Bra fitting help » Too wide cups + too large band + ???

Issue resolved
This actually was an easy fix! I just followed Vee's advice and bent the gore inwards. This fixed both the issue with the gore not laying flat against the sternum as well as the gaping in the middle.
Original problem
First of all, the band is too large; I can fasten it on the tightest hooks straight away...
The cup is weird on me. I’m almost spilling out of it at the top, but then I can’t quite fill it at the armpit side, and there’s also some gaping in the middle on my smaller breast (much more than it looks on the picture). The centre gore is far from sitting against the sternum – on the contrary it’s digging into my boobs. I can’t manage to get it to lay flat even by pulling on the band.
From the front it looks okay.
I’m not quite sure what’s wrong with this bra for my figure, in addition to the band. Do you think the problems would solve themselves when I just narrow down the band, or is there something else I could or should do? Or is it simply the wrong model for me and I’ve got no other option but to list it?

helpfulThe cup construction in chp and hp is different so no wonder one suits you and the other doesn't.
And it's really hard to say anything from ewas cup depth necause her bras have boob volume distributed more throughout the whole cup, so the deepest point of the bra doesn't really say much.
The gap on the sides is something that gets better with wear - the bra will comfom to your body after a while.
As for the gore, if you are keeping the bra, you should bend the wires to suit your shape better. This includes BENDING THE GORE inwards so it tacs your sternum. Ewas wires are superbendy so it's not hard to do. You just break the gore in on its middle wire by wire.
And last, as a proud owner of close set breasts, when I put on a bra, aftet scooping, I scoop away from the gore too. I never heard anyone takling about this but I believe it's very important.
If we all agree on no wires on breast policy, that also goes for the gore and my boobs can get caught up under it even if the gore tacs.
So scoop away from the gore! That will also make it tack better.
Hope it helps )Updated on February 13, 2013 Flag this

Impatient as I am, I decided to withdraw the listing as no one had yet expressed any interest. So I tried your tip to bend the gore (I didn't want to do that as long as the listing was ongoing, but wanted to keep the bra completely intact), and ohmigosh IT WORKED!
The fit is now a gazillion times better! No spilling (phew!), no gaping in the middle, the gore lays nice and flat... All in all it looks good, feels comfortable and supportive. I would NEVER have guessed such a tiny alteration could do such wonders!
I've still got some wrinkling on the sides, near my armpits, but that I certainly can live with. The band will also probably be too big in the very near future, but then I'll just have to narrow it down.
So it's not perfect, but it's definitely very wearable, and that's something I'd almost lost hope for already.
New pictures coming up!
And most importantly, THANK YOU VEE! :)

helpfuli think it's too small. the center gore is not flat. if you were to push this to your sternum, i think your boobs would overflow the cups.
This correlates with the measurements that you have entered of your perimeter and the depth of the cup. It is a very wide wires bra though - that is a bit crazy!

Hmm, I don't think it's too small, exactly. If I push the gore to my sternum, my smaller breast (currently with the gaping issue) fits in the cup much better than now, except for the armpit side. The larger one would indeed spill out on top were it even the slightest bit larger, but now it's just on the border. A cup size bigger would then most probably have been too big.
And then again I've got a CHP Mak (http://bra.pe/RB4k/) with pretty much the same cup depth which fits me very well? I'm pretty lost with these...
-
i agree that a whole cup size would have been too big! Could you use those push-up pads in the smaller side?
Honestly though, if the central gore doesn't touch your bone then it probably is not the right bra for you... as you say, the Mak is much better suited to your shape. This one just isn't giving you the right level of support :(
-
also, i think if you can't get the gore flat even if you pull the band and pull the gore around, then shortening the band won't help very much..
-
That's precisely what I fear :/ Sigh, I've been searching for a decent nude bra for ages...
It's just so disturbing when I can't even get my mind around what exactly is wrong with this.

it sucks. i guess just some bras don't work. :(

It's brand new, just tried on.

Ok, I asked because it seems very weird that brand new bra is so loose in the band. Oh Ewa and her bands...I will second cbear's opinion, maybe HP shape isn't good for you.
Sorry. it wasn't much help. Maybe someone with more experience will write something:) -
It IS weird! I had read it ran large in the band, so that's why I ordered a 65H and not a 70GG. I wouldn't have guessed I'd actually have needed a 60HH.. o_O

helpfulThe cups aren't deep enough for your breasts, which explains the gore squishing into your breast tissue. The fact the band is too large masks this, explaining some of the other issues (not quite filling it/gaping). I would definitely recommend sizing up a cup size (possibly even two) and down a back size.

Hmm, I'm a bit bewildered...
If I press the gore to my sternum, I don't (quite) spill out. It is very, very close for my right boob, but still, not quite. As for my left, smaller boob, the fit is instantly much better – good, even – after pressing the gore to my chest. Sizing up in a cup size thus seems a bit odd, wouldn't it then be already too big in the cup?

Oh! I actually thought bending the wires and scooping away from the gore were definite no-nos!
I decided to list this bra and try to find one that I don't have to alter right from the beginning, but if I get no luck on that front, I will definitely try your tips. Thank you very much!
