Bra fitting help » Serious Quadboob. Go up 1 cup size, or 2?
Panache » Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675) » 38GG 38:10
Issue resolved
Got a bigger cup.
Original problem
This bra cup (38GG) is clearly too small. Bra is a full cup and looks more like a balconnet.
The wires in the center are against my sternum, but on the sides are too far forward and poke me.
But should I go up 1 cup size or 2? Will that increase the band size at all? The band fits pretty well. I wouldn't want to go any bigger or smaller.
Thanks for the help!

helpful38J for you.
Yep, that's right - 3 cups up. Even if it is a tiny bit too big, lace will acomodate to your shape and you will get better uplift in a larger size. The wider wires might make the band feel a tad looser - you could try the 36j - but I think it might be too small or become too small very fast due to migration.
Larger sizes might even solve underarm poking because the wires will be much wider and will probably end far at back. If it does still poke you will have to make due because this is the only way you wil be able to accomodate all your breast tissue - the side boob too.
Now, on that note - I would like you to remeassure your brest perimeter - i think it should be arround 40cm or even more - you probably weren't sure how far back your boobs extended and what is boob and what is fluff
Putting right measures will help you get more accurate suggestions on Bradar.
I do think you are on the right track here - andorra is probably your best bet and will suit your shape great. You could also try the panache jasmine in 38h or hh - it runs one cup bigger than the andorra and it has a firmer band. However, i's not nearly as comfortable as andorra apart from the straps that are much better then ones on the andorra. You can find my reviews on both bras in 30j here on bratabase.Updated on December 16, 2012 Flag this

I looked at the Elomi Hermione, commented on it and arrived at the same conclusion - 38J. Glad that we both agree. :)

Okay, everyone seems to agree. Then I do to;)

You were right about remeasuring. When I put the tape where I thought the wires should be under the arm, it ended up closer to 40 cm. I will find this bra in a 38J and see if it fits. Thank you!

De nada :) Don't forget to enter your new measurments into bratabase :)
Edit: Oh I see you already did that :) keepis posted on your bra journey.

What about Curvy Kate? I ordered Emily in 38H and it fit horribly. I can take pictures, just wondering if it's even worth bothering with this brand at all after reading the football/upside down 7 shape posts on here.
-
Upside-down-7 only appears in CK if the cup is too small or you have a too deep shape. Curvy Kate is meant for a shallow shape, and if you don't belong to that shape, well, then you're going to get a bad fit, as with any brand...
-
mtblankus: Since I am reasonably sure that you need deep cups, Curvy Kate is not so good for you.
@Nesoa: very interesting observation that the upside-down 7 in CK is caused by a too shallow cup!!

helpfulNot sure if you really should go up 3 cup sizes. Maybe it would be wise to start with 2 for a starters But what I see on the pics is a kind of more dramatic form of how I looked myself in this (admittedly great) bra in a 30J.

Like me in 30j? :) if you saw me, would you put me in one size up or two if they existed? :)
-
It's you in the brown one and Alisa in the emerald one, right? Judging from the brown one and especially your bigger boob, I would say we almost look identical in this one;) A shame I didn't take pics of this 'bra adventure' so we really could compare.
EDIT:So yes, definitely the same size as me I guess and that would be around 1 1/2 size up.

hi everyone.... agree with vee (my trainer) :P ... i hope it would work out... but i believe she didnt show the pic from back and band... i think her band size need to revise also...her straps are not fitting right on her as well....
well first i got order this bra in 30 J but it was a real miss fit...quad boobs more than mtblankus..... then i change it with 32 HH as 30 H was out of stock....i got good cup but band was really miss fit ....
but i love this bra.... -
Gervaise - My thoughs exactly :) but if faced with a choice of nonexistant 30jj or 30k in andorra, I would probably go with K, so this is why I said 3 cups in thos case as the quadboob is more severe than ours :)
P.s. You have a priate message coming your way :) -
Vee: It would be interesting to see you in a 34J Andorra. You could use a rixie clip or something. Just for my curiosity lol.

I must just say I totally agree with everything Vee said. You look like I did in 32H. I now wear Andorra in 34J :)
