Issue resolved
I am going to try the Cleo Lucy. Probably in a few sizes, although Ive had another growth spurt! Thank you ladies!
Original problem
This is my first attempt at a well fitting bra after cramming myself into 32D's for the past few years! I honestly don't know if this bra fits, I fill the cups I think. The wires are very far back, i don't know if this is due to the size or it's incorrect?
Another thing the center gore keeps flipping over, so one wire digs right in, whilst the other lays on top of it.
The straps cut into my arms, that is my main problem with this bra, it feels like its slicing my arm off!
Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I have tried on a 28GG in Curvy Kate romance and I had ultimate quad boob! which lead me to decide that this fitted, now I am not too sure.
Thank you all in advance!
My current measurements are 27.6 inches under bust and 39.5 over bust

helpfulThe bra is definitely too big, the wires go too far back and the cup goes too far up your chest. That is also why it cuts into your arms, that is because of the too big wires.
How exactly did the quad boob look in 28GG? Because this is 1-2 Cups too big, something is odd about the sizes.Updated on February 18, 2013 Flag this

If your breasts are full on the top (like mine), CK unpadded bras will be too tight on the top - this is why it looks like a quad boob. Some of Freya unpadded bras will look the same (Pollyanna and her clones are OK).
Try some Cleo - the best unpadded bras in the world:)

Hi mrsfu. I have been looking at Cleo bras! is the sizing the same as curvy kate? :)

if the gore hurts, there are 2 things possible. If you haven't worn a bra that goes that high up before, your chest needs to get used to the light pressure, it will stop aching.
Or you gore is too wide for you, which means the wires are too distant from each other. That way they cut into your boobs on the inner side. Because of this they always ask if you boobs are close together or far apart :)CK indeed is not always the easiest choice. I too vote for Cleos. The band might be a bit tighter with them. Try Lucy and Marcie for a start.
For the wires: Make the test where you breast ends. Push your boob to the side under you arm, so that you can see where it ends, make a dot with some make up pencil (high enough that it will show also with a bra on) and you will see if the wires ends at the same point or is too wide or narrow :)
ah and: there are many different styles and shapes in bras. If one does fit in a size, that does never mean that the other one will fit too, even for the same brand. Like with Jeans, if one fits, the next doesnt, although same size and brand ;)
So it it totally normal if Romance makes a quadboob and Angel seem too big, although only one size bigger. You just haven't found your right style yet. -
Thank you so much! so stay with GGs? :) You have all given me sych great advise! thank you again :)

How about trying both sizes in one style to see the difference? :)

helpfulI had the same 'straps cutting into my arms' problem with all the Curvy Kate bras I've tried too, and I've written off the brand as being too wide-strapped for my frame.
I am by no means an expert but I see some wrinkling at the top and (I think) the bottom of the cup too, so I would try it in a 28GG. It's not listed as having the same cut as the CK Romance, so going down a cup size might have you fill in the cup more without quad-boob and possibly alleviate the straps cutting into your arm, and the center gore overlapping.

I haven't tried too many brands, but I currently own a Panache bra (Fern) and I don't have the straps/cup sides cutting in problem with it, although it's not a perfect fit either. I was also told to try Cleo and Freya bras by someone for this problem.

helpfulIt does look too big, but I too have had issues with Curvy Kate running too wide for my frame, even when the cups fit fine enough. Thin shoulders does not a Curvy Kate like.

I just felt compressed in the 28GG. After trying it on again I think that it is the better fit! The gore still feels although it presses into my boobs at the center. But this may be due to wearing the H for the past few days!
I have had very little success with freya bras also, What size would you recomend trying in those?
