Bra fitting help » This is a 32E, think a 30G would fit?
Cleo » Jude (5846) » 32E 32:6
As you can see, the cups are definitely too small on this bra. This a 32E, any chance a 30G would fit or do you think the cups would still be too small?
My bust is 38", and my underbust is 30".
When I don't adjust myself into the cups I get back-fat and arm-pit fat. When I adjust myself into the bra, I get quadra-boob like crazy. (Included picture of both adjusted into cups, and not.)
I also don't fill the bottom of the cups, so I get wrinkling at the bottom.
Edit: I also had marked that the underwires hurt, I haven't worn the bra in a while so I forgot about that. They poke in the front of the bra into my breasts tissue. I think I must have really close-set breasts? My Decos even hurt in the front after I've been wearing them for a while. (Although with Decos it is more that the wires are laying on top of my breast tissue. With the Judes it is that ends of the wire are poking in my breast tissue.)
I don't have a problem with the straps. I don't know why that is marked as a problem.

helpfulThe Jude is a strange bra. It fits very few women correctly. I would not use it for sizing. I do not dare guess what size you need based upon those pictures. Pictures of your other bras might help, especially the Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless and the Freya Deco.
If you are looking for a bra that is a plunge, try the Panache Tango II Plunge bra (3256). This bra is also a bit capricious, but way better than the Jude. You can find it on ebay for cheap in various colours.

helpfulYou definitely need to go up a couple cup sizes.

helpfulThe Deco fits me in a 30G... and I need a 30GG/H in many Panache bras (30H in the one in question). If you are a 30FF in the Deco (you mentioned the 32F fit, but was loose in the band), try a 30GG in this bra. The 30G might also be okay. Try on both, if you can.

helpfulI had the exact same problem when I ordered the Jude bra. Panache tends to run a little small in the cups, in my experience. But the Jude line runs really, really, REALLY small in the cups.
It looks like you're more than one size off; I'd advise you to go up at least two sizes, maybe to a 32G. If you feel the band is riding up, you might also want to take it down a band size, but adjust the cup size accordingly!
Going up a couple sizes should solve the quadraboob, arm- and back-fat, and the underwire poking issues. It should also solve the problems you've attributed to having close-set breasts (I have the same problem, but the fact is that Jude's cups are pretty close together; you just need your breasts to be IN them for the underwire to lie flat!)
The one problem I'm not sure can be solved is the difficulty filling the bottoms of the cups. I've had this with a lot of Panache bras; I think they cinch in the bottoms of the cups for extra lift or whatever, but I find it uncomfortable. Still, going up a cup size might give you the room to fit your ladies in there!

helpfulI would say you would need to go up quite a few sizes. just from the amount of quad boob you have going on.

helpfulOur measurements are about the same, I'm about 29-30" underbust and previously owned 2 colors of the Jude. Sadly, it still gave me armpit fat, came up too high in the underarms and I couldn't entirely fill the bottom either!
Based on your good experience with the vertically seamed Ewa Michalak "Chp Groszki I Róze" I would suggest the Cleo Juna (http://bra.pe/MrQ/) instead of Jude. It's also a lightly padded vertical seam bra and may be a better starting point in 30G. I've found I need to go up a cup in the Juna (well, actually I have the patterned versions Rihanna and Sadie). See all the exact same cut/related styles and maybe start with a 30G then adjust as needed from there.

helpfulHi!
By the pics i think a 30G would be enough because you´ll take 2 sizes bigger in the cup. The problem with the underwire is more difficult: Perhaps the shape of the Cleo Jude doesn´t fit in your breast type but anyway if you get the size you can find a more comfortable bra of the same line.

helpfulI'd say a 30 gg would do, but I dont think that will get rid of some other fit issues like the gore or straps. so I'd say go with another style.

helpfulI actually wouldn't go with another Jude at all--I've tried that bra on before in lots of sizes and noticed that there's only one shape that works for this bra: bottom heavy and VERY far apart. Which is funny considering it's a plunge. It seems to me that your shape may not be compatible... your breasts seem close-together and evenly-spread.
Although some of your issues seem to be mostly size problems, I think that the style contributes more than you think. For example, the quadraboob is a common problem for this bra. The center gore is characteristically wide. The wires are short and don't hold in all of the boob... etc.

helpfulYou'd definitely be okay in a 30G. I have the same measurements as you, and I had the same problems with 32Es. the 30G is a little bit on me, but I would definitely try it.

helpfulBased on your fitting information and measurements I would say you'd fit a 30 band much better. The bra presses into your breast tissue because the cups are much too small. I would say to go up at least two cup sizes.
32E to 32G
and as you would need to go down a band size that would make it a 30GG. Going down a band size may fix problems with your straps, and pull the bra closer to your chest (perhaps solving other issues).
If the bra does not seem like it fits after this, try the sizes above and below 30GG (30G + 30H) .. or try another style that fits your body shape better. The bra seems pretty wide on your chest even though you have close breasts.Updated on November 22, 2012 Flag this

helpfulI had the same problems in the Jude- I was super disappointed, 'cause it looks so cute in the pictures. But the cup sizes run VERY shallow; quadraboob up the wazoo for those of us with boobs that aren't shaped that way. It's not a very forgiving bra. I'd guess that a 30G probably wouldn't be big enough in the cups :/
I had similar problems with the Deco when I was wearing a too-small size; are you sure that you've got the right cups? Going up a cup size should prevent the gore from stabbing your breast tissue. (Though some bras will just stab your sternum instead. Sigh.) Both the Jude and Deco also have pretty stiff underwires- maybe try a bra with more flexible underwires?
Or you could try the Deco softcup bra they just came out with! It looks pretty shapely in the pictures, and is nice and smooth and T-shirt-bra-y. I'd really love to hear how that goes! If you have a good experience, I'll go bug Freya to make it in my size too :3
