Issue resolved
I'm going to try a 30JJ.
Original problem
I'm in love with this bra! It's almost perfect so I want to get it right. The cups are little too small although I can "hide" it with that stretchy lace on top. If the lace was not strechy it would give me quadraboob. So should I go for a 30JJ?
I'm a bit paranoid about buying bras too small so I could use some advice.

helpfulThis is what I call a slight quadboob I personally can live with if I can't bare to part with the bra
Bras I hate would probably say this is a perfect fit.
I do think the question is what do you feel comfortable with and what do you want from this bra - I dont think it will work in pms that well.
However, we don't know how the construction changes with size - i do think this one would be less forgiving in a size up than the andorra because of the sturdy fabric used.
Do you feel there's enough tissue oudside the cup that would justify going up in size?Updated on November 10, 2012 Flag this

Oh I thought you scooped but the tissue escaped. The sideboob should be in the cup. You should try to scoop there and see what happens. If the quadboob gets worse, you could probably need a cup up.
Why do you think your boobs will grow more? -
I also believe that you're most likely inbetween sizes. This one is definitly too small in the cups, so I personally wouldn't keep it, atleast not for everyday use, but you might not be able to fill out a larger cup size.
As it's Panache bra and you're already way above a G-cup you probably don't need to worry about construction changes based on size, and it really looks like a good shape on you, so trying a larger size might still be worth it.
Depending on if you're growing or might have tissue migration, a larger cup size with a tiny bit of spare room might even be good as it would help filling it out soon anyway, but it depends on where you're at.

Ok I tried it on again. Now I really scooped all breast tissue from the side into the cups. Then I got slight (really not severe) quadraboob on both breasts. Then when I adjust the lace on top the centergore now pulls like 0.5cm away from the sternum! Thats a sign that it's really to small, isn't it. I also feel not so comfortable at all. I mean I think this could really be a great bra for me but the size is not quite right. Then I compared it to 30J Andorra, which is now to small on me and as you can see on the pictures those two are quite similar in size and shape. Now I think I’m just between 30J and 30JJ in this bra. I think I send this one back and try a 30JJ.
About growing… I don’t really know… But I was a bit worried that I went up 1 cup size in about 5 weeks! I don’t know if this is normal due to breast migration. I don’t plan on gaining weight and as soon as my new sports bra arrives I will exercise again (and hopefully loose a few pounds) I really hope that my bra size will somehow settle. I know I might need different sizes in different brands but I don’t want to buy new bras every month. -
If the center gore pulls away like that you should be able to wear a cup size up, unless the size difference between the cups are huge, so try it! And let's keep our fingers crossed it works for you.
Going up a cup size in five weeks isn't strange if you have started to wear the right size... I don't know how old you are, if you're on any hormons etc, but growing at some sort of level isn't that odd either, but hopefully it settles once you're in good bras in the right size and have got to a weight that is stable (thinking of your new excercise plans here) everything should hopefully level out. :)

I'm wearing fitting bras since May 2012 but I have also experimented with a lot of sizes so I'm not sure If I wore really the right size then. I feel like I'm really wearing fitting bras since I've been a member of bratabase. I'm 25 and I'm not on any hormons. I had a lot of weight fluctuations in the past (most due to extreme dieting which I don't do anymore) but since 2 years my weight is quite stable (+/- a few pounds)

Lol @Vlatka at the comparing to brasihate. I thought about that one as well :D This is so her :D
Now; I would size up, but I wonder if that would mess up the straps so that you would need to alter them? Just to be sure.
I would always keep both the sizes and then you could pass it on to Vlatka anyway :D
-
While I'm at it, the Deco you tried once upon a time, I would say that one was probably too small so the soft breasts problem were worsened. That's why EM suggests going up in 2 cup sizes in PL if you have soft breasts. #nerding

Well, I think you got your answer. I am curious how big a difference is between cupsizes. Let us know how your recent orders go :)
Meanwhile, about BrasIhate... I love her blog and no nonsense aproach, it was what got me near my correct size in the first place. And I do love her boobs :)) (my boyfrend started to think Im a lesbian because of my staring at her blog:D)
Now, she does state that when inbetween sizes she rather goes for the smaller one, but sometimes I wonder...
For instance, i think every bra in this review is too small :) especially the rhea she declaires a perfect fit o.O

@Vlakta: Ohyes, For my taste her bras are too small, about 2 cup sizes. I remember when I thought of coverage as the boobs looking huge as well.
I also think I'm beginning to understand that boobs doesn't become footballs if they are not squished. Like you in the burgundy on the tightest hook!
I love her creativity and how she makes everything work the way she wants it to. A true branarchist; working her way around everything to make it work the way she wants it to and that's so cool! I think she has a lot of integrity.
But I sometimes feel sad when reading her blog because she seems to struggle a lot with body image. I remember her describing her youth, people really have been mean to her for her boobs, no wonder she has issues.
-
Well, thats basicly my story too, so I can really relate. When I was her size I hated my boobs, then I got over it, but also gained weight - and again Im unhappy :(
But thats a different story.
Following bras I hate blog got me on the right track, but on the wrong track at the same time - Its not until I tried all the bras she ranted about and that I realised I need and want more coverage and support. Im turning 28 next month, Im not interested in flashing my boobs around or wearing a cute bra. I want stability, security and comfort :) -
That's sad about the treatment ;/
And security and comfort is what I like as well.

BrasIhate was one of the first blogs I came across when looking for proper brafitting. I love her blog but I some of her bras are really too small on her for my taste. For example in this post: http://brasihate.blogspot.ch/2012/05/freya-antoinette-and-amy-review.html I find the Antoinette too small in the cups and the Amy a good fit on her.
I personally feel better with more coverage. I also need good support, comfort and stability rather than a low cut bra. There aren’t hardly any occaisons I want to show off cleavage anyway.
Btw. I can relate to her story too.
@Eliza: how old are you, If I may ask?:)Back on the Jasmine. I’m sending it back and try to get 30JJ.
I decided to keep the Cleo Natasha, which just fits me the way BrasIhate would claim it a perfect fit:) But I have to say “just fitting” / “bordering on too small” feels a bit more supportive than “a bit extra space on top”. Definately less jiggling going on. -
Aaa the natasha looks lovely in you :) I wouldn't call it a brasIhate fit either, it seems just right :)
Where does it stand compared to alexa? -
thanks:) it only on my bigger boob "a BrasIhate fit" :D Ok compared to Alexa I would say that Alexa allows a bit more room on top than Natasha. I have still a bit of empty space on top of the cups in Alexa and Meg while Natasha fits just smoothily on top. Btw. Alexa and Natasha are really the same cut and also run quite similar in size. I think it was you that compared Meg or was it Alexa to Andorra in 30J? I found it weird that the Alexa had almost the same cup depth in 28J and 30J so I remeasured them this morning (and also Andorra because my 30J had the almost the same cup depth than 32J) and now I think the measurements of cup depth are more accurate on my recent bras. That cup depth measurement can be really tricky on big bras and need to be done with care. Jasmine is when I hold it upon Andorra same cup size but Andorra has a bit more coverage. MEg and Alexa are quite similar. Natasha and Zia have the same cut but Zia runs quite small compared to Natasha. I will write some of that stuff on comparisions on my bras. I always found these very helpful and like to help others too.

alisa: My body's 39 years old and my soul is 3, 12 and 57, which also reflects my style http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/34464_444140320539_5973682_n.jpg
I also agree about the bordering on too small = more supportive. I must be the only one that was totally thrilled by getting top jiggle in bras, because I think it looks beautiful :D However, it's not very comfortable :D
-
Im sorry, but that black-pink-orange printed dress isn't 3,12 or 57 ;) Please acknowledge your inner sexy side :)
-
@Vlatka :D that dress actually hasn't been worn often. I happen to hate leopard. But it was my colors and looked good on.
But dying my hair nuclear red might be seen as accepting my inner sexy side as well :D

helpfulI also got mine today. It seems you and me almost are almost equal in cup size And on me the 30JJ is a bit too big, while the Andorra in 30J was clearly too small. I am going to send back mine anyhow, because I realised I need really low center gores to keep my breasts healthy.
I think you're also between sizes and while you are quadboobing at one side, I guess a 30JJ would be a bit big on your smaller side. From the front the fit looks better than from the sides. Also the stretch lace is a bit mor forgiving in this respect than most styles.
But probably the real connoisseurs have a better answer on your fitting problemsUpdated on November 10, 2012 Flag this

Im sorry for being offtopic, but what bra are you wearing in your profile pic? :)
-
Did you mean Alisa or me, Vlatka. I am wearing the PL Toffik in 65JJ, the one I just sent back to exchange for a 60K.
-
It looks awsome :)))

It looks awsome :)))

Gervaise: Yes I think we are about the same size. When I got my Andorra 5-6 weeks ago it was a perfect fit but now it's clearly too small.
The Jasmine is a good fit on my left boob while my right boob would need 1/2 cup size bigger. Could you add the measurements of your Jasmine? It could be helpful if I could compare it to other bras that fit me.Btw. I second that, PL Toffik looks awesome on you:)
-
Gervaise, nice to see how you look! And I agree, it definitely looks awsome on you!
-
Hm I'm so unsure... I really want to keep it but otherwise I don't want to be sized out of it like 3 weeks later... In the first picture I meant that tissue under my arm that does not fit into the cups. But I'm not sure if thats normal because I have some fat around my body(like backfat) or if I should scoop all of that into the cups?!
