Bra fitting help » More side bulging - short underwire?

Issue resolved
Will try bras with wider cup in size 36G/GG.
Original problem
Thank you for all the comments you've given to my previous issue with the Fauve Celine (http://bratabase.com/troubleshoot/dhltu/)
I just want to confirm if the short underwire is also a problem with this bra? When I scoop the breast tissue to the cup, the cup is enough, but after raising arms couple of times the breast tissue starts to slide to the sides and the top of the cup gets empty.
I really like how the Masquerade bras look - is there any similar looking bras with different design?

helpfulI think your band might actually be too big AND cup too small. The wires are too narrow rather than too short. Your breast tissue extends further into the armpit than the cup does. When you scoop it in and stand still it looks like a fit, but as soon as you move the tissue moves back to its own point of attachment.
If the bra band stretches to 42 inches, then that is a really big stretchy 38.
Go down a band size and up at least two cup sizes, maybe 3. The larger cup will be wider and therefore have room for your whole breast. The smaller band will help to keep it all in place.
Since this is a 38E, you should try a 36F or FF. All of your listed bras are 38 and none of them fit you. I see that your underbust measures almost 40 inches, but you have a lot of squishy fat on your rib cage (as do I.) Fat compresses, so someone with a fatty rib cage need a bra band smaller than their measure, in order for it to be stable.
As always, I also suggest trying more seamed cups and fewer contour cups. Good luck!

Hm, you might then want to stick with 38 bands, but go for a brand with a wider cup, in a larger cup size. Panache makes cups that are wide and shallow, and so does Chantelle, so does Wacoal.
I think you would be better off though getting a 36 and wearing an extender when it is uncomfortable.
Actually, come to think of it, I think you should try Cacique. They are a plus-sized brand and I suggest them because they have wide back bands. Masquerade back bands are narrow. Cacique back bands can be very wide- they have a back-smoothing one that is very wide indeed- and that helps diffuse force so the bra digs in less.

If you mean Cacique by Lane Bryant, they only go to 36DDD which is a cup size too small for me. I have recently bought a Freya Deco sized 36G that fits me.

I don't know where you are getting your information, but Cacique goes up to H. I'm glad you found a Deco that fits you. Keep in mind that they are known for having very large, stretchy bands, so you are probably a 38.

Yes, I do measure 38.5 in underbust, yet all my 38 band bras I currently own are too big in the band due to weight loss. I have fat around my ribcage so I need a snug fit, and 38 is way too loose for it. With the Dutch bra Beautifull, I can even wear 34-band bras.

helpfulIt looks to me that you may need to go up in band size or cup size. It's possible that this isn't a good style for you though.

Band size is OK - I wear 38 normally, and this can be stretched 42 inches. As I mentioned on the text, cups are properly full right after scooping, but the breast tissue then slides out of the cups when I move my arms. I think going up a cup size would result just top of the cups being empty, even if the side bulging could be prevented.

Only thing I'm worried is that 36 band will dig in and will be uncomfortable to wear for extended time - I have had that same problem with some of the 38 band bras when I bought them new.
I normally wear 38F (this was a gift from my bf for Christmas, and he had spied on some of my old bras that were wrong size). According the Ewa Michalak's conversion chart, 38F converts to 36G - I wonder if I should go for that?
I do agree that the molded cups aren't really my thing. I've gotten best results with bras with some padding (like Fauve Lucia) that have vertical seams on the cup. I have some soft cups, but they don't offer enough lift for me.
