Bra fitting help » Bigger cup?
Wacoal » Reveal Contour Bra (853115) » 36DD 36:5
This bra fits really great and I love the way it lifts my breasts up without any padding. However, as you can see, the cup size is way too small. 1) What size do you think I am currently? 2) Can I get away with wearing this one for a little while longer? 3) Any suggestions for bras that lift low hanging breasts up this high? Thanks in advance!

helpfulIt is difficult to tell, because it seems to be very far off. I can see in your pictures you focus more on the quadro-boob you get, but I don't think that is where the biggest trouble is.
I can't see where the underwire ends under your arm, but I am guessing it is resting on breast tissue.
Have you scooped in all your tissue? It seems like a lot is escaping the sides, also up near the straps, and that your breasts are not positioned too well in the cup.

^I believe this could make a huge difference for you.
Now, the breast perimeter and the depth of the cup ought to be similar. I find it incredible difficult to measure the perimeter accurately, but even when considering inaccursies, your bra only has a depth of 8.5", whereas you've listed your perimeter as 14". This clearly shows how far off it is to fit.
I just did a quick search on the bras here at bratabase, and checked out the average depth of a 36G, as that was my first guess, and that is 12.97", so that seems a lot more reasonable (the measured perimeter is often bigger than what you actually get in the bra)
I would suggest also using a calculator, to get a rough idea:
http://sophisticatedpair.com/bracalculator.htmGoing by the cute look of this bra, I think you would appreciate the Curvy Kate padded bras. In different colors, they can look either sexy or cute. I also find that they are good for those who worry they are doomed to practical-looking bras if they enter the DD+ ranges
In regards to if you can get by in this bra for a little longer, I would say, the sooner you get a new, the better!

helpfulI just wanted to chime in and say that it looks like the band on this bra is too big. I know your measurements say 37 inches and that makes a 36 the right band, but you're having all the signs of a band that's too big. Is that ribcage measurement with arms at your sides, all the way exhaled, and pulled very snug?
I'm not sure what cup size you should be in (definitely bigger!,) but I think you ought to go down a band size when you go to the new cup size.
You also mention "low-hanging breasts." When I was wearing a band that was too big, I always thought I had saggy low-hanging boobs, but going down a few sizes in the band had them as perky as I ever wanted. I really suggest you try some 34 bands. Especially since bands tend to be stretchier the bigger the size is, so you can get away with smaller numbers than you measure at if you're a 36+Updated on November 9, 2012 Flag this

helpfulHi
Here are my two cents
If you look at the "wings" you have outside the bra, that's very probable to be your breasts It's most probably not just fat.
On me the part of my breasts I had in the bra has sagged down, while the rest part of my boobs is left in my armpits, on my back and under my arms. All is breasts. I'm also very high on chest and have a hard time getting lift. Ewa Michalak works the best for me though
But too small bras cuts your breasts off so we often won't know it's actually breasts that we force outside the bra.
My guess is you would need to size up about 5 cup sizes to contain all your boobs. At least
But I'm no expert. I just recognised a plus size boobs in a too small bra, since that I've certainly had myself
The plus size expert here is t_maia. I'm sure she'll dig in

helpfulSince Eliza called,
could you please let me know the following:
Underbust loose on skin
underbust as tight as possible
bust standing
bust bowed forward at 90 degree angle
bust flat on your backall without a bra and if possible in cms
Additionally your bust standing in this bra would be helpful.
If you give me this I can give you a very good estimate of your bra size. Just from your pictures I think that you might be in the 36FF/34G range, but it is hard to tell without some definite numbers.

helpfulI'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you're probably more of a 34 band.
With that being said, I would suggest trying a UK 34GG/H bra. You actually have a lot of options with that size.

helpfulEveryone else has already pretty much covered it!
But I'd just like to throw my vote out there for the Freya Deco bra. I find it really supportive, and it lifts the boobs up and forward without making them look pointy or artificial. I think it would probably give you the shape you're looking for!
Unfortunately I'm a little too small in the band and big in the cups to wear them anymore. It was a great loss for me
I'd recommend giving it a try, though. I checked your profile and it looks like you don't have measurements up, so I can't give a reliable estimate, but I'd say maybe 32 or 34 G ish?
They also make a really great strapless, though, which runs snugger in the band and big in the cups; it fits me just about right in a 30GG. And they've just started making a line of Deco softcup bras

helpfulIt looks like the gore doesn't sit flat on your sternum, so either the band is too big, or the cups are so small they drag the gore out from the body.
I think you should try bigger cups and then check if the band is good or too loose.
The right size will look even better.
Actually any well fitted bra will lift your bust. Try various models, you'll see what shape you like the best.

helpfulI would start by re-measuring yourself and plugging it into the http://www.butterflycollection.ca/bra-size-calculator/ it's fantastic. I would put you at a GG or H but it's definitely hard to tell in a poorly fitting bra, good luck and feel free to respond with further questions!

I've had a similar experience with Wacoal, and I regret to say that they just don't make a big enough cup to fit our girls. I have a 36G that is okay-ish (it's really too big in the band), but G is as big as this brand goes, so there's no point in trying to size down. Based on your pics, I'd be surprised if the 36 would be small enough for you regardless of cup. And I'd put money on a cup size of GG+. Would love to hear updates as you find better fitting bras.
