and fort shipping so I could get the sizing right :/
I have to ask now - balconnets and halfcups - are they the same? I get confused. I definitely need some push up to compensate for my top-flatness.
