Issue resolved
So much useful information! It led me to by some other brands in other sizes, and I am close to figuring all this out as a result. Worth reading through the comments just for the great info!
Original problem
Sorry to make two posts in a row... I just really need to get more bras soon! This is literally the only one I have that fits at all.
Kris Line is my favorite brand (although I'm looking forward to trying Ewa and Comexia), and I'm thinking this just fits, right? Should I order more from them in this size? I just got it and am on the tightest hook already, but I seem to recall that their bras don't stretch much, and they don't have a lot of bras in 28 with K+ cup sizes, so if I can go with 30K as a default, that would be fantastic. The center gore is just slightly away from my sternum, too... Urgh. Am I being overly optimistic? I have worn it several times now and felt comfortable. Thank you so much!

helpfulIs it possible to try a cup size up? Even trying a 70K would be informative: It sort of looks like you have some side quadraboob and are inadequately scooped. The failure of the gore to lay flat is not a good sign, especially if the rest of the bra has so many little issues. I know your band is sliding up, but it's easier to mod the band down than it is to alter the bra to be bigger.

From what I understand Kris Line uses EU cup standard which makes a EU K-cup something way smaller than a UK K-cup? Abcdefghijk is not abcdddefffggghhhjjjk
-
Btw t_maia also have said some times the center gore in Kris Line is "made to float".
-
I agree that this looks like at least one cupsize too small. At the same time you got empty space near the wires, which can be an indication that you haven't put on the bra correctly.
As for size, a 65K with Krisline is roughly equal to a 30HH with UK sizes. So you are not exactly at the end of the spectrum.
Krisline will bring out the Consuela later this year, this will go up to an O-cup which will equal a British K-cup.
Yes, I said the center gores of Krisline bras have a tendency to float, but with the right women in the bra they can sit flat. I think this bra would work better if it was one cupsize up.

t_maia: Thanks, then I understand much better :)

Thank you all so much for your responses. I apologize for not coming back sooner; I had a family emergency and had to leave town somewhat suddenly for most of this week.
@Never - unfortunately, I got this in an online clearance and they are out of larger sizes, assuming they existed in the first place. I think you are right, though, and after I tried it on again using the scoop and swoop(?) method it was noticeably too small. So you're definitely right, thanks.
@Vlatka - Curvy Wordy does seem similarly sized to me, actually, and I've been enjoying reading through her blog since you mentioned her. Once I did the scoop and swoop in this bra, it fit very similarly to the ones in the out you linked to - it might have even bit a little bit more too small. Urgh. So maybe 30KK in Ewa is the answer after all?
@Eliza and t_maia - Huh, that's interesting. I now my UK 30J bras are quite a bit too small (I can post pics in a Curvy Kate 30J if that would be helpful?), so I'm not really sure how they relate. All of my previous bras from whatever companies were at 30J, and they're varying degrees of too small at this point. I did get this bra from a US retailer, and it's just labeled "Kris" instead of "Kris Line" - I assumed they were the same, but maybe the sizing is different? Certainly the band isn't running small; if anything, it's slightly larger than I expected. Sorry if this is seeming long-winded; I'm just intrigued about this whole sizing issue. In any case, thank you SO MUCH for all your input. I am learning a ton from all of you!

Also, @Vlatka - yay for being boob buddies! I have never known anyone whose boobs looked like mine before. :)
Actually, speaking of boob twins, I found a user whose boobs seem to be a similar shape and size to mine (not that it's solo easy to tell in pictures, but still), and the 30JJ Dotty Spot Bra fits her and has a bunch of "these will also fit" listings, so I was thinking of trying to use those as guidelines? It lists a bunch of Ewas in sizes ranging from 70K to 80J, which I am assuming is due to inconsistencies in the brand? Oy. So much to figure out! Oh, and that same bra fits CurvyWordy, too! So maybe a good bet to start from? Is there a way to see other users' measurements? I would love to compare with people.

Well, there are still a lot of problems with suggestions, mostly due to bad measurring. First things first - I think you should remeasure yourself. :)
Now, the biggest thing is to measure your breast perimeter accurately. Thing I found helpful was - cup your brest withone hand and push it a bit to the side under your arm - then you see where the tissue ends.
Now, the best advice I could give you is - if you think you are similar in size and shape as some blogger, order the exact same bra in the exact same size as her and see where you stand.
This is how I figured out I was 2 cups down from curvy wordy :)
And as I am similar in shape - I now know what bras will work.
Note that Curvy wordy takes ewas pl's in 30KK.
I think bras and bodyimage is the one that listed dotty in 30JJ to fit her. Here is her blog.
http://brasandbodyimage.wordpress.com/
As for your boobies, I think you might be actually one cup down from curvy wordy - I do think bras and body image is too - it doesn't cut into her like curvy wordy.
Anyway - we can't still see eachothers measurments. However, I would reccomend you open a bra adventure and state your measurments, and call all users with similar ones.
I think you might be up there somewhere in boob volume near alisa and gervaise, or a cup up from me :)
Here are my boobs in a bra equaly too small as the one you are wearing :D
http://www.bratabase.com/browse/bravissimo/boudoir-beau-pa07/30HH/
I'm 72 - 77 cm underbust, 103 - 105 overbust in a bra, and my perimeter is about 37.5 - 38 cm. -
cellosubmarine: it is commonly known that Krisline runs small in the cup. The reason is that the cups increase by 2 cms each, while British brands like Fantasie, Curvy Kate increase by 2.54 cms (one inch) each. I normally wear a 40HH with Panache, I tried the Krisline Brilliant in 90HH (40HH) and it was much too small, by about 2-3 cupsizes. In the Brilliant I got approx. the same quadboob I would get from a Panache in 40G.
It would be very nice if you could post some fitting requests/pictures of yourself in your current 30J bras, maybe we can come up with some suggestions of bras you could try.
It would also be good if we could compare the Krisline Brilliant to some other bras you own, not just in data but in picures, if you don't mind. This way we all learn about the different bras and their shapes.

Hi again! Very busy with work for the last week, but I have been looking forward to dialoguing some more with you both, and I apologize for the delay and thank you for your responses. I think I am going to order a bra in Bras and Bodyimage's size (and I love her blog, thanks!), and I also posted a picture in a 30J Curvy Kate in fitting help for comparison's sake. I also posted a bra adventure complete with revised measurements, as suggested. So hopefully this will help create a more accurate picture of things.
My 30J bras are all so much too small (see the Curvy Kate posting) that I don't know of how much help they would be to anyone in pictures, but if it would be good for the community, I can give it a shot. Please check out the Curvy Kate one and then let me know if you would like me to post more. I literally don't have a single bra that fits at the moment, so comparisons are sort of weird at this point. I should have gotten new ones ages ago, but I was just too broke. :(
Anyway, I really, really appreciate the input, and I look forward to hopefully eventually being as helpful for others as you both have been to me.
-
P.S. After wearing this bra more, the band is definitely too big. :(
-
I think size wise you should go to 30K or 32K UK sizing straight away depending on how tight a band you want. I'd say 30K to 30KK actually is the closest to your size. 30JJ and 32J might work in some cases but I think probably a 30K is closer for you.
-
I am leaning that way (30K), although I did order the Alexa in 30J because Vlatka recommended it and she seems to know what she's talking about waaaay more than I do. :) Planning on ordering something in 30K to compare, just not sure what would be the best basic bra to do so with. What would you suggest? Anything other than Panache. :)

I would actually still suggest Panache but the new Jasmine. Or Ewa Michalak. And stay away from anything with a tight upper section :) No Freya :)
So I agree with Vlatka, only I'm worried about you being outsized of Cleo :)
-
I REALLY want Ewa bras, I just am trying to get a basic size worked out first because the process of returning her stuff is really difficult from here - I spent close to $50 in shipping costs on my last batch, and they never even got to her. :( I'm actually planning on listing them on here soon. But yeah, can't wait to try hers once I figure out my basic size needs. I will look at the Jasmine in the meantime, thanks. :)
-
alexa runs bigger in the cups than your usual J cup and even if it's a tad too small you will probably be able to get away with it because of the cut. Soon I'll put up pics of my 30J panache jasmine so maybe you'll change your mind about that one :) Maybe bravissimo broderie or boudoir beau in 30K? They should have arround 38 cm depth - so depending on how accurate you were in your meassuring, it could be perfect or too big :) alana runs a cupsize smaller so 30kk then
-
Ewas bras are funny that way even when they are cupsize too small or too big they are wearable. :) I think you should go for the 30K plunge there also. wait for the alexa to come in and if it fits, you should be fine in a 30K ewa pl. So basiclly, ewas pl's should be two cups up from your cleo size, and chp's one cup up
-
So. Helpful. Seriously. Thank you. I'm so excited to have bras that fit again soon!
-
Okay, Vlatka & Eliza, I heard the call;)
@Cellosubmarine, from the look of you in the CK Princess, I would say you are at least a cupsize bigger than me, although our measurements are almost identical. I guess you (like Vlatka) have a stronger projection than me, because I am wider rooted - but like me you look rather close-set as well. And like me you look both full on top & on bottom. I have a Curvy Kate Emily in 30JJ, but that's rather strange fit. Too small and too big at the same time. I read the Emily has deeper cups than most CK styles, but I guess you would at least need a 30K in that one. I own the Panache in a 30JJ, but I have some gaping on my smaller side, but I guess it's an okay fit for my bigger one;) You could try a 30K. But I honestly hope it will be big enough for you. I will add some pictures of both styles bra tomorrow. -
Gervaise! Oh how I look forward to your pictures! :)
-
eliza, I am there now. Now you can judge me;)Bad pics though, taken with a cheap tablet Ipad clone. I've ordered a 'real' camera for clearer quality, because my old one went to camera heaven.
-
Ha! I knew we should be wearing the same size :)))
I think you might be just a bit more bottom heavy than me? -
You could be right. I first thought I was full on top. But on some bras like the CK Emily my nipples sit too high - while when I am naked they sit pretty low;) And my left boob is often suffering from orange in a glass like thingies. But on for example Bravissimo styles the bottom sections are much too long for me, and the upper section too shallow. Difficult, difficult...
By the way, my PL Toffik in 60K is on its way. I looked again for you on Ewa's site and checked if the one in 30JJ was back again, but alas, no. -
Gervaise: I'd say you're higher on chest than your bras. Try to lift in the upper middle of the cup as if it had center pull straps. On the Emily you would ideally need to size up by this method but then the wires would be too wide. I've come to the conclusion this is what probably happens to brasihate as well. The bras ends up too small on top because of too little bottom tissue compared to upper tissue. I think we have judged her too harshly, because she after all needs to fit her bottom section to get any lift. That's why Bravissimo is not good for either of you.
@Vlatka: I've been thinking about this other explanation for brasihate for about a week and I think it adds up since she was the only one I ever saw mentioning being better of in shallow bottom sections and "just fit the bottom and let the top fit itself". Her and mine nipples are at the same spot while yours are way higher. Having more upper breast but still being firm will make bras like Rhea ideal while it on you would be the wrong shape.
@Gervaise: I think Cleo would work for you for all the reasons I've just given since you do not want the purple shape by brasihate. Please measure your boobs by my last bra adventure and we'll get the answers XD
-
Breasts with more upper breast tissue I think will look a little like others boobs turned upside down.
-
Not sure about your explanation... I think her review of antoinette/amy in different sizes kind of defits it :)

@Vlatka: Ah you're right. She says it right out there! I now have to look again on her when she compares two Cleo bras in different sizes. We will have to get her here to measure XD But definitely we're kind of rude talking about her like this because after all she can read and I for one would not like our discussions if I were her.
Brasihate: Sorry I think we are just having a crush on your boobs XD
-
@Vlatka: Here! Her boobs in the bigger bras basically "flips over", point down, she gets no lift. Boobs looks sad.
-
I love her boobs :blush::)
-
eliza, I guess I would need alter the straps position to accomplish that? However I can't bear too tight straps, and sizing up would make my smaller side probably make gape more.
I will add my measurements in your braboratory. I am curious what will be the result:)
Regarding BrasIhate, I think she's generally wearing cups that are too shallow just under the straps. But she has great boobs, and I love her blog and always look forward to her her bra alterations posts. -
Gervaise: Yup exactly. This is why I want a corset bra :D Not like a longline but with a laced up back and boning and wires :D MilkAndHoney have promised one day I'll have that :D
But even when straps altered they didn't need to be tight :) That's optional :) But I do think the Rhea should fit you in 34H and altered down :D (I'm just jealous of everyone fitting into that :D)

Vee Look XD http://brasihate.blogspot.se/2012/12/bravissimo-rococo-charm-ivoryice-pink.html?m=0 I wonder if she has seen our conversations lol

It is so interesting reading all your postings! Sorry I have been absent. The Cleo Alexa has arrived and I am going to post a fit request on it - it's almost right! Would love to hear your suggestions over there. And thanks again for everything!

helpfulI'm a newbie, so don't trust me too much on this.
In the first two pictures, it looks pretty good to me, albeit I'm not sure if that's what the underwire in the middle is supposed to look like on larger busts or if that's floating. The angled picture looks good. But in the last photo, it kinda looks like you're getting some quadboobing? In any case, I think you could do with a larger cup. Or it could also be the larger band doing weird things to the cups.

Thanks! I think you are definitely correct about it being a little too small. Urrrggggh. :)

helpfulI think you could try wider wires and would have better luck, in the next size up.

Thank you! Wider wires is the sort of thing I always forget to think about. :)
-
I agree with Never, this bra may be wearable, but I do think you could use a cup up. There is some cutting in and the upper part of the cup is smashing your boobs down. You should also try bras that allow more volume on top.
I think you might be better off in Ewa - this one may also have too wide wires for you.
Never tried any of kris lines bras but from what I hear they are supposed to run small in the band and cup?
Anyway, 30K would put you just a cupsize away from curvy wordy - hav you read her blog? Where do you put yourself size wise compaired to her?
This is her in 36HH - a sistersize of 30 K
http://www.curvywordy.com/2012/01/kris-line-jasmine.html
Now she takes 30KK in PL bras - you might not need a 30K then?
Your boobs actually look a lot like mine :)
