Bra fitting help » Empty fabric on top of the cups - do I need a smaller size??
Panache » Fern Balconnet Bra (6291) » 30K 30:15
Issue resolved
I will try a 30JJ.
Original problem
I really like this bra. It felt supportive and I just love the band of it! It's broad with just the right amount of stretch, gives good support and minimizes back fat too.
But there is empty fabric on top of the cups. It's not that visible on my front picture but on the angle picture it's showing. Also that lace on top does stick out weirdly and does show under a tight top. I also think the wires are a bit too wide on this and I have a bit empty fabric on bottom of the cups and on the side.
I'm really surprised that this bra is too big because I read that it runs small and I sized up to 30K.
I already have adjusted the straps as short as possible.
Could I wear this bra in a 30JJ or would this probably be too small then?

helpfulIs there more wrinkling if you don't tighten the straps so much? If there's a considerable amount then I'd say try sizing down in the cups 1 size. It looks like the cups come up fairly high on the sides so I assume it should still fit fine on the sides if you size down.
If you add more pictures of what the bra looks like with the straps tightened to a comfortable length that would help determine if the cups are big enough that sizing down is possible.

I would give one cup size down a shot if you like the bra. From the looks of the amount of bagging you're getting I think it would work.

helpfulI think you could really try this in a 30JJ. But you just might get a slightly squarish shape, it is hard to predict. Look at the Ariza in profile on the smaller breast and you'll see what I mean.

So I will only know If I can erase this bra from my list if I at least give it a try in a 30JJ.
Some reviews stated that the Fern does run small & and some said that the Ariza does run a bit big in the cup. So it would be logical that I size up in Fern and go with my usual size in Ariza. But in my case I need to do the opposite. Mabye my breasts are just weird or these Panache bras are all wrong for me.

helpfulYou could def go down a cup size in this bra. It is very pretty though, and think it's, worth persevering to find one that fits
It's hard to have to guess the size, but without knowing the boob type of the reviewers, it's hard to say if you will fall victim to the same fit issues....Updated on January 9, 2013 Flag this
I have now added some more picture where I'm wearing the bra with the straps tightened to the middle only.
Now the bra suddently feels even less supportive and weirdly the band does now feel too big even!
Also there is more empty fabric on top.
It gives hardy any support at all I really think I'd need a smaller size to get enough support and a good shape.
