Issue resolved
I decided to order the 30H and am now waiting on it. Thanks for all your suggestions.
Original problem
I ordered this bra (Panache Sophie nursing bra) in a 30J initially. I was wearing a 32H in another bra so I thought 30HH->bumped up to 30J because the reviews said the Sophie ran small. It was too big but not by a lot, so I sent it back for a 30HH but they screwed up and sent me a 32HH, which just came in yesterday. I have to send it back again, but I'm not sure anymore if I should go down one cup size or two (or even more?) How do I tell how many cup sizes to go down?
Upon studying it, the fit reminds me of my Royce Charlotte which is also too big--the sides are too far back along the sides of my breasts, and there's room at the top that I'm not filling, and it wrinkles at the bottom a bit, but it's not RIDICULOUS. Like under clothes you probably couldn't tell. I can fit the flat fingers of my hand under the bra above my breast on the larger side. I am still nursing so need a little flexibility, but I don't tend to get too full anymore. Thoughts?

helpfulAs owner of 2x of the support version of this bra my experience is that Sophie's cups run about at least 1 letter size small. Personally, I was most intrigued by trying on 2 sizes where the "bigger" size was tighter around my ribcage and provided an overall better fit when combined with more material support from the larger cups. Is it correct to say you seem mostly comfy with the 32-band? If at all possible I would highly recommend trying both 32H & 30HH OR 32GG & 32H. These 32HH cups look far too large but you do need to stay supported & comfortable. I've currently no reason to own a nursing bra but I would suspect it's even more important to be fit right than ever! As strange as it sounds in my experience I thought non-underwire bras were the best to try simultaneously in different sizes.
Hope this helps somewhat!

Totally understandable wanting to order 1 at a time. I would say "Yes!" to 2-cup sizes smaller and would recommend a 30H: 2 cups smaller, 1 band smaller. I spent a while trying to figure out a proper size range since you haven't any bras listed that actually fit. And trying to pay special attention since you're nursing.
I'd tell you the best part about finding your proper size in these Panache bras is that after Sophie you will highly likely fit Lorna and/or Alisha exactly the same. A Panache rep told me they all have the same cut/fit. :)

helpfulThe 32 definitely looks too big. I seems from the side picture that the band is riding up on the back.
Going down a band size will decrease the cup a bit, so on top of that I'd try one cup down: 30H - That might be a much better fit and it seems that the straps have a long way to adjust still, so you could play with that if they're still a bit big and will give you room for size changes if you're still nursing.

Thanks for your response. I'm not happy with the 32 band. It is not what I wanted. I wanted a 30 and they sent me the wrong band size.
My problem here is I literally do not know how to tell how many cup sizes to go down. My bra buying experience has always been that they are too small and so I keep going up in sizes until I get the right size, so I haven't had any experience in sizing down. Your saying it looks far too large makes me think I need to go down at least 2 sizes. I don't think I want to deal with the hassle of trying to send this bra back in exchange for 2 others, but I'll bear your point about soft-cup bras in mind for future orders (planning on placing one soon here).
