Bra fitting help » How many cup sizes too small? (Update!)

Issue resolved
Decided it was a good fit
Original problem
This is a PL Mak in a 28K, and I think it's a good fit. The band is very comfortable on the loosest hook. The cups are slightly too large when the push up pads are not in place (the pictures added are without pads), but with the pads in place it is a perfect fit. I think that a 28JJ would've been too small.
Do you all agree that it's a good fit? I think that for a plunge style I'd rather have cups that were a little bit too big than a little bit too small, and going up 2 cup sizes seems to have fixed the not-so-great shape that I got from the 28J PL Lilia. A third cupsize higher would definitely have been overkill!

helpfulAre you wearing it pulled high enough on your body? I think you are, but I'm not certain as it looks a little too big for you, and if it is pulled lower to compensate that could be bad!

Could you put the pads in and take a photo of that? :)
I've never seen Effuniak looking any close to pointy but here it does which confuses me a lot. It almost look like perky pointy in the second pic.
I also wonder if you asked them to give you higher wings and a lower gore because this is truly V-shaped and I absolutely love that! I also wonder how you asked them to make a special bra like this.
I remember Vee saying a thousand times Effuniak bras are forgiving. I agree. It doesn't look like the perfect shape, but it works. Is it comfortable? That's the only thing that really matters in the long run :)

It definitely is comfortable! It's a little bit pointy, but like you said, it's sort of perky-pointy, and I like it!
I didn't ask for higher wings or a lower gore specifically (well, I sort of asked for a lower gore since I was asking for a PL style).
For them to make a special bra I just emailed their customer service and said "I really love the look of the CHP Mak, but my breasts work better with lower gores. Would it be possible to have the Mak made in a PL style?" and they emailed back "What size would you like your PL Mak?" So... it worked! I don't know if they can do that for just any bra, but I imagine it was pretty easy for them to do with the Mak since it's such a basic with no lace or decoration on the cups.
Oh and I added pictures with the pads in!

Ah, thanks!
With the pads in the shape is even more perky and also your high on chestness is more visible. I like it!
If you on top of it think it's comfortable, keep it :)

You look awesome in this!

helpfulIt looks wonderful with the pads in! Does it irritate under your arms though? It looks a touch high. Still, glad you had success with this!

The wire gets a little bit pokey under my arm, but (so far) only if I'm sitting down. A hazard of being 5'3" with boobs that sit high on the chest! For some reason it's only under my right arm though, must be some way I'm sitting haha.

I'm guessing you get that problem a lot seeing how high on chest you are. The cups and the strap actually look more painful than the wires. You might consider Nesoas alteration - changing the strap position. With that adjustment I think it would be the perfect fit :)

It definitely is, I think! Like I said, it is definitely a little bit too big without the pads in (and this is emphasized by me having my arms forward to take the pictures). With the pads in, all the gaping that you can see in the photos goes away.
Really that means it's perfect for me, because my boobs are still growing a little! Also without the pads I still am not sure there's enough gaping to go down a whole cup size. I think it's like half a cup too big, and the pads compensate for that?
