Bra fitting help » Too small, good baseline - How many cups up should I go?

Issue resolved
I agree that Crosssizing with Ewa Michalak may be a bit difficult due to size discrepancies. Thankyou all for your comments which have proved helpful. I will go for a 26G in my next order, fingers crossed and hope for the best =)
Original problem
I ordered this bra in the 26F and whilst the underband fits perfect, you can obviously see the cup is too small.
The centre gore does tack against my chest, but occasionally does not as the breasts push the underwire away (even with firm underband!)
Underwire does not extend around my breasts properly and lies on the breast tissue all around unfortunately (meaning coming out the sides too)
Allot of quadraboob when properly 'scooped in' and lots of nipple slip and very uncomfortable bulging all round!
I'm sure you can Imagine this is quite painful and I will be selling this otherwise lovely bra!
I just wanted some second opinions on how many cup sizes I should go up? Does this style run small?
Thankyou

helpfulMaking an educated guess I would say that you need 2-3 cups up.
Crosssizing with Ewa Michalak doesn't quite work as you are used to.
If a british 28FF almost fits, you but the band is too loose, you would normally/theoretically get a 26G. The cup would then be the same. But with Ewa the cup of a 55G is not equal to a 60FF, it is actually between a 60FF and 60G. That is why they gave you the advice to go down in cupsize. Add to this the problem that the different styles and models run large or small in cup and you are in quite a bind.
That said, I would go for a 55G as a good starting point.
(FYI, Panache will be bringing out 26 bands in the foreseeable future.)

helpfulYou're in a tough spot. If you really need a 26 band you're going to have a hard time experimenting in different styles and sizes. You might be better off trying on 28's and then sister sizing down to the 26. I think the "how many cup sizes..." question is impossible to answer accurately if it's more than one, and in your case it's probably at least two. It's a little difficult to even guess because it looks like you're leaning forward in all of the pictures you've uploaded, and in any plunge or demi style bra you're going to get spillage and quadraboob, even out fits perfectly.

Splish thankyou for the feedback.

helpfulIn your place I would try going two sizes up for the start, that's a serious spillage on the top, and if you're saying also the wires are to small all around the breasts.
I guess you can contact Effuniak customer service and ask for advice.

Thankyou I will endeavour to do this. I do wonder if the Plunge style simply doesn't suit, but we shall see after the size up.

helpfulYou have a 60FF on here that fits, why would you go 2 cups smaller with the 55? You would most likely need a 55FF-G (26FF-G) in this bra based on how it fits, your measurements, and the other sizes you currently wear. I don't have experience with this bra or brand, but they seem to be a hit or miss with what seems like most people needing to increase the cup size.
Just make sure you don't have the straps too tight as they take up the extra slack in cups that may be a little too big, so sometimes it can seem the cup is too small because of this. Your straps look a bit snug. Perhaps only one cup size up is all that's needed. You want to be able to fit a finger under them at your shoulder and slide it around, without having to really squeeze it in.

Hello HLAleo,
The 28FF Onyks was too big in the band which is why I ordered a smaller band in this style. I was advised to go down a cup regardless of band size for this bra, because plunge styles do not normally suit me.
Another EwaM bra (CH Biszkopty) was in the 26FF size and once again too small in the cup. I'm sure you can imagine this has left me a little confused.
The straps are very comfortable and I do not require to tighten them much at all thankfully (I am quite short, this can be an issue). No real breast weight on the straps of course and plenty of stretch, Perhaps this is a misdemeanor from the photos
From your experience, would you say that there is quite a bit of sizing difference between the different Ewa-Michalak styles?
The main problem I have is trying to gauge how many cup or band sizes up/down etc that I require as I'm not sure HOW much difference there could be between a 28ff-26f or 28ff-26ff for instance. (In this case, I was not expecting the size down in the band to effect the cup size quite as much as it did)
Overall, would you say that 26ff would be a good idea?
Thanks

Definitely at least a 26FF, probably a 26G if you say another Ewa bra was small in the cup at FF. I might even go up to a 26GG just for kicks. But alas, you don't have the luxury of returning bras at a 26 band.

Jillsas, I have recently discovered if you order through Big Bra Bar you can return sub 30 bands =) In which case I will try the G that you recommend thankyou.

As I mentioned above, I don't have experience with this brand, but a lot of people from what I've read of reviews usually size up a cup, and this depends on
style too. Whoever told you to go down a cup size when sizing down in the band as well was...basically...an idiot. You should learn a little about sister-
sizing. In most cases it works. If a 28FF was too big in the band but the cups fit fine, then there is no need to go to a 26FF because that's an entire cup
size smaller. 26G-28FF-30F-32E-34DD These all have the same cup volume (despite what some may say) provided they are the same style as well. In cheaper
brands there may be more similarities like underwire length and placement of cups, but generally it's close.
The difference between 28FF and 26F is the 28
has cups that are 2 cups bigger. The difference between 28FF and 26FF is the 28 has cups that are only 1 size bigger. Plunge styles can vary by brand. Some
brands call themselves a plunge when they're really more of a demi or even balcony. Other brands consider a plunge something that has very little center
coverage and a dinky center gore. This style is a full band with a higher center gore so the coverage is going to be more. I woud consider this bra to be more of a Demi - notice how the cups at the tops are a bit more straight across rather than turning down and angled in the center.
And going along with what Splish said about leaning forward, this could be exaggerating the fullness and spillage that's happening. All in all, I believe you only need 2 cups up, not 3 (GG will be too big for you).
This particular style has removeable pads. Are you wearing them in these photos, or not? If you are, try taking them out, you may only need a cup size up if that's the case. Based on CurvyWordy's review of this bra, it stretches with wear, so if you ordered the G and it just fits, a month or two down the road it could end up being too large in the cup.
-
Woah, don't know where all those line breaks came from. Sorry about that!
-
Thankyou HLAleo i have always had a bit of trouble with sister sizing and you have explained it better than I have ever done =)
And I am not wearing the removable pads.

Thankyou, very happy to hear Panache are looking into 26 bands!
